The world had gone mad. The streets were a battleground, the sky a deep, foreboding grey. I fought with every ounce of strength I had, my sword slicing through the horde of undead, but there were too many. My comrades, my friends, had fallen one by one, until I was the only one left standing.
I parried a zombie's blow, but another one struck me from behind. I fell, my vision blurring. The last thing I saw was the horde closing in, their jaws open wide.
But then, everything went white.
I jolted awake in a familiar room. I was confused to find myself in my own room and when I opened my phone, I saw the date I was shocked
Today was April 14, 2020, The day before the Apocalypse.
I had been given a second chance. But why? And how?
"Now is not the time for these kinds of questions. In my previous life, I was too late to awaken and lost many friends, comrades and even my brother, who was my only family. But this time, with my knowledge of the future, I will save them and overcome this Apocalypse"
Min-su Kim took a book and paper to write down a few tasks and important points about the future and his current goal: to survive the first two weeks.
His main goal is to stockpile food, aid supplies, and melee weapons.
"I have saved around 1,350,000 won. Which was intended for my Brother's education but I never got to use it in my previous life. So I will use this to buy all the essentials. And I think I should apply for a loan since, after the apocalypse, no one will ask me to return the money"
After sorting everything out, he called a private loan shark to secure a loan of 2 million won.
After this he went for the nearby supermarket and bought necessary foods and water jugs to sustain him for three months.
The food and water cost him around 700,000 won.
After this he went to buy different first aid supplies which cost him 80,000 won
And in the end he went to a hardware shop to buy a hammer, few nails, some wooden planks and bought some kitchen knives from a local market. Which cost him around 11,000 won
After returning to his room with everything he has bought he left for a black market to buy more weapons. He bought two machete and a katana which cost him 1,600,000 won.
After this he is left with around a million won. He used this to buy few fuel tanks and two Bullet proof vest and now he has only few thousand won left. With this he returned to his room.
He lives inside a 2bhk flat in Haneul Towers, apartment number 604, Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
He is living with his brother which is his only family members. His brother age is 18. Now he is at school.
Min-su Kim started to sort all the things he has bought and started to put everything in its place half of his kitchen is full of water jugs but it's still not enough he has to the put the remaining ones in the hall room.
After this he started to work out to gain a fast and strong body.
Soon time passed and now it's evening.
"I'm home"
"Oh, Min-ho you are back. Go wash up"
"Huh? What's going on? why are you working out?"
Then his eyes fell on the water jugs.
"Why are there so many water jugs? are you starting a water jug delivery business"
"No! We'll be using them"
"What! Do you know how long it'll take to consume all these? Why did you waste so much money on water jugs"
"Stop worrying about this, go wash up, I'll to prepare dinner I'll explain everything at the dinner table"
About Ten minutes later,
"What's this? Why did you cook so many dishes"
"It's better to use these first, since they'll spoil first"
"Hyung, what going on? What do you want to tell me? Are you okay?"
"Sigh... Listen carefully and never mention this to anyone, okay?"
"Yes, I understand"
Both of them became serious. Min-ho is able know the gravity of his hyung's word.
"Starting tomorrow, the end of the world will begin. Tomorrow at 8 AM, the sky will turn black, and black rain will fall. if the substance in the black rain enters your body, you eyes will turn red, your nervous system will fail and you'll become mindless hunters for blood"
"So, you're saying a Zombie apocalypse will happen?"
"Yes"
"But how do you know all this?"
"I can't explain how I know, but you'll see for yourself if what I said is true or not"
After this they did their dinner and went to their own bedroom.
Min-ho started to do his homework and Min-su opened a map of his area and started to mark few things on the map.
Soon it was midnight but both brothers are wide awake in their room.
Min-ho is unable sleep because of what his brother told to him and Min-su is preparing himself for tomorrow.
Before sleeping he has reinforced the door with few planks.
Next day at 7:55 AM,
"Hyung!! you said that the sky will turn dark but it's still blue"
"There is still 5 minutes left" Min-su said with a calm expression and drinking his green tea.
"How can the the whole sky turn into pitch dark from sunny blue sky in just five minute-"
The whole room turned black as night.
"Haha. Now do you believe me"
Pitch black clouds has appeared in the sky and turned the day into night.
Min-ho is shocked to bones.
"Min-ho close all the windows. Min-ho hurry!!!"
"y-Yes, yes hyung"
Soon black rain poured down from the dark clouds, Marking the beginning of the end.
