Chapter 24 - The Rise of the Sorcerer

The news began spreading like wildfire across the world. Newspapers flooded the markets, carrying on their front pages a name that everyone now knew: Kai, the young man who kidnapped a Marine commander in Loguetown and earned the nickname "The Sorcerer."

In the East Blue, where most legends and stories were born, eyes eagerly awaited every new development with excitement and curiosity. There wasn't a city or small village that wasn't interested in the news. People gathered around newspaper vendors, eager to learn more about this young man who had turned the tables and asserted himself as a new player in the game.

In the ports and streets, conversations revolved around Kai. Anyone who heard his name felt a desire to learn more. His description was perplexing—he was said to be a young man with dark black hair and eyes that shone with a cunning glint, and he had a strange ability to disappear and reappear in different places in the blink of an eye, adding to his mystery.

"Have you heard about the Sorcerer?" was a question on everyone's lips.

"Yes, the young man who built the art store in Loguetown, right? How could someone like him kidnap a Marine commander?" someone asked curiously.

"Yeah, but they say he has extraordinary powers. He can open magical doors and travel through them to places no one could imagine," replied another.

The rumors were growing day by day, weaving countless stories around them. Some said he possessed a rare Devil Fruit that gave him the ability to manipulate time and space, while others believed he was the son of one of the legendary pirates whose spirits had returned to wreak havoc on the seas once again.

In the neighboring islands, especially in the East Blue, newspapers were delivered early in the morning, covered with bold headlines and pictures talking about "The Sorcerer" Kai. This mysterious young man who kidnapped Marine commander Ravaigan and left him on an unknown island. Some pictures showed paintings of the art store he established in Loguetown, with hints that other branches of it were beginning to appear in random places around the world.

**Chaos and fame that Kai had never dreamed of were now coming to him on a silver platter.**

In every city and village, people gathered around newspaper vendors, talking about Kai as if they were discussing a legendary figure straight out of the pages of history. In taverns and cafés, conversations revolved around him. Some saw him as a new hero emerging to challenge the existing order, while others viewed him as a criminal who should be captured immediately.

In Loguetown itself, the city that witnessed his beginning, things were in turmoil. People were talking about him and the disappearance of Ravaigan, and they were beginning to ask: Was Kai truly a sorcerer? How could he make a Marine commander disappear? And how could no one stop him?

As the news spread, the Marines began to take action more seriously. They decided to consider Kai a dangerous pirate, especially after he managed to kidnap one of their commanders, which was a great insult to them. Quickly, a bounty of **50 million Berries** was announced for anyone who could contribute to his capture. The bounty was large for a beginner pirate, but it reflected the chaos he had caused in the Marines' ranks.

The bounty spread as newspapers circulated around the world. Everyone now knew his name after previously being unaware of it. "Kai" was a name echoing everywhere, from the East Blue to the West Blue, from the Southern islands to the Northern. It seemed the entire world was talking about him, wondering about him, even trying to predict his next move.

The Marines were working hard to control the news and suppress it before it reached everyone's ears. The task seemed impossible. Every time they tried to stop the flow of information, it was like trying to catch water with their hands—it slipped and leaked through their fingers every time.

Kai emerged from the magical wooden door to find himself in front of his simple hut on the coast of Loguetown, surrounded by the gentle sea breeze and warm sunlight. For a moment, Kai felt at ease, back in a place he knew well, but the chaos he stirred up in Loguetown and which quickly spread across the East Blue still burned in his mind. He stood before the hut, watching the waves crash against the rocks with their rhythmic sounds, and smiled calmly. He had embarked on a long and arduous journey, but he knew this was the right time to expand his influence in the East Blue.

Kai decided to expand the scope of his art shops, not just in Loguetown, but throughout the East Blue. He thought of the countless islands he hadn't visited before, islands his feet had never set upon. And because he didn't have the ability to instantly move to places he hadn't visited yet, he realized that the best option for him was to use his wings and soar into the sky.

He looked at the distant horizon, then spread his massive wings, which were formed from mysterious shadows, as if they extended from his very being. The feathers of the wings stretched in the air, appearing to shimmer under the sunlight. Kai turned slowly, then leapt into the air skillfully, flying high above the coast.

From above, Loguetown looked small, just a dot in a vast sea.

Kai began flying toward the nearest island from Loguetown, Shimotsuki Island, known for its rich history in martial arts. He felt the joy of freedom as he flew through the air, with the ocean wind filling his wings and giving him strength. While flying, Kai noticed how the clouds moved slowly beneath his wings, and the shimmering waters extended to the endless horizon. The air was fresh and invigorating, carrying with it the scent of the sea and salt, which filled his spirit with enthusiasm for the upcoming adventure.

Upon reaching Shimotsuki, Kai landed gently in the heart of the city, where people gathered to watch him. It wasn't strange for them, but they were amazed when they saw a young man descending from the sky with mythical wings. Kai began to move slowly, wandering through the bustling market, followed by looks of astonishment and wonder from everyone.

"Who is this?" one of the locals asked in a trembling voice. "Is he... a sorcerer?"

But Kai ignored the comments and whispers, and simply started setting up his new art shop in the middle of the town. The shop was a large tent filled with books, drawings, sculptures, and anything that could catch people's attention and curiosity. The townsfolk began to gather around him, drawn by curiosity to see what this mysterious person was offering.

The reactions were mixed.

At first, there was some suspicion and fear of strangers, but these feelings quickly turned into excitement and curiosity. The children were the most enthusiastic, running towards the shop and exploring every corner of it. The adults were more reserved, but even they couldn't resist the allure of exploring the beautiful and unique artworks.

Kai continued flying from one island to another. On each island, he opened a new shop and attracted more attention. From Conomi, the quiet island famous for its orange groves, to Syrup Village, home to Captain Kuro's pirates, where he faced some challenges from the local population.

When he arrived at Oro Island, he faced much caution and fear, as this island was known as a haven for criminals and outlaws. But even here, Kai managed to intrigue people, drawing them to his shop with enchanting artistic displays, which breathed new life into the island and inspired its inhabitants to experience new cultures and arts.

**On every island, the reactions differed, but chaos followed Kai wherever he went.**

Some saw him as a hero, others saw him as a threat. But regardless of the opinions, everyone was talking about him. In markets, cafés, and homes, there was no talk except about Kai and his mysterious shops, about his ability to fly, and about his magical powers that seemed to surpass human understanding.

At the end of a long day of flying and landing, Kai stood before a system screen that appeared in front of him. The number of shops was steadily increasing, and with each new shop, his authority and influence grew. The screen clearly displayed the number of shops he now owned:

"**Shops: 15**."

Kai smiled to himself, feeling the thrill of victory. He knew this was just the beginning, and that there were still many islands in the East Blue, and perhaps in the entire world, that he needed to visit, and that the chaos he had caused was only the beginning.

But he also knew that the Marines wouldn't stand idly by. They knew they couldn't control the unknown, but he knew that every step he took would bring them closer to him, closer to uncovering his true identity and goals.

But Kai was ready for that. He was prepared to face the challenges ahead, to create more chaos, and to continue his adventure in this world, which had now become a stage for his bold schemes.

Kai turned, spread his wings once more, ready to fly to a new island, a new adventure, a new chaos.
