Chapter 30 - World Of Supernatural - Magic Pathway

"Now, before we begin, let me warn you. Although there are myriad mystical practices, the main ones that most of the common races use are the mage and the martial arts system. The magic, or mage, pathway uses the aura in the surroundings to create spells, which would manipulate and change reality onto their whim. At low sequences, they are able to do so only at small levels, but as you go higher, the degree increases. The aim of the magicians are to simulate and create their own universe, where they are the law. For reasons unknown to us, there can only be 15 such beings at the top of the sequence.

Each stage has three points, or what we call pools, that needs to be filled up before you can advance to the next stage. Each pool can carry 2 spells each, until the sixth stage, which will be explained later. There are ten stages for the mage pathway, but due to the Universal Federation law, I can at most explain the first three stages:

Apprentice - They are beings who have stepped into the path of magic. They have just started to absorb the elemental aether in the air, and all they can do is prepare their minds and body to accept the sudden influx of aether. They can only have six cantrips in total, of any attributes, but they are all basic spells, such as Air Flow, Cool, or Spark.

Mage - In this stage they are finally able to determine what their attributes are: Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, and Metal. There are other attributes, but they will be explained further in the university.

Wizard - The wizard stage is one of the cornerstone stages. Here they need to hone on their foundational knowledge, as this will determine what their future path will be. This is one of the most important, if not important stage, because if they do not choose we'll, they will hamper, and possibly cut of, their future path of ascension.

Although what I have taught now may have been already taught by your parents, or by by doing some basic research, I cannot stress enough how important this is. I do not want any of you to go astray in your path, and trust me when I say this: You do not want to know what happens next." Mrs. Hunton's voice turns deep, scaring most of the students into silence, grappling with fear at this grave ending.

While everyone was brooding in silence, one kid juts his hand up, and in a quivering voice, asks her "M-mrs, what about martial arts, how do they differ from the magic system?" Mrs.Hunton suddenly jerks her head up from her contemplation, evidently angry from being interrupted. The student twitched in fear, before getting emboldened from the stares his fellow peers have given him. He continues "Yeah, you promised us you would tell us the mage and the martial arts system, and you only told us about the mage system. What is the martial arts system then?"

Mrs. Hunton glared at the student, which caused him to cower back into his seat, his scaly tail twitching in panic. Her glare continued for a minute or two, before sighing in defeat, "Yes, I will explain it to you, even though I did not promise to do so. So, about the martial arts pathway..."
