When entering the cave, Kael had to duck to even fit through the opening. Instead of standing in extreme darkness upon entering, he was greeted by a soft light. This light was emitted by many small stones that were embedded into the cave walls.
'Are these actually Spiritual Stones? I can't be that lucky right?'
Spiritual Stones were a kind of mineral that was created in places with a high concentration of spiritual energy. This usually happened in caves or mines since there is no living being in the vicinity that can absorb this energy. The abundant spiritual energy was then absorbed by the surrounding stone. Turning them into Spirit Stones.
Depending on the amount of spiritual Energy spirit stones were also divided into different grades: Low, Mid, High and Peak. The highest grade of spiritual Stone that earth could produce in relatively great amounts were Mid grade stones. Of course there were some Late stage ones but they were so rare that they can basically be treated as nonexistent.

'But I got off-topic, I hope the beast outside won't wait for me to emerge, otherwise I might just starve to death inside here.'
Following these words, Kael simply sat down and started cultivating again, waiting for the beast outside to leave. But even after 5 hours, the beast still guarded the cave entrance, never moving away for more than a hundred meters.
'What is going on with this beast? Why do you want me so bad? I know that I'm good-looking but I thought that was only for humans.'
'Considering that I will probably be trapped here for some time I might just explore the rest of the cave. Lest I get attacked by another beast coming from the depths of the cave.'
Kael walked further into the depths of the tunnel, following the path that was lit up by Glowing Stone in regular intervals. The way continued like this for another 2 kilometers before Kael finally saw a larger opening before him, probably leading to the end of the cave.
Without any fear, Kael headed inside, still doing his best to remain quiet. He didn't want to wake up any potential beasts inside there.
Upon entering Kael was greeted by a large cavern. The walls were covered in thick moss and other small plants. In the middle of the cavern there was a small body of water with a diameter of about 5 meters. The strangest thing though was something that was placed inside of the pool.
It was a light green egg with a height of about 20 cm. On the shell there were many dark green patterns that were constantly moving. When Kael tried to focus on them he was suddenly assaulted by a splitting headache and got the feeling that he was not meant to understand them.
When Kael lay his eyes upon the egg, he unconsciously moved towards it. From his soul a feeling arose that told him this egg was meant to be with him. Upon moving closer to the egg the amount of spiritual energy in his surroundings increased by a large amount, but Kael was too focused to notice it. Without realizing it he had already arrived before the egg and picked it up.
'System identify this egg please'

Kael was shocked by the revelation before him. From his experience, a censored grade or name usually meant that it was outside his authority. Three question marks however meant that the system was unable to identify the item. What did this mean? It meant that even an unimaginably strong entity like the system or its creator have never heard of the race contained inside this egg.
'I can never tell anyone about this egg. If anyone finds out about its grade I probably won't live long enough to even appreciate acquiring it. I should definitely form a contract with the thing that is inside. This way no one will be able to see its attributes without my permission.'
'But how do I do that? I know that the Beast Taming Sect definitely has a method to contract beast but they probably won't hand it out for free.'
What Kael didn't know was that even if he got the taming method of this sect, it's level would be way too low to contract a pet of the caliber inside his egg.
At this moment Kael's vision was drawn towards something that seemed to have lied below the egg. It was a seemingly simple ring that, upon looking closer, revealed its high quality craftsmanship and materials. Still it didn't look like it had any special functions.
Upon picking up the ring, something suddenly invaded his head. He tried to stop it but he was powerless.
"Hello Kael."
'W-Who is this? How are you speaking inside my head?' Kael nervously looked around him, trying to find who transmitted the words that were spoken.
"When you hear this I am probably already dead. Or at least that is the closest word to describe my state that your mortal mind will be able to understand. I will also not be able to answer any of your questions since this is just a memory I left on the ring. This way my enemies won't be able to trace your location."
"In the egg you're holding is my only son. I left him with you to ensure that he can't be harmed by anyone. The reason for why he's safe with you is hard to describe since it involves some concepts you are not eligible to hear yet. But they are related to your unknown soul and censored special talent in your Status Screen."
'How do you know about that?' Kael asked skeptically. Did the system snitch on him? 'My bad I forgot you can't answer, just continue'
"Let's just say that both of you are probably the two most talented beings in existence and your talents complement each other. It would only benefit you if you contracted my son. The technique for that is in the soul ring I left you."
"By the way, a soul ring is a special kind of storage ring that can only be accessed with soul power other than normal storage rings who only need spiritual power. This makes it especially secure and most people under a Mid-Law world won't even be able to recognize it. It can also store living things. That's really rare so don't sell it off."
'What is a Mid-Law world? I better remember that for later'
"Anyway, my son won't be born until a year later so you can use that time to practice in this cave. There's a dense spiritual energy around you and it is wayyy more than you need to reach the Jade Refinement realm."
"At that time you should also be able to slay the 9th stage Energy Refinement beast I positioned outside the cave. And don't worry I hid your cave and the beast with some arrays so you won't be able to call for help."
For some reason Kael felt that the last part of the sentence was said with a fat smirk on the mans face, which gave Kael the desire to hit him.
"That's all for now and remember to not tell anyone about either your talents nor my sons. I'm also going to transmit the information on how to use soul energy into your head now so get ready for that."
"Oh and before I forget, my sons name is Karl"
'What the heck is going on with the naming sense of the people in this universe. In which world is Karl a good name to give to a supremely talented being?' That was Kael's last thought before he felt the presence in his head vanish and a large amount of information was sent directly into his brain.
