Eros McFlan was going east. And he was tracking Sebastian through his wrist watch. It was a satellite device that traced his current location. At the moment, Sebastian was heading to the solitude cave.
Some might wonder why he didn't use satellite GPS when Sebastian disappeared. That time, he couldn't because the force field obstructed it. This started working.
He hoped he wasn't in any trouble.
The Entomoforest was full of wonders and mysticism, like a second ago when he noticed a flower. That reddish flower was dancing back and forth. Therefore, he wasn't here for sightseeing.
Klaus softly purred as if he might be hungry. He stopped and took out his favourite cat food from his spatial device. After feeding him, of course, he didn't eat much.
Eros glanced at the monitor, where it showed Sébastien's pendant stopped at a river. Eros sped up his pace and took an unconventional route where he would not have encountered potential danger.
Eros jumped at one branch, then another, like a ninja, while considering Klaus' safety. A few questions rose in his mind, like how Mir was aware of his curse. Unfortunately, he couldn't get an answer out of his mouth as he was sleeping peacefully. In the current scenario, it was better that he didn't wake him up.
The hue of orange was disappearing while darkness emerged in the umpteenth distance. It wasn't good news for Eros, as some creatures of the Estomoforest were nocturnal.
His feet stopped when he glanced at the colossal cave, which was primitive yet carved a fang entrance into the den. This was where Sebastian was dwelling.
His face was full of horror, not because he was afraid of an unknown creature. What if Sébastien perished?
Eros sighed and wondered who lived in this gruesome place. He went further, his eyes enlarged, to discover piles of bones and carcasses from many animals.
Whoever it was, Eros was prepared to defeat him. Inside, the cave looked grotesque, and the smell of urine and corpses was everywhere.
He took out the perfume and sprayed it so he could calm his senses. Yes, Eros' habit wasn't like that of a poor hunter who would survive with anything. He liked luxury because he had spent everything on it. Not his fault if a naive hunter wanted to live like a rag.
Speaking of danger, the large snake was sleeping with his eyes shut. He also noticed Sebastian lying beside him, but he was quite pale.
Seeing an opening, Eros swiftly moved towards the snake. His first immediate thought was to thump his body, although it could be a foolish idea. So he chose a brilliant tactic that hurt him, the snake max.
It was to cut his head with his katana.
He held the Katana tightly and was ready to strike his head. The katana smoothly slashed off his head in one cut. It was so effortless that Eros blinked twice.
Soon, his grin vanished when he saw the snake disappear in thin air. A moment ago, he was there, sleeping peacefully. His golden eyes went to Sébastien, who was no longer here.
Eros laughed, baffled, and couldn't help saying it out loud. "Illusion. Huh, hate it."
Suddenly, a large tail approached him with the idea of injuring him. He dodged it before it could crush his bones.
"So, like every weakling, you also know illusion magic?" Eros said it coldly, without looking back. He gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his katana tightly.
"You seem biassed towards illusion asters. Some history with it, mate. " Abel showed his fang while disdaining him.
"Hmm. " No mood to answer, he changed his weapon asap and threw a pair of daggers at him.
Abel constricted his body before daggers touched him. Little did he know that Eros had never missed his target since his late twenties. Never!
It slightly touched the tip of the scale.
*Boom.* They exploded like a firework in a serene sky. The impact was so great that his stomach was gushing out crimson blood.
Abel couldn't believe his own eyes and took a quick glance at a monster. As he was grasping, Eros silently approached him like a devious reptile and grabbed his neck. And, aware of his venomous teeth, he offered an evil smile.
"I hate weaklings, and you are the definition of it." Fighting a bug like him didn't excite his lungs and pump up his blood.
The thrill of fighting a good opponent was something he was missing here. At last, he decided to end his life. He was already bored with him. Not to mention that his curse is already worsening his injury.
He moved his attention to his head and quickly retrieved his katana through inventory space.
"I have never thought that I would use magic so early. Seeing a great warrior like you, I have to. " Abel said it in determination while showing his vicious fangs. He stepped further from him.
Eros nodded, indicating he accepted his challenge. He studied his movement and clenched his katana.
"Madness of needles." He cast his first spell as thousands of needles were launched towards Eros. The cave was narrow, so he wouldn't get the opportunity to block it. Nor could he use magic.
Instead of panicking, he expressed excitement like an innocent child.
'Yeah! This is what I am saying.' He thought to himself.
Abel is closely monitoring Eros and is interested to see what he will do next. If he dodged this, then the snake already planned his next attack. He also cast a regenerative spell to heal himself.
Somehow, Abel just blinked for a moment; he lost his sight, and all the needles were crashing here and there. The loud sound echoed, scattering dusty fog in its wake.
The fog cleared, and Abel opened his maw in disbelief.
"Where has he gone?" The next moment, he watched as a hand approached him. His life flashed in his eyes as Eros hit him violently.
The snake fell backwards. His front fang was also broken. Abel felt dizziness as a large coconut fell over his head.
Eros sighed in bitterness and walked towards him. He was heartless as a stone as Eros discreetly cut his tail with no pity in his eyes.
"Now you look better. " He mocked him and revealed an ugly snare.
Abel silently endured it, controlling his emotions like a true warrior.
"So, tell me where my friend is."
Abel, whose head was hurting like hell, couldn't comprehend anything. Furthermore, the pain was beyond, yet he was not ready to surrender to the devil.
"Haha! My tongue won't tell me anything. Mightiest Evil Lord, tell me how you shield. yourself from my attack. "
How the man blocked his attack then swiftly punched him. Naturally, Eros could use an expensive item, but sadly, reality was different from expectations.
Before needles touched him, he noticed a hole and hid himself there. Then sneakily attacked him. Of course it was a fluke, but he wouldn't need to mention this.
"You don't know what I am capable of. " He answered arrogantly, as he was ready to slice him again. "I won't ask you twice, so tell me where my friend is. "
Those who were not aware of snakes could spit it out of their food if they didn't find it suitable to digest it. In that case, this similar thing happened. Abel didn't digest Sebastian; it only meant that a couple of people were involved in punishing Eros.
Abel didn't answer. Watching that, he felt agitated. "It seems you don't value your life. "
Abel cried, "I will do anything for my home. "
Eros didn't hesitate and raised his katana. Before that, a solemn voice rang over his head.
"You should rein your hand, Eros."
