Innate abilities were like dantian which already possessed a certain quality or characteristic already, so they followed the E-S grouping. Most cultivators in the present day were born with blank dantian. Only a cultivation technique could help such a person advance. For innate ability users, however, already had a head start, and could also add up movement or attack techniques to further boost their strength.
Basically, innate ability users could use techniques, but technique users had no means of accessing an innate ability.
"Most dragons are actually depicted as massive organisms that tower the earth, smashing through anything in their path with a torrent of flames, but that is only the half-truth." Old Dragon sneered as he seemed to remember something.
"With Omnitransformation, most dragons morph into other creatures, or become draconian. The ones who truly stay in their natural forms eventually evolve to True Dragons, while the wimps become Lesser Dragons." After he finished, Old Dragon stood put on a majestic face. All that remained was for a beam of sunlight to shine on it's apparition.
Iguro suddenly seemed to realize something, and laughed a bit embarrassedly, looking at the apparition of the Old Dragon with a red face.
"Spoilt brat!" Old Dragon cackled, and transferred another set of techniques to Iguro.
"I have imparted Fiery Fist to you. Try to practice and grow stronger. I cannot have a weak descendant."
Iguro and Old Dragon simultaneously stared at the crystal dragon for a moment, who seemed to have been stuck within a chunk of charred flesh. It's head wriggled uncomfortably, and a burst of flames burst out soon after, turning the charred corpse of the snake into ash. A gust of wind blew, and the ashes drifted off, leaving a brown core.
With a happy expression, the crystal dragon swallowed the core instantly, revealing a joyous expression. Old Dragon sighed and slowly faded from view. The crystal dragon looked at Iguro for several moments, and dove into his chest, becoming a dragon tattoo.
Surprised, Iguro looked at the dragon tattoo that curled from his chest region to both his hands. With a thought, the tattoo glowed, and he felt his power increase. With a thought, he swiftly departed from the poison mist he had inadvertently created, though the mist shouldn't be too poisonous as the snake's grade wasn't high.
Days passed, and he remained at the border of the periphery and mid region, facing off against beasts. However, he encountered some bad luck a while later and ran into a peak Normal Grade ape, and could only passively defend. The damned ape seemed to know that he wasn't it's match and continued toying with him in amusement.
He eventually escaped using a smokescreen from his flames, but that only ended up creating a mild forest fire and a pack of apes chasing after him in rage.
It took over two days trying to lose the bloodthirsty apes, and if not for his extremely high grade Qi and the few techniques he recently learnt, he would have been torn to shreds long ago. After moving for so long, he already lost track of where his position was currently in, and he looked around a bit confusedly and fearfully, trying to scan the surrounding areas.
Though it was a hunch, he was sure he had already reached the core of Korax. He quickly stiffened as his breath slowed, diving into some bushes below. A moment later, he heard a growl, and instinctively held his breath.
He didn't need to look to know that a massive bear had picked up on his scent and was actively searching for him. Feeling the creature sniff at the bushery he hid in. His breathing hitched all the more, and with a nose poking at his arm, he suddenly shot up and shouted, "Go eat fish or something!"
*Growl... *
"P-pinnacle Normal grade....." Iguro suddenly gulped. He quickly flashed away, narrowly avoiding a claw swipe. Cursing his luck blatantly, he pushed his movement technique to the limit and desperately tried to lose the enraged bear.
A trail of fire followed him as an angry bear smashed through whatever lay in its path, roaring at his distant figure. After an hour, the bear was still chasing him, but Iguro's mentality had calmed a bit, and he actually began to toy with the creature. He had been chased by apes with considerable movement abilities for nearly over a week. Alas, he managed to escape, speak less of a lumbering bear.
Noticing his lack of interest, the bear became enraged, and accidentally set foot on one of his blazing trails he left behind. quickly stepped away, losing it's footing and causing it to fall. Iguro raised a brow in surprise, and quickly flashed towards it.
Controlling the trails he left behind so as not to create another forest fire, he enveloped the bear in a net created by his lingering trails, both in the air and on the ground.
The trails usually lasted for about ten seconds before dissipating, as his mastery with the skill was extremely shallow. However, instead of trying to rid himself of the obvious track he left behind, he actively incorporated it as a form of entrapment.
The bear growled endlessly, often slamming it's fists on the ground, generating mild earthquakes. In a one-on-one battle, Iguro would undoubtedly be torn to shreds, but the fire Iguro produced were extremely pure, courtesy of his dantian attribute and Little Dragon.
Iguro contemplated deeply, suddenly ignoring the outside world totally.
Blazing Steps allowed him to utilize his Qi to push him forward. However, due to the nature of the skill and his Yang attributed Qi, a trail of fire was left behind. Normally, this trail was very dangerous, being as wild as normal fire.
If the cultivator wasn't careful, he could cause unknown damage, or even leaving a clear path as to where he went to. However, it was not called Blazing Steps for nothing. Iguro's understanding of this skill suddenly deepened, and he underwent a state of comprehension.
AU: Due to some factors I mentioned in the previous chapter, chapters per week will be reduced from seven to five. :/. I'll try to get it back up soon though, so bear for a bit:D
