Augustus also caught sight of Bartholomew watching the battle with a stoic expression and the silver glasses covering his eyes, making it almost impossible to see any emotion he might be having.
The end of Bartholemew was a really sad one for Augustus, and since he was here, he was gonna prevent such an ending.
With a flick of his wrist, the archaic portal appeared, and he walked through onto the ship/land of Gecko Moria.
No one else noticed the appearance of Augustus except Bartholomew.
Bartholomew Kuma's eyes narrowed slightly, recognizing Augustus. He stepped forward, his towering figure casting a long shadow.
"King Augustus," Kuma's deep voice rumbled. "What brings you here?"
"Tell me, Bartholomew, do you want to die?" Augustus asked, his tone even, but the weight of his words heavy.
"Do you want to leave your daughter to face the world alone and without a father?" Augustus continued, his gaze piercing.
Kuma's stoic expression faltered for a brief moment. "I don't know what you're talking about, but you have to leave," he said, his voice firm as he opened his palm to strike.
Augustus moved with lightning speed, his hand coated in haki, flicking away Kuma's attack effortlessly. "Your Revolutionary Army's goal is bound to fail; you alone will never defeat the World Government, especially with your flawed ideology."
Silent anger flashed in Kuma's eyes. "Leave. I have no interest in hearing your proposition," he growled, clutching his book tightly.
Kuma was scared at this moment, he didn't knowhow Augustus knew his secrets an dhe didn't know how Augustus was storing enough wave of his attack like nothing which left Kuma in a passive position where he could only use words.
He couldn't even leave cause he was here to test Zoro's resolve on orders of Dragon.
Augustus smiled, creating a portal that he stepped through.
"Maybe the World Government might not even exist when the time comes to turn you into a Pacifista," Augustus said when the portal closed behind him.
He knew that Kuma was too dedicated to his cause and his using soft methods of convincing would help, so he used these rough words to bring about a little change.
"Maybe the World government might not even exist when the time to turn Bartholomew in to a pacifista comes", Augustus said to himself, chuckling.

Time passed, and by some miracle, the straw hats managed to gain victory over Moria.
It was a tough battle filled with emotion and times when it seemed like they were in completely desperate situations, but they made it out.
"So what do you think? Do you wanna join them, Chopper?" Augustus asked the cute little reindeer beside him, who had been watching the Strawhats battle with stars in his eyes.
Their comradery, teamwork and trust for each other sparked a strong feeling of desire within him.
The desire to be someone they could also trust like that.
"I want to join them" Chopper shook his head up and down when he realized Augustus was talking to him causing Augustus to laugh.
A condition Dr Kureha had put forward was to let Chopper join a group that would treat him like a family.
Augustus had tried to convince her that Glofield would treat Chopper like family.
But she said that she wanted Chopper to be with a group of friends who would take Chopper to see the world.
Augustus no doubt tried to still convince Dr. Kureha but in the end, she didn't want Chopper to stay.
That was also the day Augustus found out just how stubborn Dr. Kureha was.
In the end, he decided to let the Chopper travel with the Strawhats.
Chopper would be relatively safe with them, and there would be some form of connection between him and Luffy.
"Well, Chopper, let's go introduce you to your crew mates,", Augustus said as he rubbed Chopper's head.
He stood up and created an archaic portal that led him straight to Luffy, who was lying on the ground, only exhausted, unable to move a muscle with no injuries on his body or pain on his face.
Along with them were Nami and Usopp, who were trying to make sure Luffy was all Right.

A few minutes before Augustus had created the portal and was still watching, the scene with Zoro and Kuma occurred.
Kuma towered over the battered Straw Hat, Zoro who was struggling to stand.
"Do you still wish to save your captain?" Kuma asks, his voice devoid of emotion.
Zoro, bloodied but resolute, nodded. "Take my life instead."
Kuma raises his paw with a large red bubble. "If you take all his pain, you may die."
"I'll bear it," Zoro replies, unwavering.
Kuma nodded as he took a small part of Luffy's pain and injected it into Zoro, causing Zoro's body to immediately react with an extreme amount of pain.
It was almost like every bit of his body was being broken.
"Do you still want to do it?"
Zoro, with a determined face, stepped into it, agony ripping through him For a short 10 minutes before it finally stopped, Throughout it, not a sound escaped his lips.
His body was still standing there, stubbornly refusing to fall, but his mind was desperately fighting to stay conscious.
Sanji found him later, standing in a pool of his blood and asked. "What happened?"
"Nothing... happened," Zoro whispered, eyes fierce despite the torment.

Back to the current time when Augustus created the portal into the Warehouse type building Luffy had fought Moria in with Name and Usopp.

"Nami what's that?!" Usopp shouted as he pointed towards the golden sparking portal that had appeared.
"Don't wake him up!" Nami said as she punched Usop on the head for being too loud.
"Owww, but seriously look" Usop said with a pained expression still pointing towards the portal.
Finally, Nami looked over and became on guard immediately with her Klima-tact.
Augsutus stepped through the portal with a smile, followed by Chopper, who was looking at the real Strawhats outside of the projection of the den den mushi for the first time with amazement.
"Hello, I am Augustus," Augustus said.
