Myles became shocked when he felt the powerful energy being emitted from his sword. The aura seemed to be sharp enough to slash the heavens in two!
His sword was covered in aura from top to bottom. The aura had taken the shape of the blade, giving him the impression that his sword was wearing armor.
Even the old man looked very impressed which was a good sign!
Notifications were also flashing in his retina which he didn't understand what they meant.

Just a second later, a voice echoed through his ears carrying a profound sense of authority.

Myles nodded and tried his best to maintain the aura for as long as possible. However, the moment Myles diverted his attention from the sword. The aura soon started to lose its properties which makes them very unique and domineering
He saw the old man walking towards him.
"Maybe this will be enough to prove myself worthy of receiving those rewards," Myles thought to himself.
When the old man got close enough, he put one of his hands on his back. A powerful yet calming aura started to enter his body from the old man's arm. It gave him a profound sense of calmness and it helped him clear his mind.
Hence allowing Myles to focus on maintaining the aura. It helped slow down the leaking sword energy but it didn't completely stop it.
"It's not possible to maintain it for long," Myles thought to himself.
He kept trying to maintain the aura regardless of his effort. He couldn't succeed. A few minutes later, a voice echoed through his ears.
"As expected, it's far too early," The old man remarked as he stood up
The moment the old man stopped supplying the calming aura. The leaking of the sword's energy increased tremendously.
"Oh no," Myles mumbled.
He tried his best to stop the sword energy from dissipating but he failed despite his efforts. The sword energy had dissipated within a minute after the old man stopped supporting him!

Myles, wordlessly, kept staring at the notification flashing in his retina. He was very hurt by his loss.
It's because the chance of himself proving himself worthy was very low now! If he couldn't prove himself worthy then his journey here would be rendered completely worthless!
His worries didn't last for long since a voice resounded through his ears shortly after.
"I am very impressed by the fact that you manage to manifest forced sword energy" The old man grinned.
"What's so special about forced sword energy, sir?" Myles asked.
When he heard the unfamiliar term "sword energy," he noticed that both "sword energy" and "forced sword energy" were mentioned in the notification. However, he didn't know their meanings.
"Sword energy is a fundamental skill for swordsmen, typically learned upon reaching grade D.
However, forced sword energy can be manifested by exceptionally talented swordsmen below grade D.
Sword energy has countless applications, but the most common use is to tremendously increase the sharpness of your sword." The old man explained.
"Those who have manifested forced sword energy will eventually gain sword energy" The old man replied.
Myles nodded his head in understanding. He became a bit hopeful when the old man said that those who possess forced sword energy are talented. Maybe it's enough to prove his worth?
In the end, he decided to directly ask the old man.
"Sir, I don't mean to be rude, but have I proven myself worthy?" Myles asked, his voice carrying seriousness.
"Achieving forced sword energy in itself makes you worthy. You have passed the test" The old man exclaimed with a smile.
Happiness and eagerness were visible on Myles's face. However, he restrained himself and asked.
"What is my reward?" Myles asked, his voice carrying excitement.
"The heritage of the Absolute Sword Monarch," The old man said while grinning.
Upon hearing the foreign word Absolute Sword Monarch. A big frown appeared on his forehead since he hadn't even heard about this name once!
Though, he will say that the name of this person was very cool.
Seeing the frown on Myles' forehead, the old man knew that he needed to explain the identity of the person.
"The absolute sword monarch was a very powerful individual when he was in his prime. He was on the verge of reaching the legendary realm of a Sword Saint.
The strongest class.
However, just as he is about to make a breakthrough into the legendary realm of a sword saint. He was killed by his enemies, hence dying as a sword emperor," The old man said; sadness was visible in his voice.
"Is a sword saint strong?" Myles asked, his voice carrying doubt.
The old man widened his eyes in disbelief upon hearing this. He looked at Myles like he was some sort of idiot.
"Of course, you idiot sword saint, stand at the pinnacle of swordsmanship. I am surprised by the fact that you don't know.
It's so hard to break through to that legendary realm that the current no. of sword saints who currently exist can be counted on hand!!" The old man exclaimed, his voice carrying disbelief.
Myles widened his eyes in disbelief when he heard that, especially the number of current sword saints. Just the number of current Sword Saints present in this world proved the difficulty of reaching this realm!!!
It meant that the Absolute Sword Monarch was an existence that was just a few steps away from reaching the pinnacle.!
If the absolute sword monarch was alive, then the chances were he would be an end-game boss.
