When they arrived at the orphanage, the 9 kids that were rejected went to bed, while Dan went to his other friends to tell them that he was accepted and his experience from the assessment.
Eiji also went to his bed, it was already past noon so he was quite hungry.
The children and sister Rebecca has food that was prepared for them, so they ate after calling the children.
While eating, sister Rebecca consoled the kids and gave them other paths they could take in the future.
Eiji also listened to sister Rebecca, even if he was accepted at the school, it doesn't necessarily mean that he was gonna be a great swordsman or even an official swordsman!
So knowing what he can do in the future is also something that shouldn't be forgotten.
----
When afternoon came, Eiji went to the director's office once again.
*Knock knock!
"Come in!"
Eiji went in after hearing sister Rebecca's voice.
"Eiji?! What's the matter?"
Eiji looked down as he fidgeted.
"Uhhm... Sister Rebecca.....I ..I want to apply for the ... dormitories in the school."
At his last words, Eiji looked up directly to sister Rebecca.
"?"
Sister Rebecca was stunned at first but then smiled.
"Are you sure? It's really hard living alone at your age!"
"I-Im sure!"
"Hmm...tell me the reason first."
"I...I don't really have any reason...I just want to try live alone, I...I don't want to bother sister Rebecca anymore...!"
Sister Rebecca smiled at Eiji as she looked at him.
It wasn't really that uncommon for orphans to try and live alone.
In fact those that still live in the orphanage are the rare cases.
But she wants to see and know what Eiji is thinking. He was a silent kid, very polite and he makes himself invisible most of the time which made him a bit isolated in the orphanage.
There were other kids that try talk and play with him, but he just accompanies them sometimes.
"Alright! You can live in the Dormitories!"
"... Thank you sister Rebecca!"
"But just remember, you can always come back here if you ever need my help okay?!"
"Okay!! Thank you once again sister Rebecca!"
"Hahah alright!"
After Eiji left, sister Rebecca was a bit sad that another child would once again embark in a dangerous path.
Although she knew would sometimes tell them the hardships of becoming a swordsman, she won't try to stop the kids dreams and would just leave it up to fate.
She can only teach and guide them over this short period of time that they are together, but after that is something that she has no control over.
And although the school was only an hour's walk away, but with the training menu and other assignments and activities that all students have to go through, she knew that Eiji will only have a few times that he can visit back.
---
Eiji went back to his room and started taking out his clothes and other things that he'll be bringing in the school dormitories.
The other kids sharing a room with him asking him questions why his packing his things and how was the school assessment.
Because of his good mood, Eiji answered all their questions and gave them tips when they are going to go to the assessment in the future.
The night quickly passed by.
The next morning after breakfast, Eiji, Dan and sister Rebecca are now going back to the school.
And from the looks of it, Dan also talked to sister Rebecca in living in the Dormitories.
With both kids carrying their bags, they walked out the orphanage along with the shout of the kids at the orphanage yelling at them to come back in the future to play or telling them that they will join them in the next year.
Well most of them were for Dan who had a lot of friends, so Eiji didn't really have anything to do with all their yells.
Excitement was evident in Dan's face as he walked. Sister Rebecca has a smile on her face but there was also worry mixed in her expression.
Eiji was just there walking deep in his thoughts.
But the truth was that, he wasn't thinking of anything and was just walking as they didn't have anything to talk about or do.
They then arrived at the school moments later.
"Alright we will be parting ways here. Dan, Eiji! Remember to study well and do not be naughty and give problems to your teachers okay!?"
""Okay sister Rebecca!""
"And lastly, you kids can always come back at the orphanage okay?!"
"Okay! Thank sister Rebecca!"
"Hahahahha! Don't worry sister Rebecca! I'll get a lot of money give them to you in the future!"
Dan made his usual big talks which made sister Rebecca smile.
"Alright now! Good bye Dan, Eiji!"
""Good bye sister Rebecca!""
After bowing to sister Rebecca, the two of them walked towards the school as sister Rebecca looked at their backs.
After seeing that the both of them entered the school grounds, she slowly turned her and walk back to the orphanage with sadness in her eyes.
---
Dan and Eiji entered the school. There were actually a lot of students that came in the morning.
There was a line in the front, with the words hanging from the tables that said 'DORMITORY REGISTRATION'
It seems that you have to get in line and register for the dormitories.
The registration was very simple, you just tell them your name and age and then you are given the room key as well as a peice of paper.
There were no difference in all the dormitory rooms, whether you are the the top of the section or not. So there was no conflict of kids wanting good or luxurious dormitories.
Eiji asked if there was actually a special dormitories for those that get in the top of the section, but he was told the there was nothing because the truth was, the Dormitories was just there for resting, eating and for the kids to left their things on, as most of them would be doing assignments and activities.
Eiji was a bit appalled as it meant that they would be grinded from morning till night, so the Dormitories didn't have to be special or luxurious as it was only there for resting on a hard day!
Eiji looked at the peice of paper he was given there was the building and room number written in it
Eiji arrived at the building dorm.
It was a two story building. There were other similar buildings that were lined up.
He was at the 3rd building, room 7 second floor.
There were 10 such dorm buildings.
And all of them were two floors and has a hundred rooms.
With the seniors graduating, the vacant room would be given the the other freshmen so it was basically a cycle.
The room was small.
But there was a bed, a small table, a sink with a small place for cooking and a small wooden cabinet for clothes.
There was also a small room behind the sink and kitchen that can be use for a shower.
The toilet was located at the end of each floors having 20 cubicles to take a number two in.
So all in all, it was good dorm especially for kids that will be living here for 5 years.
End Of Chapter.
