Alora headed back to the mansion to her room to change into fresh clothes and then sleep.
"Alora, are you fine?" Nelly, her only friend in the Coven, asked with worried eyes before invading her room.
"Still breathing. What would happen to me?" Alora smirked before lying on her bed. Nelly rolled her eyes, accompanying her on the bed, silently.
"I heard Dad talking to your father in the meeting hall. They were preparing for a big mission. I heard them sending you somewhere to execute their mission." She disclosed to Alora everything she heard.
Alora closed her eyes, not giving it a thought. They had been using her for every little task. From creating vampires to sending her as a spy to other domains. Nothing was new to her. And she never disappointed them till now.
"I know my father, Nelly. it's my job, nothing new!"
"What kind of father is he? Can't he spare his daughter for a day? Sometimes I think you are not his biological daughter!" Nelly grudgingly let out. Though her father was not different but she never liked their Sire and seeing him punishing his own daughter in the name of training or disciplining her was something beyond Nelly's understanding.
"Alora, this mission includes the enemies, The Lycans!" She said calculating her friend's reaction. Now it grabbed Alora's attention. The fire of vengeance burst its flames inside her once again. She fisted her hands as a fury danced through her body when she heard the word, Lycans.
"What about them!" Alora asked calmly. She would do anything to destroy these Lycans to get her revenge.
"The Lycans are already after witches and have almost wiped out every powerful witch for the last few decades. There are only a few left hiding from their approach. I'm worried about you. How can your father push you into the gates of hell knowing this?" Nelly sighed, disbelieving the fact as to why her father was pushing his only daughter to the enemies for his own benefit.
Yes, Alora was a witch besides being a pure-blood vampire, all thanks to her witch-deceased mother.
"Isn't it for what I was born, Nelly? I am the weapon, I Am the heir and I Am the descendant of their clan to carry over every mission." Alora said indifferently.
Nelly looked at Alora's face and sighed knowing very well that it wouldn't affect it. Her friend had learned the art of masking her emotions and feelings to the extent that she doesn't feel them anymore. She was the caged princess behind Arnold's shadow.
Nelly held her hand for support. "I just hope I could help you in some way, Alora. Please take care of yourself."
Alora nodded even though she didn't want to get entangled in the evergreen fight between the Vampires and the Lycans. But Alora knew her fate was sealed.
.
.
"Sire is talking with Mr. Eldorio, Princess. They are waiting for you." The Maid bowed, informing Alora outside the entrance of his wing. Eldorio was Nelly's father. Her father's best friend and partner in crime.
As Alora kept walking further, Cassius came out of her father's office. His face held utter annoyance and fury but instantly his features changed as he spotted Alora in front of him. Unbothered, She walked slowly towards the door ignoring him but he grabbed her hand and pulled her. "You won't agree to their demands, Alora? Whatever they say. I won't let you go to hell!" He hissed in her ear.
Alora almost rolled her eyes. He won't let her go to that hell but wants her into his personal hell. On either side, she was stuck with the bastards.
"Really? Why can't you order me like this in front of our Sire, Cassius?" Alora asked calmly, looking into his eyes. He gritted his jaws in anger. He knew if he went against their Sire he would have a good aversion.
"You are too eager to die, ain't you? Being the Sire's minion won't take you anywhere, Alora. You are intelligent to think about yourself. The lycans will kill you on the first sight. Be my Queen and let us rule this world together." His eyes were shining in utter slyness. He was a greedy and sneaky bastard just like Arnold.
"Sure! Let me listen to them first then we'll talk about our future." She simply spoke and snatched her hand from his grip before heading over to the office door.
"I will not let you get off the hook, Alora! Never!" Cassius gritted determined, before walking away.
Arnold and Eldorio were immersed in their conversation when Alora entered the office. She greeted them with respect and took her seat on her father's gesture.
"Alora, it's been four years you have surpassed the age of a fledgling. You are a strong, trained vampire now. And it's time to utilize your hybrid powers for the safeguard of our clan. It's time to show your loyalty towards the black bridge Coven and the entire community. So we are going to set a mission for you which only you could fulfill." Eldorio stated.
Alora looked at both of the men and nodded monotonously to get further explanation.
"For the past few years, we have been working hard to execute our plan against the enemy. But the Lycans of the Snow Spell Dynasty are too powerful to get baited by anything." Arnold started as his sharp blue eyes perfectly matched his venomous features.
Alora was sure her father had another malicious plan which included her. He never wavered in throwing his daughter into danger.
"But I have you, my daughter. You are not any ordinary vampire but a hybrid. A powerful witch. You are one in the millions, Alora. You will contrive and carry out this mission. And for that you have to go to the Snow Spell Dynasty."
Alora almost flinched hearing his words but she managed to maintain her composure. Her father was pushing her to the lion's den this time without any concern.
"Your identity is non-existent in the world, Alora. There was never any princess of the Black Bridge Coven for the supernatural world. That's why I chose you for the mission." Arnold let out proudly as if he was asking her to participate in the dance competition.
"I understand. What is the plan?" Alora asked calmly. She knew one way or another she had to accomplish this task.
"Your main duty is to approach the Prince. Prince Erix Hartshorn who is still mateless." Eldorio said, grabbing her attention.
"Prince Erix is the pure Lycan from the Lycan bloodline and the heir of the Snow spell Dynasty. He is the last Lycan on the earth after his father and other elders. But his existence is mysterious to the world as he is hardly seen around his kingdom. Anyways, he hasn't met his mate yet but we can create one for him right?"
Alora's brows pulled together at his ridiculous idea. What in the world they had even been planning?
"You have to meet him and make him fall for you, Alora. Get his essence and create the scent of his fated mate so he can misperceive you as his fated. You can do that with your spell. In that way we can control him under our clutches." Alora turned her gaze to her father who nodded in affirmation, agreeing with his friend.
Alora stared at his father in wonder, the hunger of the reign was visible in his eyes.
"But how would I go there? The historic powerful kingdom might be protected from unknown invasion and that too by their enemies, The vampires and witches." Alora said. Arnold shared a look with Eldorio who nodded.
"That's why we need the support of someone who is equally powerful to them, whose essence is unrecognizable and who could help you to reach the necks of the Lycans." Eldorio said.
"Who is that someone?" Alora asked and Eldorio smirked viciously when a name slipped out of his mouth.
"The 'crimson shadow'!"
Alora's ears perked at this. Crimson Shadow' whose greatness she had heard only from the elders in her school.
The Moon Guardian!
"He was arranged by the moon goddess to safeguard the Silent storm gates in Lavender Sky. He is accessible to all the realms of gods and goddesses. He is a neutral guard who works for the safety, protection and maintenance of the peace between all of us."
Alora frowned at him. The guard would help her! Seriously? Now she had to lure that guard?
"Alora, he will help you track the Lycan Prince. I am sure that the guard might be knowing the Lycan prince. After all, the prince is the grandson of the Moon goddess." Eldorio informed her, making her surprised.
"To finish every single element of the Lycan's existence, we need to dig its deep nerve and that's the Prince. He is the last lycan who will generate the next Lycan lineage and we can't let this happen. You have to take him under your control and you can do that with the help of a moon guardian."
"And what if the moon guardian denies?" Arnold asked his friend, finally reconsidering their plan.
"Convincing the Prince is easy but convincing the Moon guardian would be damn difficult. That's why our main target is the Crimson Shadow here through whose shoulders we can shoot. And there is only one thing with which you can lure him."
"And what is that?" Arnold raised his brows in a knowing manner.
"The magical half-golden dagger!" Eldorio nodded.
