As they arrived, Leon began to scan the area he was in. He saw countless bodies that had been cut down and piled up like a mountain. As he walked a little further, he found a giant monster's body lying on the ground, with a big head, long tusks, and a massive body. Walking a bit more, he noticed blood flowing like a river. He asked Arnold, "What the hell is that?"
Arnold answered, "That is a stream of blood coming from a giant animal that is half-dead. Because of that, it constantly pours its blood over the ground."
Hearing this, Leon was filled with fear. He had thought this world was somewhat peaceful, but he never imagined it had such a cruel side. He asked Arnold, "What kind of monster or being can bleed like that?"
Arnold explained, "This planet was once ruled by half-dragons and half-gryphons. But when a conqueror invaded our universe, it became a battlefield. The monsters living here evolved to have unimaginable regeneration abilities. When the conqueror wanted them as his mounts, our king refused. In retaliation, the conqueror killed all the monsters, mixed their blood with the rivers and oceans, cursed the water, and left this planet."
Leon's fear increased. He had seen and heard of such cruelty before, but he couldn't fully grasp the extent of it.
As they talked, they arrived at their destination where Flora's grandfather, Walter, was doing something at the center of a blood lake. Leon noticed that the entire lake was connected by the river of blood. As he approached them, Flora came to greet him. "Hello, Leon. How have you been?" she asked, somewhat embarrassed.
Leon responded, "I am fine."
Though Flora greeted Leon, her mind was racing. She didn't know how to express her gratitude towards Leon, especially since he had directly confronted her, saying she had to become his. It was the first time anyone had spoken to her like that. Her heart started racing when she looked at Leon. She didn't understand what she felt. Although she had been in a relationship with Levi, she had only accepted it to understand him more. That relationship had turned into a give-and-take arrangement with no love between them.
Flora continued, "Sorry for the trouble caused by my grandfather during the sword fight, and it looks like your sword was broken." As she said this, she pulled out a sword from her pocket and handed it to Leon.
Leon accepted the sword gratefully and said, "Don't worry, I am fine. I think your grandfather just wanted to test me. Thank you for this sword."
Leon didn't tell her that he could create swords from his blood, but doing so would cause him to lose blood, taking time to recover. Hence, he was happy to accept the sword.
As Leon and Flora talked, Walter approached Leon and asked, "Leon, are you ready?"
Leon, shocked by Walter's sudden appearance, turned and bowed slightly. "Yes, sir. I am ready to become a complete God," he said.
Walter questioned, "Leon, are you sure? If you become a complete God from an incomplete one, your level of godship will decrease. Please think carefully. This will change your life."
With determination, Leon looked at Walter and said, "Don't worry, sir. I know, and even if my godhood decreases, it will not depress me. It will motivate me. Besides, you don't know that I became a primordial God without doing anything."
Walter was taken aback. "Without doing anything? So, you're telling me your race becomes Gods without any effort? What race are you?"
Walter, who had traveled many universes and become a god himself, found it hard to believe. Becoming a god was a thorny path for every mortal, and hearing that Leon had become a primordial god effortlessly was astonishing.
Leon, confused, replied, "I am from the vampire race. I thought you knew my race."
Walter, thinking, said, "Vampire race? I don't know about them. They don't exist in the outside universes. What does your race do for a living? How did you even become a God?"
Leon explained, "Our vampire race depends on blood for nutrition."
Upon hearing this, Walter imagined Leon sucking his granddaughter's blood, and his blood boiled with rage. He grabbed Leon by the collar, lifting him into the air. "Bastard! Did you drink my granddaughter's blood, or did you make a contract to drink her blood? Tell me, you bastard!"
In a situation where he could barely speak, Leon assured Walter, "No, sir. I did not drink your granddaughter's blood. You can ask her if you don't believe me," looking at Flora for help.
Flora rushed to her grandfather's side, grabbing his arm. "No, grandfather, he did not drink my blood. I swear."
Leon added, "See? I told you. Even though I had to drink blood to survive as a mortal, I don't need blood to survive as a god."
Walter, calming down, put Leon down. "Okay, for now, I will let you go. But if you ever touch my granddaughter, you will be finished," he warned.
Leon nodded, fearing that when Walter found out about the contract, he would definitely kill him.
Walter observed Leon and noticed the sword on his left side. "Leon, who gave you that sword?"
Leon, worried, replied, "It was Flora who gave it to me. Is there something wrong with it?"
Walter was about to explain, but Arnold interrupted, "My lord, the preparation for the complete God ritual is complete. You can proceed."
Walter looked at Leon and said, "Leon, I will tell you about that sword later. Are you ready for your complete God transformation?"
Leon, excited, replied, "Yes, sir. I am ready." He walked to the center of the ritual circle as instructed by Walter.
