The boat was taken over by silence again. Neither of the duo spoke for a while as a rather dark atmosphere loomed over them.

"No, there is none. This is, after all, a battle of the best, if they have to take care of every single person who tries their chance, the Academy won't have time to focus on what's important. So, those who never actually make it aren't really that important to them. Once you get admitted, however, you're then integrated into the Academy system which means you're also protected under their laws which apply in almost every other part of the world."
Victor's eyes turned colder as he listened to Nameless. 'This is sly… Really sly.' He thought to himself. 'I don't know if this is the case or not, but I think they're doing this not because they cannot really spare protection for these people.'
