There was nothing... nothing in sight to see, feel, hear, nothing but cold and.....Darkness. Something i was too familiar with, as i tried to move my body in order to find out where i was, the realization hit me like a rock.... or was it an actual rock? I couldn't tell. But it gave me flashes of my memory back, memory that i had almost forgotten about entirely! The flashes showed me bits and pieces of what i had just done.... and why i was stranded here.... here in the middle of actual nowhere.
Images of me as a four-armed demonic looking being, It looked like something out of a JJK Manga, but at the same time looking much more blood thirsted.
I still couldn't remember how i had gotten there or how i had achieved such a state but there was one thing i was absolutely sure of... and it was that I had just erased an entire world from existence.
Well, i don't know what i will do now... but, I believe it all started that day....It was a Monday morning, and i was running late to my recently acquired Job.
It was all just a stroke of luck to be completely honest, i had just gotten my degree in animation and was wandering aimlessly in JAPAN, i was there to look for a career starter opportunity, and when i got there i learned the hard way about how lucky and privileged my education had been so far, while also being incomplete... and so i was wandering the streets looking for a job to get me started when i happened upon a CAFÉ.
Where i also happen to meet my "about-to-be" best-friend.Â
His expression was neutral, nothing to read on his face or through his body language, but the moment your eye's meet his you can tell this persons going to do their best to keep you safe and close. And that was what drew me towards his table, as i sat down his eye's followed me intently as if reading into me and trying to figure out my next move like it's some fun game, i didn't mind though... well maybe because i was also doing the same to him.
By the time i heard the first word's he said to me my mind and eye's had already traveled far beyond just his eyes, tracking his body's curves and bends with his outfit sticking to his skin making me gulp at least once.
When he said, "How are you?" that's when i snapped out of my trans and finally started to notice, what was actually happening.
And what actually was happening was; That he was amused to see my reaction and was enjoying the show... as if i was on display!Â
My expressions were a complete mess... and what he saw apparently he liked! Then we talked and talked and talked for hours... to no end it was as if something had just clicked between us, and that was the day we became friends, there were times when we tried to be more but in the end one of would pull back, and keep it pure! And that was how we kept each other from multiple break-ups and downs...Â
Through him i was able to complete my Masters in animation and design.... and we landed our first jobs in the same company all the way over in London, England. And so when our first day at work rolled around i was running late, cause of obvious late night partying, carrying two cups of caramel lattes in my hand talking to Abe on a call through my ear piece trying to convince him that I'm just around the corner!
[Friend]
"Come on man! How long does a simple coffee run take? you're taking forever to get here!"
[I/ME]
"Dude... you're forgetting the coffee runners hangover, in this equation of yours! and chill I'm basically in front of you now"
As he sees me in the crowd walking down the road towards him, his expression changes from anger to a silly little giggling smile, as if he'd just seen a toddler running down the road.
Within half a minute I'm standing in front of him handing him his coffee... and we walk in for our first day to work!...
Everything is going smoothly we're introduced to our respective sectors and teams and then we both went our separate ways for the day, By the time i noticed my surrounding's it was already lunch time, i checked my phone and texted Abe to grab a seat for me if he's already at the cafeteria.
But there was no reply, i just ignored it and walked on... towards the cafeteria got into the line and grabbed a tray-full of mac & cheese, with an apple soda.
The cafeteria was at the ground floor, the front side of the building was made of tall glass windows for a natural light inlet, while also giving us a plush view of the outside busy streets... with ample light from the sun, and the soft golden lamps lighting up the remaining dark areas making the cafeteria the best spot for Instagram photos and blogs, giving it the feeling of a high class New York Starbucks... after seeing all this, I was about to float onto the next cloud but the chatter from other employees woke me up.
And just when i was about to sit down and take out my phone, i hear a piercing scream of a woman by one of the windows. I flipped my head to see what was going and just in the moment, a loud BOOM! shattered all the windows in the room, causing a mass panic, luckily i had closed my eyes and ducked, so i was only scraped. When my vision cleared... that is when i knew why the woman was screaming, a large whip like line of fire and some dark liquid like substance was about to crash into the cafeteria. I had to think fast.Â
'if i tried to run I'd be screwed, so the best option was to get under the table'
And before i could fully process that thought, i was already under the table curling up like a baby... A moment of silence fell over the entire area just for a split second i thought, that whatever it was it's gone now, and was about to try and look at it when a searing pain in my back started to hit me like a truck! The pain so intense as if my entire back was on fire and was being eaten away at the same time to make way for the fire to get deeper in.Â
The pain was too much for me to handle, so my brain did the best it could and shut itself down... *3 hours later*" What's their condition? are they movable or do we have to bring the team here?"Â
Asked a deep and stern voice of a rugged man in his 50's his face serious, on a glowing display in the dark.
"I don't know, I haven't even examined them yet, give me some time. You'll have the report in 30 minutes."
said a soft and gentle looking girl wearing a lab coat looking as if just a teenager but was in her 20's, chestnut hair and hazel eyes... almost looking like Megan Fox in low light. If Megan fox had chestnut hair and hazel eyes.
Fast and gracefully she moved through the debris, checking the victims for vitals and danger signs, behind her, her assistant completing the check with a band of emergency dispatch of medical professionals guiding them to every patient letting them know which one was in urgent need of care and vise versa.Lastly the young girl stopped in front of a person crawled-up under a table, she sits down to examine him, but as she does, she comes to notice the deep wound on his back, in an attempt to check his vitals she tried to flip him over but couldn't move him an inch. So she took out her pager and called for the assistant.
"Helen, come over here there's a patient here but i can't move him for some reason"
[Helen]
"Sure Ren, I'll be right there "
When Helen got there the sheer look of this victim was enough to make her take a step back, this person was nearly chard and the main wound that was open was so deep you could see the spine itself.
This whole day had been very unnerving but Helen had gotten though it by steeling herself, but this scene was something she couldn't bare.
This scene was gruesome enough for a veteran medical practitioner to throw-up.[BLEH--!]
"I--I--I can't even look at him! This--This is too much carnage..."
Helen said trying to steel her nerves and talk with a straight face, while avoiding the victims body...
Just then it moves...not much but an inch, but enough for it to kick start Helen's inner medical professional.
"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING!? STOP GAWKING AND START MOVING"
"This persons not gonna save himself! Start with cleaning and covering his wounds with alcohol and clean bandages for now and prep them to be moved to the facility pronto!"
With these commands the entire team jumped and got back to lightning fast movements of cleaning, covering and preparing to move the body to a new facility, all the while Dr. Ren was taking notes on the victims condition and his vitals on her tablet....After sweeping the entire building the paramedics left the area in military and local authority's care, and took all the serious patients to the 'Facility' .
This is where the UNO had decided to treat the patients and take care of the deceased as well, since the dead were the most exposed to the incident their bodies were highly radio active and couldn't be handled with normal means, hence the disposal was done at the 'facility'Â .
