"What!!" Myle shouted, his voice carrying disbelief.
If what he said was true then he had severely underestimated the difficulty of this quest!! After all how could he as a grade: E fighter even think about passing when even a Grade- A fighter failed?
For a moment, Myles thought about doing the mission after he became a bit stronger. But he quickly shook his head.
"I need to complete this mission as quickly as possible" Myles thought to himself.
After all, what was the guarantee that no one would complete the mission before him? Hence, gaining the heritage of the Absolute Sword Monarch.
"What about the terrain of the place?" Myles asked, his voice carrying seriousness.
"The terrain is similar to a normal forest but a fog covers the entire forest. As you get deeper into the forest, this fog gets thicker.
According to reliable sources, this fog might be the reason for the death of my fighters!" The man exclaimed his voice carrying seriousness.
Upon hearing this, Myles looked very intrigued about this so-called fog.
"How so?" Myles asked
"The fog causes people to dream about certain parts of their lives. What makes the fog even interesting is that even if a thousand years pass in a dream only a few minutes pass in the real world at most.
After a few minutes of dreaming about certain parts of their life, they die and fall
lifeless to the ground!" The man exclaimed his voice carrying seriousness.
Myles widened his eyes in disbelief upon hearing this. Since the power of the fog can easily cause him to die.
All of a sudden a realization dawned upon Myles.
"Maybe the fog is a method of protecting the heritage from his enemies or the unqualified people" Myles thought to himself as he fell into a deep thought.
As he gave it a thought, the more he thought that his guess made sense. After all, how can a powerful figure leave his heritage unguarded?
He inwardly hoped that fog wouldn't do anything to him since he was a candidate to inherit his heritage.
"The chances of this happening is very low" Myles thought to himself.
Since what if the Absolute Sword Monarch has intentionally set all this up to test his Successor. It was the best to prepare for the worst.
"Have you decided not to go to the devil's forest?" The man asked after seeing Myles fall into deep thought.
However Myles shook his head upon hearing this.
"No, continue telling what you know. What about the beast residing in the first" Myles remarked.
"I don't have any idea about the number of beasts inside the devil's forest" The man said.
"Why is that?" Myles asked.
"Well, there are two simple reasons for this. First, the fog should probably kill all the beasts but who knows if their body had adapted to the fog through an unknown means.
Secondly, it's due to a lack of reliable sources." The man replied, afterwards he fell silent.
An awkward silence descended around them as the man fell silent.
"Do you want anything more?" Myles asked, breaking the awkward silence.
"This is all I know, as for how to enter the devil's forest. You can enter through a cave." The man exclaimed.
"Give me the location of the cave" Myles demanded.
The man nodded and took out a large map. He opened the map and marked a certain location with a marker.
He folded the map and handed it over to Myles.
"Go to the marked location on the map of the western forest. You will find a small entrance to the cave.
Keep walking in a straight line to reach your destination" The man said while handing the map to Myles.
Myles wordlessly took the map from his hand and opened it up. It appeared that the entrance of the cave was located near the center of the western forest of Eldoria Kingdom.
"It's going to take a while to travel there" Myles thought to himself.
He folded up the map and kept it in his inventory.
"Our deal has been completed, I will be taking my leave" The man remarked.
"Remember if the Intel is false, I will come back for a refund" Myles said, his voice carrying seriousness.
As if he didn't exist in the first place, the man walked away completely ignoring his words.
Though, Myles was a bit upset with his attitude. He quickly shook his head.
"Let's begin my journey towards the devil's forest" Myles thought to himself.
He quickly marched towards the exit of the auction house. He exited the auction house a few minutes later.
However, he remembered something important after stepping outside.
"I need to buy some potions," Myles muttered under his breath.
He was possibly going on a very dangerous mission. So getting some Healing Potions and Mana recovery potion was a must.
"Hmm, I won't get potions from the auction house. Let's look for some shops selling potions at an affordable price" Myles muttered under his breath.
With that being said, Myles began his search for potions at an affordable price. He roams around the streets to look for affordable potions.
He did find some shops selling them but all of them were too expensive or very low quality potion not worth their price.
He looked for a few more minutes until finally stumbling upon a shop selling decent potions at an affordable price.
He bought around 6 Healing Potions and 3 mana recovery potions at a total price of 1000 universal coins. It was quite costly but now he had 10 healing potions and 5 mana recovery potions.
"It's so difficult to earn money but spending it is as easy as drinking water!!" Myles exclaimed after buying the potions.
He only had 500 universal coins. In a matter of a few hours, he had gone from being rich to broke!
"It's no use thinking about all this, let's just head towards the devil's forest" Myles thought to himself.
He began to walk towards the western part of the kingdom, intending to enter the western forest.
But he wasn't willing to cover all the distance by foot. Since he was in the eastern part of the kingdom, it was going to take forever to reach his destination!!
Even the Lowest Ranking kingdom had a lot of territory. Hence, he wasn't naive enough to believe he could cover the distance by foot!
"I should look for a horse vehicle to reach my destination" Myles thought to himself.
Horses' vehicles were those where the passenger seat was pulled by horses.
Thankfully, he didn't have to wait for long since just half an hour later, he spotted what he was looking for.
Just a few meters away from him, a line of horse vehicles rested on the road. He didn't waste any time and made his way there.
"I want to travel to the western gate of Eldoria Kingdom. Can you give me a ride?" Myles humbly asked when he got close enough to a driver.
"The western gate of the kingdom is very far away from here. If you wanna ride then I can give you one but it will be very expensive," The driver replied.
"How much? Also how long will it take to reach our destination?" Myles nervously asked.
"300 universal coins and it should roughly take 2 days to reach our destination." The driver replied.
It was very expensive for him recently! He wasn't willing to pay so much money but he also needed the service. So he entered into intense negotiations. In the end, he managed to lower the price to 200 universal coins.
"Enter, pay me after we have reached the western gate" The driver as he hopped on the vehicle.
Myles nodded and also entered. Just a second later, the vehicle started moving signaling the start of his journey.
