As he finished, Iguro sucked in air subconsciously while sipping the beverage he was drinking, nearly choking him. He was not the only one to have this reaction as one of the people seated round the table directly spat out the drink from his mouth onto his neighbor seating across him.
"The hell?!"
Iguro frowned. On a normal basis, the UA would never be willing to share such amazing rewards with anyone. What exactly stopped them from monopolizing this amazing resource? Iguro's face only became more ugly as he thought about it.
The Malevolent Orb's presence definitely indicated some evil presence within. When calculating the time he spent within the wild and the release date for the portal to Savannah Red, Iguro chalked his estimate to barely two months.
Though it still seemed like it was far away, time could fly when one was busy.
A slam on his table suddenly interrupted his thought, jolting him back to reality.
"Uhh....hello?" Iguro stared awkwardly at a group of four that suddenly appeared in front of him, instantly surrounding his table. Quickly grabbing seats, they unceremoniously sat down and continued their rude gazes.
Confused, Iguro was about to stand when on of the four suddenly spoke, his voice trying to sound as polite as possible.
"Young star! We're from a branch of Bloody Apes Gang and we noticed your.....interesting attire." A man who's body screamed stiff, looked at him with a disguised envious look, trying to look as amiable as possible.
In actuality, Iguro already knew what they wanted and silently cursed Luck for making the Starry Sky Robes. The robes were as good as indestructible, including the fact that Iguro hadn't done much fighting in the first place. He nearly puked out blood when he heard the gang name, and nearly couldn't resist coughing out his drink.
"Trying to defeat you with the robes would be pointless, but you could help out our Bloody Ape Gang. A set of elites from the gang will be picked for our expedition into Savanah Red. With your Superior Grade Earth treasure, you could definitely come out on top!" The man spoke, failing to conceal the malicious intent within his eyes.
"Superior Earth Grade?" Finally, Iguro couldn't resist anymore and spat out the contents of his drink on the man directly.
What crappy Superior Earth Grade?! Luck barely put any thought into making the robes!
[By your realm's standards, it should be able to resist one of my Cosmic Waves. For like, half a second though.]
[AU: The Inferior, Mediocre, Superior and Heavenly were a subgrouping of the Normal, Earth, and Mystery grade. Sorry for the misunderstanding. :/]
Suddenly remembering Luck's words, Iguro felt like vomiting out what he just ate.
He hadn't thought about it at the time, but Luck's Cosmic Wave, based on his strength alone was enough to crush a whole building into dust! Iguro had thought that the extent of Cosmic Wave was producing a shockwave, but it was actually much more different. Luck had just held back by a lot because of the surrounding people and not wanting to create a mess.
He suddenly ground his teeth in regret. If he knew at the time, how would he have let Luck sell it at five hundred Superior Soul Stones? His heart clenched tightly in pain, and he looked extremely bitter.
However, those Starry Sky Robes and the one he wore was different. Luck created this one only to clothe himself, while he actively incorporated space defence mechanisms in the ones he sold.
"What do you say?" the man pretended as if he hadn't been drenched in a cold drink and kept up the stiff smile.
"Honestly, I was contemplating it, but your gang name is unacceptable." Iguro huffed and stood up, walking away.
Gang name?
Unacceptable?
Their faces contorted in a mix of confusion and puzzlement before settling on anger. A man beside the one who spoke to him said in irritation,"I told you to rip it off him! He even poured whatever he drank on you!"
The man growled at the person who spoke, causing him to keep shut. He wanted to raise his arm and point menacingly at Iguro, but found his body a bit sticky, causing him to feel weird. The words he was about to suddenly shout suddenly stopped in his throat, and he coughed, nearly choking himself.
The surrounding people looked at them like clowns. Obviously, they had been coveting Iguro's garment too and hoped a fight would break out. Within the chaos, no one would know who managed to snatch the robes off the lad.
However, the man suddenly seemed at a loss for words, and the surrounding people stared at him with a mixture of disdain and hate, causing him to feel even more pained.
"Let's leave." With a somewhat embarrassed look, he quickly walked out and followed Iguro silently, alongside the four.
__________
Iguro grinned as he easily noticed the bunch following. As a group with such a vulgar name, naturally it's members would be just as vulgar. He could practically feel the murderous intent being directed towards him from a kilometer.
With a huff, he slowed down his speed and prentended to look at a place with familiarity.
Just as expected, they followed him much more hurriedly, and even began circulating their techniques. Iguro silently sneered, and he walked into a small alley between two huge buildings. The alley was deep, and soon led to a dead end.
As Iguro pretended to be shocked at his sudden arrival at this place, he turned around in confusion to leave. However, four figures dropped down with a loud thud, their ragged breaths blowing out ferociously as they stared at him with greed.
Though he was not in the slight bit unnerved, three Lower E ranked cultivators and one Lower D ranked would be difficult to defeat, and from the sound of their gang name and the sudden enlargement of their bodies, it would take outstanding strength to defeat them, which he currently lacked.
AU: Just wanted to add a random note here lol. Ignore my antics XD. Besides, it's a special day today around here. ^_^
