Chapter 32 - Back in the Game

The atmosphere in the arena shifted from jubilant anticipation to tense concern as the medical team attended to Jeremy, who lay on the court. Jamar watched with his heart in his throat, seeing the blood from Jeremy's forehead staining the court. The loud cheers from moments ago had turned into hushed whispers, the crowd anxiously awaiting news of his condition.

As Jeremy was carefully placed on a stretcher, Jamar and Assistant Coach Flynn stayed close by his side. Jamar's mind raced with concern, recalling the forceful collision with Terrence's knee that had caused Jeremy to collapse. It was the kind of moment every athlete dreads, where the outcome of a split-second play shifts from triumph to tragedy.

"The bleeding has been stopped," one of the paramedics assured them, but Jamar could still see the tension in her eyes. "We need to do an MRI to ensure there are no further injuries. Head injuries require special care."
