Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 The Little Stone Bridge.

Lili ran with all her might along the small stream toward civilization. Above her in the sky, dark clouds were forming in the sky above Lili and the sun had already started to disappear behind the distant horizon causing darkness to come upon the forest. With each passing minute, the forest became darker and darker until the pitch darkness of a starless night came.

The forest seemed as if a dark blanket had just been dropped on it making it completely impossible for the small girl Lili to see anything. Lost in the darkness she tried to press on but then she stumbled and fell hard on the rocky side of the small stream she followed.

"Ahhhh!"

Lili screamed in pain. Her right knee and hands hurt, it felt like she had just hit them on some sharp rock causing them to bleed. She couldnt see it but a taste of metallic blood came to her mouth confirming this.

Pushing herself into a sitting position she carefully started to crawl around in search of some soft piece of grass she could lay on. She hadnt brought any tools with her for making quick fires so right now all she could do was wait for morning to come.

Soon the sky opened up and rain started to pour down hard. Luckily Lili found a tree she could sit under and thanks to her cloak she found herself capable of falling asleep. Lying there in the fetal position she wrapped the cloak fully around herself. The smell of that boy still haunted the cloak but it did still strangely bring her comfort. Even though their interaction had been brief and strange, he had still been somewhat kind to her and they did have some fun together.

Thinking of the boy Lili felt conflicted, she couldnt help but pout and shake her little fist as the image of that arrogant smiling face came to her mind. But at the same time, she found herself wanting to see more of his arrogant face. She wanted to show him that she could develop better and stronger muscles than he could. She wanted those 10-pack ABS.

For some unknown reason as she thought of this, her heart started to race, her breathing became heavy, she could feel her face turning red and then came that familiar hot feeling in her stomach. Unconsciously she moved her hand to her stomach but immediately realized that the feeling was not there but lower. Carefully she placed her small dainty hand onto her private part and twitched as it made contact. Then, realization hit her as she took her hand away and said in disgust.

"Ugh. The hell is that? Why am I leaking? What the hell did I just piss myself?"

Disgusted by this she furiously brushed her hand against the wet grass next to her and then decided to go a sleep with plans of taking a dip in some water as soon as possible. With a frowning face, she closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep.

The next morning she woke up to the sounds of birds singing their morning songs and water flowing gently down the small stream. All seemed well until she opened her eyes.

All around her was a thick layer of mist. At best, she could see a few meters in front of her now. The air was also moist and cold which made her shiver slightly. Luckily the cloak she held seemed to be somewhat waterproof as it wasnt fully soaked through after last nights rain.

Checking her pouches she quickly ate a few strawberries and peas that to her amazement were still all intact. Her fall the last night had luckily been stopped by her right knee and hands which amazingly seemed completely fine now. There were signs of blood on them but no wounds.

She wasnt sure why but ever since she came to this world her body has been amazingly healthy. Never even now has she ever been sick and if ever she received some scrapes or small wounds they would all heal up really fast. Thanks to this her skin and teeth were in amazing shape even though she didnt have a toothbrush, but this also meant that she could never develop manly calluses on her hands. Even with all the training she had done so far and the rough life she had lived here, she probably even now could be mistaken for some spoiled little rich kid who never needed to do a single hard thing in their life.

With a few berries and peas now in her stomach Lili felt ready to go onward. Following the small stream filled with small slippery rocks Lili had to be even more cautious than before as she walked slowly forwards towards civilization.

In her heart she felt assured that she was heading in the right direction, she felt that civilization was but only a few steps away. But then as the sun rose and the fog started to subside she was met with the sight of even more trees and no civilization, her little heart started to ache and her confidence started to disappear.

How could this be possible? Where was everybody? Where did that boy and those men come from? Should she turn back now before her food ran out? What if her friend Terminator was in trouble or her father had just now returned to her home and instead of being there when he arrived she was out here in the middle of nowhere? But then again what if there was a town just a little bit away, she had already come so far wouldnt it be bad for her to turn back now?

Lilis thought were a mess as she wasnt sure on what to do. Then she remembered the words of a great man from her past, the manliest of all men. Gritting her teeth she steeled her heart and pumped her tiny fist in the air as she said bravely.

"No retreat. No Surrender. That is Spartan law. A new age is coming the age of me the great Lili and soon all will know that I never give up and surrender without a fight. Urraahh!"

With that said Lili felt more determined than ever before as she charged into the distant fog without any fear in her heart.

With the sun setting behind her, stomach crumbling and hungry for food she pressed onwards with no signs of life until in the distance she could see the trees clearing and a stone small stone bridge just up ahead. Eyes wide Lili yelled to the air.

"Holy shit! Its a stone bridge! I fucking knew it, I found civilization!"

With all her might she ran to the bridge and touched it. Looking around she could see nothing but a dirt road going through the dense forest and then her heart sank. Falling to her knees she beat her little fists against the small bridge and felt tears forming in her eyes as she yelled to nobody in particular.

"Nooo! Why are you alone here Mister Bridge? Where are your builders? Damn it all! What am I to do now?"

Touching the bridges surface her sobbing then stopped and her eyes widened as she said.

"Wow, this stone is so smooth. This bridge is actually pretty nicely made."

Then a thought came to her. With two different directions to choose from, it is said that right is always right. Placing her little head against the little bridge Lili thanked it for its wisdom and went right.

Now having left the small stream Lili felt like she had just gained super speed as she was finally able to run at full speed on this dirt road without having to worry about slippery rocks or fallen trees. With more excitement than the situation probably deserved she ran towards the unknown distance. Even as the sun set and darkness came she still ran guided only by the feeling of the dirt road under her feet.
