Her eyes wide open, her heart pounded against her chest. DoHyun's knees gave in and she fell, unable to utter any word or movement.
"Hey! Are you okay!?" Captain Li asked without looking back. When he got no response, he glanced behind. She was shocked to the extent she lost sense of reality.
She just sat there with her head hung low and her eyes still widened.
Captain Li turned his attention back to the now agitated beast. Just then when it was about to strike DoHyun, he swooped in just in time and manipulated his aura ability creating a shield big enough to cover them.
The beast was relentless. It used its pedipalps to scratch on the shield while the tail moved swiftly, attacking the shield with its end.
The impact of the force coming from the sharp end of the tail was becoming overwhelming. It hit against the shield, making a clunk sound with every strike.
