After checking the dorm and arranging his things inside, he went out to check for the toilets to familiarize himself.
Then Eiji looked at the clock and saw that it was near ten in the morning so he decided to go to the classroom now.
When he arrived at the school, there was another line in a bulletin board, assigning as to where their classrooms are.
He watched and it seems like the teacher will ask you your name and they will look for it in the list and tell you your class section and where it is.
Eiji then lined up into one and waited.
When it was Eiji's turn the teacher asked him his name.
" Name?"
"Uhhm... Noya Eiji!"
"H...N...N..Noyaaa...hmmm..."
Eiji waited as the teacher looked for his name in the papers.
" Oh?! Here it is Noya Eiji 3 rd section Classroom number xx. The classrooms are the next hallway from here at the left okay! The third to last room is your room from there!"
"Okay! Thank you sir!"
After thanking the teacher, Eiji walked insed the school and looked at the hallways.
There were a lot of kids in the hallway. Some were seniors looking for the new kids. Some are the new kids looking and asking other kids on exploring the school.
Eiji walked in to the hall and then turned left as he looked for his classroom.
When he arrived at the third to the last room he looked at the sign above the door.
Eiji can read a bit, as sister Rebecca would teach them sometimes, but he wasn't proficient in reading yet. But he knew numbers 1 to 5, so he knew that he was at the right room.
When he entered the room there were already kids in there laughing and playing with the others.
When he entered, there were a lot of eyes that watched him, but since he just look like a small and timid kid, no one bothered with him.
Eiji looked for a seat at the front as there weren't a lot of children in there and then he just waited.
He looked around and it seems like Dan wasn't in this class, there was no one that he knew so he just stayed out and looked at the others at the corners of his eyes.
There were more kids that came a few minutes later, and some of them just straight out ran inside the class then another roudiness insued.
*RIIIINNNGGG!!!!!
Then suddenly a ring was heard which silenced everyone, then a teacher came in the classroom.
"Hhmm.... Everyone settle down and let's start the day!"
After saying so, the teacher walked into his desk and the children obediently sat down.
No one wants to get expelled from the school, and the number one policy of becoming a swordsman is their loyalty and obedience.
So if they were to make the teachers angry they could kiss their dreams of becoming a swordsman, good bye.
"Now good morning! My name is Takazawa Mori! You all can call me Sir Muri!"
Takazawa Muri wore a baggy nagagi clothe, along with a robe hanging from his shoulders.
He had a bored look on his face and just said things apathetically. With the Katana in his left side, he just sat in the teachers seat and loooked at them straight as he talked.
"Well for now, just introduce yourselves and what your dreams are after becoming a swordsman. Start!"
"Me! Me!..."
The kid that ran from the classroom raised his hands hastily.
"Okay!okay! You!"
"I'm Renji Barto! And I want to be a super strong SAAGGEE like the Excalibur sage!"
"Ehh?? The Excalibur Kingdom's sage? Not the sage of our kingdom?"
"Eh?! Is he stronger that him?!"
"Ah...well..no?!"
"Ehhh...then I want to become as strong as that sage from Excalibur!!!"
Teacher Muri was a bit speechless at his words.
The war made a lot of villains and heroes, but the one that stood out the most was the new king and sage of Excalibur.
He just one handedly stopped everything!
Now even the kids that lived in other kingdoms are idolizing another king and sage, so it was a bad image for their kings, but for teacher Muri, he didn't really care about that so the introduction continued.
"I-Im Lime...Z.. Zenith...and I...I want to be... A strong swordsme... swords woman!"
Lime Zenith was shyly introducing herself while looking down.
Everyone just satred at her and then she sat right back down and nearly buried herself down the table!
Only teacher Muri had a curious look on his face.
'hmm? It's her huh?'
But he didn't say anything and just continued to listen to the other kids.
The kids introduced themselves one after another. Most of them have dreams like becoming s strong sage like the sage of the Excalibur Kingdom or become a successful swordsman or something along the lines.
Then it was time for Eiji's turn.
"I'm..Noya Eiji.....I ..... don't..kno-....uh. I also want to.... become strong like the Excalibur Kingdom's.... sage!"
At first he wanted to say that he didn't know what he wanted to be in the future, but when he saw the questioning look on his classmate's faces he just winged it and said what everybody said before.
Muri saw it and just shook and head.
He knew what exactly Eiji wanted to say, but he knew that there's still a lot of time to for him decide.
He just needs to learn the basics now and see what he wants to be in the future based on what hes good at.
Eiji sat down and looked down at his seat.
The other kids continued on.
There weren't any big names like the Hanzo and other clans in the room, or maybe there was, but nobody knew.
Mostly those kids are in the 2nd or 1st sections.
Those kids have solid foundations and has a lot of resources and they are always labeled as genius this or genius that.
Only a small amount of civilian are in the 2nd and 1st sections and those civilian kids are the genius among geniuses.
They don't have the resources and the knowledge from predecessors yet they outshined those that have what they don't.
" Alright! Seems like everyone wants to become strong huh?! Well the first step is to..Listen!
Today would be just a quick glance at what we would be doing in the future!
First up! In this first year, what we would be focusing, is your ability to read and write as well as arithmetics!
You would be taught history and ethics as well! Then there is the physical education!"
"Ehh?! Sir we aren't taught swordsmanship?!!"
One kid suddenly shouted, although everyone has the same curious look on their faces.
"No! That will be on your second year! Why? Do know how to read and write already?!"
"Uhh...a little bit?!"
"Do you know how to calculate up to tens, hundreds and thousands?"
"No...."
"Do you know the history and how to act properly in certain occasions, areas and important people?!"
"...No.."
"Hmmm... Then wait patiently! The school has stood for hundreds of years, we have already created the educational system that optimizes what you need to learn efficiently!
One trait of a swordsmen should have is to not question your superior!
And here I, and all the teachers are your superiors! Understand?!"
""Yes sir!!!""
"Good!
Now, I will tell you about the policies and other things you should know here!
Well just like what I told you, don't question your superiors, don't be late, don't fight with others or you'll get punished if you are caught, as for absence, well as long as it is a valid reason, why not...
Now for the dormitories, for those that applied for the dormitory and an orphan at the same time.
You will be given a subsidies every month! As well as rations!"
"Waaohh?! Really?! "
"Yaayy!"
"Now don't get too happy, the subsidies will only be a thousand gins per month so you have to save it up or only buy essential things okay?! Don't wantonly buy everything you see! You wont be given again till the next month! Understand?!"
""Yes sir!""
"Hmm! The subsidies will be given at the first room at the first floor on every dorm buildings so go there and take them!
Now any questions?!"
"...."
"..."
"None?! Good! Tomorrow we will start the lessons! Now dismiss!"
After that, Muri walked out the classroom.
Then the children clamored about.
They were unhappy that they still can't be taught swordsmanship, while others didn't care and wanted to explore the school.
Eiji went back to the dorm. He wants to secure the Gins and Rations first, so that he won't get hungry and buy some things for himself.
End Of Chapter.
