"anywhere else?" Devon walked up to his motorcycle and asked leaning on it slightly.
Winter nodded and went aside to make a few calls.
"Back to my dorm" Winter went and took the helmet, she wore it and sat down waiting for him.
Devon nodded and down, he started the motorcycle and drove off. He stopped just outside her hostel gate like when he arrived.
Winter got off and handed him his helmet.
Papillon and Tobias came forward, it is the weekend so they are all free.
"Do you want to grab breakfast?" Devon asked. Although it is almost noon, she hasn't eaten anything all morning since she woke up late after staying at the club up to early hours of the morning and he came to pick her early.
Winter had a different thought.
'did he hear my stomach groan earlier?'
Her ears turned red with embarrassment and her calm expression almost broke.
'no, the sound of the motorcycle should have covered it'
"No" she said coldly but if someone listened closely they would hear this little fluctuation.
"Then lunch?" He asked not at all disappointed or embarrassed at the way she rejected him.
"Thank you for the ride" She said and turned.
"Bye Princess" He started the motorcycle and drove away with a trail of dust.
Papillon and Tobias turned to him each with different expression.
"Is he a boyfriend or fling?" Tobias asked casually.
"None" Winter replied still patting the dust away from her clothes.
Papillon turned her head to Winter sharply a few sounds of bones cracking echoed loudly.
"Why?!" She grabbed Winter excited shaking her frantically.
Winter stared at Papillon confused and a little scared. The bright look in the latter's eyes dazzled her and scares her.
"What do you mean?" She shrugged out of her tight clasp even giving a feet distance.
"I mean why didn't you agree to breakfast?" Papillon asked lessening the excitement a bit.
"I was going to get it with you guys" Winter replied incredulous. Seriously? Breakfast?
"Forget about us!" Papillon said seriously.
Tobias"..."
"Who is he?" Winter eyes turned calm now thinking rationally. Devon must be someone very important in Powers school for her to be acting like this.
"You don't know him?!" Papillon dropped her jaw. Now she is shocked!
Winter didn't reply just stared at her calmly.
"He is Devon War" she replied but still see the unchanging expression Winter has.
"He is the school topper" she said. The calmness is still there starting to annoy her.
Of course Winter knew. This man's name is all over the school,for his intelligence and handsome face, guess she was wrong about that. His name has been in her mother's mouth for a long time,she intended to retain him as a teacher because a genius like him haven't been seen since Jeremy's time.
However she had no interest in those talks so she never knew his face or anything about him only he is very handsome and is the school topper.
"I don't care" Winter shook her head with a strong lack of interest.
"Don't care?! Do you know what been the school topper is? He is very strong with magic!"
"So?"
"He can help you with that thing you told me" Papillon replied.
Winter shook her head" he can't"
Papillon is stunned, can someone like that not leave the school willingly without been caught.
"Are you sure?" Winter mist be the one mistaken.
"Very sure"
If he could leave the school why did he build his pocket dimension on the school fence and not outside where it will be even more secure. If his reason is because of the other students then he could have built a pathway since doing that is easier than the dimension or leaving the school.
"Are you sure?" Papillon.
"Am very sure!" Winter snapped at her in frustration.
Papillon shut her mouth seeing the scary look on Winter's face. She is very sure.
"Let's go get breakfast" Tobias said breaking the odd atmosphere between the ladies.
Winter took calming breath and walked off.
"Don't mind her attitude" Tobias whispered to Papillon" she is just very hungry"
Papillon shook her head with a smile" I don't mind"
Tobias smiled feeling happy and proud. For once he is been useful to his mistress.
Papillon stared at Winter's back and held back her worst. Devon is the senior with yellow eyes.
They arrived at the restaurant and ordered food.
She saw how Winter wolf down the food and finally believed she is hungry that Tobias isn't covering up for her.
In Josephina office a group of people sat down facing someone at the front.
"I couldn't get any other thing madam" The person bowed deeply. The whole group showed anger and disappointment. Only one odd person signed in relief.
However someone in the group showed stronger disappointment and anger towards the person bowing.
This didn't escape the person eyes, the eyes dimmed and grew deep.
'never ever' the person thought.
"You are dismissed" Josephina waved her hand and turned to the people sitting.
The person wisely left the place.
"So what do you guys propose?" She asked with a deep furrow. The matter on hand is taking too long and is a ticking time bomb!
"Why don't we get someone close to it's side?" A woman with a very long green hair suggested. She had several other beautiful features on her body but her squinted eyes showed calculating.
"We tried that Queen Nyren! They all keep getting destroyed" someone said agitated constantly moving restlessly.
"Alpha Ian is right" A woman said calmly with a cool and collected aura around her. She is the ruler of the waters, Aqua Mari
"Any other suggestions?" Josephina couldn't help but look down on the Fairy Queen Nyren. The woman has always been a dead weight in the team.
"Why don't we leave 'it' for now?" A discordant voice said a little timid.
Everyone turned their gaze to him with a strange look on their faces.
"Know your place" A deep and intimidating voice said coldly and harshly to the odd voice. He is the king of vampires Pierre
"Don't say stupid things Joshua!" Nyren said with a angry look making her face looks particularly twisted completely different from her kind features.
Josephina rubbed her forehead tiredly.
"Meeting adjourned" Josephina said.
They all stood up at once and bowed.
The board left the office all with their different expression.
Joshua walked away from the others nervously thinking about what will happen. What will happen to the whole world!
