"Wake up. Come on.. don't be a baby." The motherly voice of lady was calling Arya, but he needed the comfort of his pillow more than ever.
"I need rest, I had bad day." Arya didn't want to leave his bed, afterall he received the comfort of a long time. Anastasia on the other hand, wasn't budging either.
"You have 10 minutes, listen to me. In 10 minutes in my room or, I'll make you wash the entire ravine's clothes." Anastasia left the room and closed down the door.
"What a pain in the ass.., I need a break. What do they think I am?" Arya didn't move for next few seconds, but reluctantly got up from his bed and got ready to take a bath.
He collected his things and, went near the bath, and saw that sun still wasn't out through his window. "What the hell are they planning?"
----
Later the Arya got dressed and moved out of his room, he wondered what time it was? There were no clocks in the house, or in fact the entire ravine. Sun and moon were the only symbols of time.
He stood in front of Anastasia and her husband's room, but his heart wanted to see Reva first. He had done something terrible to her, but there were more things to do than playing guilty.
Arya opened the door using the handle and stepped inside.
"Hello?" River and Anastasia both were missing, the room was empty, "Anyone there." The magic prism of both the room and the bathroom was not working.
The magic prism lit up and Arya got to look at the room of the couple, it was quite he had expected.
The size was little bigger than his, with 1 bed, a bathroom, a mirror with some cosmetics and collection of butterflies in a case on the wall, alongside a portrait of their marriage. Arya took the picture from the wall and looked at it again.
"At least somebody has a happy married life going..." In the picture Arya saw himself and Ina for a second and that made him place it back at the wall once again.
"Where is all the research things? There are no blood samples, books or portions?" The room of two researcher with a single piece of actual research, this bugged Arya. There was secret hidden here, but where?
Arya moved towards looked at something peculiar, the door near the bathroom was identical to the door at the opening of the room, Arya moved closer to the door. He tried to look through the tint glass, but something came.
'They invited me, it's there problem is something get out of there." Resolving this to himself, Arya took the handle and opened the door and the second room came to him.
"It's the same." Small light from the magic prism got into the other room and Arya was able to see that the two rooms were identical copies of each other. Everything was same, the beds, collection, in fact there another door at the end.
"This is beyond my thinking. What things are going on in his 5 room house?" Arya closed the door shaking his head in disbelief.
"Arya." Arya jerked his head when River called him from behind, he was leaning on the front door.
"You're late. It has been more half a hour since we called you here."
"Can you stop acting like you are my father? And what time were you waking me up? The sun has not even risen yet." Arya complained on River complaint.
"Alot I can say, but it is better if we don't argue, Mercy is out in the wild since the night, he left a letter. He said no problems inside the house. Come down and have dinner." River moved down to the dining table and Arya followed him.
At the dining table, two of them took a seat and River began eating the bread and butter on his plate, "Ana is in the kitchen and cooking today. She cooks amazing, far better than Mercy in my opinion. She made vegetable stew for you, eat and drink it all while it's hot."
River muched down the bread, and Arya looked at his stew. It was made of vegetables, and some meat chops. He picked up the spoon and took a bite. The flavour came right into his tongue,
"Hmmm... it is good. You are right about it being better than Mercy." Arya slightly lied, Mercy's stew had better spice and salt, it was much planer in comparison.
"Told you! Darling, Arya loved your soup. I told you the salt and spice were in the right amount." Arya bit his tongue when River spoke out to Ana in the kitchen.
"Shh... It is early in the morning, Sera and Reva are still sleeping, You'll wake them up speaking aloud like this. Sit and eat properly." Ana came out of the room, wearing a white apron instead of Mercy's green.
"She looks... so gorgeous." With her hair tied back with back into a ponytail, Ana looked more younger and far more attractive. Arya remembered he need to eat and began eating the stew like normal.
"Arya, darling. Did the spice and salt were right? I think the salt was a bit less." Ana questioned.
Arya stopped in his position, what does he do now?
"Should I go with my word? or do I say the truth?" Arya did great evaluations were coming to any answer.
"I like more spicy food more, if you are making anything for me. Please add more spice for me, the salt is fine." Arya choose the third plan, take it another direction.
"Okay, I have another point to take care off." Anastasia nodded and removed the apron and opened up her hair and took seat on the table. She ate a plate of salad on the table.
"What about Reva and Sera, don't they want to eat anything?" Arya asked.
"Reva told me yesterday that she doesn't anything today. About Sera... you know she is little different when it comes to eating than normal people." Ana replied.
" About..." Arya wanted to ask about Reva, but he couldn't continue, "... about Sera, why you think she is like this? Like how she eats raw meat, and can stay without food after that." his words changed.
The atmosphere got a little tense when Arya said that, Ana kept eating her salad, but River had a different reaction.
"I am fully convinced that she is a serpent in human form." River said before he took a bite. Ana didn't argue, she kept eating her food.
"Her eating habits, sleeping habits, the way her face looks, hair and specially her teeth are. I can bet that she is a serpent in disguise, but..." River stopped then and there.
"If you think why didn't you use 'Havias' on her? After all, transformation can be cancelled by Havias." Arya argued, but internally he supported his notion.
"Because, the spell doesn't do anything when used on her." Ana spoke up, "One day, I was playing with Sera in our room, there was dust on the floor, I picked some in my hand and threw it at her and used the spell. Nothing happened." Ana rubbed her forehead.
"On the other note, her blood is just like human blood, I tried some tests on her blood, she passed all tests for a human. That girl's functioning is the biggest mystery of my life."
Silence had a grasped the table once again, everyone was thinking until Arya broke it.
"Maybe she is going a transformation spell that cannot be broken using Havias?" He proposed the impossible.
"ha.." Ana smiled and looked at Mercy, " Magus Lavilana, the second greatest wizard of all time, he created that spell when the talking serpent, challenged him do so. He sent the rest of his life making the transformation spell. People saw the wizard 1500 years ago, were far stronger than the ones today, do you think anyone can improve that?" Ana was sure there was no greater thing, but Arya had his words ready.
"River do you have record of bone bears in the forest of blood?" Silence came as answer,
"I didn't know, bone bear and ground rats would live in the forest of blood, but yesterday that information changed, too. The world is changing faster than we adapt, to survive we need to adapt to whatever that comes our way." Arya was determined.
"Then is there any other way to prove that Sera is snake's transformation?" Ana inquired.
"I don't think, if a new transformation spell is there, how could be a wizard so powerful to make it? This transformation magic is the superior than the greatest form of illusion magic, when blood's form is altered, where could be a person so special?"
The atmosphere became very tense when River finished his words, the answer was obvious. So much that they didn't want to believe it. The girl had no parents, there was just one guardian.
"Mercy is human who can use spells, so he cannot be a snake. Why would he ever make a serpent his niece?" Arya argued against the idea.
"I don't know, Arya. You haven't seen Mercy's ability as a wizard, he could be a Magus at any magic school teaching illusions. Today, I'll tell you what is the limit of his power."
"His limit? Wait there are magic school in this world now?"
