The bond between a pet and its owner is indescribable. Seeing him die, Eros expressed helplessness in his eyes.
He had to stand up for his friend, a friend who woke him up early in the morning. A friend who never betrayed him and always supported him emotionally.
Eroa couldn't afford to lose him. Or he had to fight back against this anguish. He scooped his cat, crossed his legs, and observed black veins which were over his body. He bit his lips in frustration.
"Why did you do that, you moron? Why?"
Klaus' breathing was slower than usual as he was struggling to grasp. His eyes were shut, like he would pass away any minute.
Watching this, Mir's heart wrenched as if he had one, as gloominess was painted on his face.
"Eros, why are your eyes numb? He is not dead." Mir interjected and got closer to him. "Being a nature myself, I can't bear this. I feel pain. I feel sad. What you guys have done to us is never equivalent to what we give you. "
Many won't understand what Mir was trying to imply. He wanted to tell greedy humans that the earth is for everyone, not just them.
He ripped his mushroom cap in half, which was followed by a silent screech. A few tears flowed out of his eyes. The boy, who had never shared sunlight with his sister, was willing to sacrifice this.
He extended his hand with a warm smile.
"Give him. He will heal after having this. Our body can cure any neurotoxin, including yours." He did it with no regret.
Eros silently took it, slowly feeding it to his cat. The smell of purple oyster mushrooms was earthy, but the taste was awful.
His chest wasn't feeling heavier than earlier. Despite his sudden relief, someone was watching him creepily. It had eight legs, six eyes, and produced the strongest silk.
She was devouring the ant carcass while studying the man's body. He was enough to feed all eighty children that were developing in a silksac.
"Babies, you don't need to feed on ants. " She said that to her children.
"Well, such delicious prey near my cobweb." Mother spider said it viciously. It had been a week since she had feasted on a human.
"Kukuku. How wonderful!" She whispered as she emerged out of the darkness. Her blue eyes were depths of enigma yet alluring. She was around 3 feet, her head brownish red while legs were green.
"Go away, you bug. I am in no mood to fight. " Eros yelled in frustration.
She observed him closely and could recognise this guy and his pet. And also Mir, who was standing beside him but looked sick. The boy deserved it after ripping her cobwebs.
"Huh, so finally, a vile human tastes his own medicine. " With that, she sprayed a web shooter at him.
Before it reached him, Eros instinctively activated his dome. He gave her an icy stare and took out a dagger within a fraction of a second. It happened so fast that Eros had already slashed her legs, reducing them by five. She didn't get time to react, the Crucelan spider was already on the ground in agony.
"Don't mess with me, or next I will ravage your bloodline. " He threatened her while enraged in a ghastly silence.
Eros returned to his pet, who was in a grave situation. On the other hand, Mir didn't look well either.
Eros shut his eyes and pressed his temple in distress. He analysed the whole series of events that happened until now. Mushrooms used mind magic to remember that particular event out of all memories. Then Sebastian went missing, and at last he found pure M2 magic. Some might assume that it was all an accident and nothing else. When Eros connected all the dots, he didn't think it was an accident. It might have been pre-planned. The question is, who would go to the extent of hurting him so much.
Eros laughed hysterically after coming to a conclusion. Being the great evil lord, so many of his enemies wanted him to die. It was clear someone was plotting against him.
This forest might have many nemesis and plot against him. He looked at the crippled spider, who was struggling to crawl. Eros went near her.
Observing her, she looked grotesque as her blood was gushing out of his exoskeleton.
"Tell me who sent you. " He asked in
The Crucelean spider offered a wry smile and watched the man with her six eyes. "No one, you moron. But you should have asked for that flat-bottom mushroom. " She pointed at Mir with disdainful eyes.
She knew something.
"Tell me the name of the person who is planning to kill me, or I will perish your bloodline.
"Go ahead. We don't surrender to a vile man like you. A mother knows when to sacrifice her children for war." Her words were cold as ice, as if she were prepared to die along with her 150 children.
Cyrus' face turned pale and was unable to comprehend what was happening in Estomoforest. The way she said that only meant something terror was going to take place here.
"I don't care whether you live or not. But I don't accept that you are sacrificing your children for meaningless war. " Eros affirmed.
At the moment, he would have to find two things: Sebastian and the cure of his poison.
