Emma's eyes widened, and a smile spread across her face. She could hardly believe it. She had applied for the position with hope but hadn't expected such a quick and positive response.
Sitting up in bed, she reread the email to make sure she wasn't dreaming. The reality of it began to sink in—she had a new job at one of the top marketing companies in the city. The excitement surged through her, pushing away the remnants of her earlier sadness.
She quickly forwarded the email to Ana, adding a message:
Subject: I GOT THE JOB!!
Ana,
Guess what? I got the job at XX Marketing!! I can't believe it! We have to celebrate when you get home.
Ana rushed through the door, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She barely had time to remove her apron before she enveloped Emma in a tight hug.
"Oh my God, Emma! You did it!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine happiness.
Emma laughed, returning the embrace. "I know! I still can't believe it. This is exactly what I needed right now."
Ana pulled back, her grin wide. "We have to celebrate! How about we go out for a drink? My treat."
"That sounds perfect," Emma replied, feeling the thrill of her new job offer mingling with the warmth of her friend's excitement.
They quickly changed into their favorite going-out outfits. Emma chose a chic yet comfortable dress that made her feel confident, while Ana opted for a playful, stylish top and jeans. They headed out to their favorite bar, a cozy spot known for its vibrant atmosphere and excellent cocktails.
The bar was bustling with the Saturday night crowd, but they managed to find a small table near the back. The familiar hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses filled the air, creating a lively backdrop for their celebration.
"To new beginnings!" Ana declared, raising her glass of mojito.
Emma clinked her glass of wine against Ana's. "To new beginnings!"
They took a sip and settled into their seats, the weight of the day's events finally beginning to lift. Emma felt a sense of relief and joy that she hadn't experienced in a long time.
"So, tell me everything," Ana said, leaning forward eagerly. "What's the job like? When do you start?"
Emma smiled, feeling a rush of excitement as she recounted the details. "I'll be working as a Marketing Associate. The team seems amazing, and the projects they have lined up are so innovative. I start next Monday, and I already have some onboarding materials to go through."
Ana nodded enthusiastically. "This is going to be incredible for you, Emma. I knew you'd land something amazing. They're lucky to have you."
Thank you so much Ana,i couldn't have done it without you, Emma said.
Nonsense,it was all you babe, but am really happy to be able to celebrate with you, Ana said.
Emma and Ana headed home from their night out, the excitement and celebration still buzzing in the air. Once back at their apartment, they quickly changed into their pajamas and went to bed, both tired but happy.
Emma woke up early the next morning, a strange mix of anxiety and excitement churning in her stomach. She blinked at the sunlight streaming through her window and stretched, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. As her mind cleared, she suddenly remembered: today was Sunday, and tomorrow was her first day at XX Marketing.
Her eyes widened in realization. "I don't have an outfit for my first day," she thought, panic setting in. "I can't mess this up."
She jumped out of bed and hurried to her closet, rifling through her clothes. Her hands moved quickly, sorting through dresses, blouses, and skirts, but nothing seemed right. She needed something that was professional but also made her feel confident and put-together.
Ana, woken by the commotion, appeared at Emma's door, rubbing her eyes. "What's going on, Em? Why are you up so early?"
Emma turned to her friend, a look of desperation on her face. "I just realized I don't have anything to wear for my first day at work tomorrow. I need to make a good impression, and I can't do that if I show up looking unprepared."
Ana stepped into the room, taking in the scene. "Okay, first of all, breathe. We'll figure this out. Let's see what you have."
The two of them began to sift through Emma's wardrobe more carefully. Ana pulled out a few options, holding them up for Emma's approval. "What about this blouse with these trousers? Or this dress with a blazer?"
Emma frowned, considering each option. "They're okay, but I don't feel confident in them. I want something that makes me feel powerful, like I belong there."
Ana nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, then we need to go shopping. The mall opens in an hour. We'll find you the perfect outfit."
Emma sighed in relief. "Thank you, Ana. I don't know what I'd do without you."
An hour later, they were at the mall, diving into various stores in search of the ideal ensemble. Emma tried on numerous outfits, modeling each one for Ana's critical eye. After what felt like an endless search, she finally found it: a tailored navy blue dress that flattered her figure, paired with a smart blazer and elegant heels. The outfit was professional yet stylish, and most importantly, it made Emma feel confident and ready to take on her new role.
As they left the mall, Emma couldn't stop smiling. "This is perfect. Thank you so much, Ana."
Ana grinned back. "Anything for you. Now you're going to rock your first day at XX Marketing."
Back at the apartment, Emma carefully hung her new outfit in her closet, ready for the morning.
To be honest before graduation She never saw herself here,She had planned her life with Jake, they were going to get married and start a business together.
A part of her felt glad it didn't happen and She could experiment with her adult life,She was still young and had other chances at love.
