Sophie slowly regained consciousness. She could faintly hear a girl's voice echoing as she opened her eyes.
"Hello, Hellooooooo." The ghost girl said as she was looking at Sophie.
"What? Ah!" Sophie exclaimed while opening her eyes. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Ghoo, go, GHOST!" she yelled while moving away from the girl. She quickly covered her mouth because she didn't want to wake up her parents.
"Ghost? Where?" The ghost girl said, looking around. "You!!!" Sophie said while pointing at the girl with short hair. her full body was blue transparent and was floating in the air.
"What? I am not a ghost; I am a spirit." The girl said this while holding her hand on her chest and her eyes closed. "What's the difference?" Sophie asked, still scared.
"Well, spirits are friendly, while ghosts are scary."
"And what did you do to me?" Sophie asked. "Ummm, scared you?" The spirit girl said. "So?" said Sophie.
Digi realized the statement and said, "Oh, good point. But I am not a ghost, ok?"
"Why are you here, and what do you want from me, Ghost?" Sophie said.
"OK, first of all," the spirit girl said, irritated. "My name is Digi, and second of all, you called me here." Digi implied.
"Me?" Sophie was confused. "I didn't call you here." "Really? So you are not with the stone?" Digi asked.
"What? What does the stone have to do with this?" Sophie asked. "Hmm, just tell me this: Are you with the stone?" Digi asked.
"Yes, but...." Sophie was saying but was stopped by Digi.
"Then you are the guardian and my master," Digi implied.
Sophie was more confused than ever.
"What?" she asked. "You know what; where is the stone?" Digi asked.
Sophie brought out the stone from the drawer, but when she did, it began to glow. Startled, Sophie threw the stone, and Digi caught it.
"See, I told you," Digi said, holding the stone in her hand. "How...how is it glowing? Wait, did you come from the stone?" Sophie gasped.
"Not really, but the stone brought me here since you are now its holder and guardian," Digi explained.
"I'm very confused. What do you mean by 'guardian,' 'holder,' 'spirit,' and this stone? Please explain," Sophie requested.
"Right. Sorry about that. I can't explain in detail, so you will have to come with me," Digi said. "No way. I'm not following a ghost to nowhere," Sophie refused.
"Spirit," Digi corrected her. "Whatever. I'm not going anywhere with you," Sophie said firmly.
"Well, suit yourself then. You will never know about the secrets of life beyond the universe..." Digi was about to disappear, but Sophie stopped her.
"Wait, life...beyond?" Sophie asked. "Yes," Digi replied. "What do you mean?" "I'll tell you, but you have to come with me first. Trust me," Digi said with an assuring smile.
Sophie was confused, but her curiosity got the best of her. She hesitated at first but then agreed. Sophie took a deep breath and said, "OK."
"Great! Hold the stone," Digi said, happily. Sophie held the stone. "Now place it close to you, close your eyes, and look deep into your subconsciousness," Digi instructed.
"How should I do that?" Sophie asked. "Just clear your mind and let the energy within you flow," Digi explained.
Sophie didn't quite understand but tried to do it. As she did, the stone glowed, and Sophie fell into nothingness, roaming around in space before falling into a wormhole.
Sophie slowly opened her eyes and widened them as she saw the Earth in front of her with some black holes around it. She noticed that she was floating in space and got scared as she realized that she was in space. She thought she would die as space didn't have oxygen and started to panic. Suddenly, she heard Digi laugh.
"Hahaha, don't worry, nothing will happen to you," Digi assured Sophie. "What is this place?" Sophie asked, disturbed.
"Welcome to the Wormhole," Digi said. "Wormhole?" Sophie asked as she floated. "Yes, Sophie. This is the Wormhole that allows you to travel across multiple universes," Digi explained.
"Multiple universes?" Sophie asked, surprised.
"Yes, as you see these black holes, they are portals that allow you to travel to different worlds that have different adventures that await you," Digi replied. "Why are there adventures?" Sophie asked, confused.
"To travel the universes and help the people to fight evil, of course," Digi implied. "What? You are not making sense. How is that possible?" Sophie said.
"It is, with this stone," Digi pointed at the stone in Sophie's hands. Sophie then looked at the stone with confusion and questions about life, and it was almost at a fainting level. Digi looked at her.
"You know what, let's go to the realm. I'll explain it there," Digi said. "The Realm? What is that?" Sophie asked.
"It's a place where all the guardians' progress is being held, like a home," Digi implied.
Sophie was still confused but reluctantly agreed. Digi held Sophie's hand and opened a portal with her right hand. Sophie's eyes widened to see that, and then Digi went through the portal with Sophie.
Digi and Sophie then found themselves in a huge hall. Digi welcomed Sophie to the place.
"Welcome to the Guardian Realm," Digi said while spreading her arms.
Sophie was surprised to see a crystal cave-type castle home and was astonished to see how it was filled with fascinating stuff like enchantments, books, crystals, gems, and more.
"You live here?" Sophie asked, fascinated by the place. "Well, it's mostly for the Guardian but I also live here." Digi implied. Sophie turned to face Digi and saw Digi in Human form. She had a gradient of Orange to Yellow short hair, her eyes had a sparkling gemstone texture with a white star in the middle, which was the pupil, and her outfit was a dark grey vest that reached her knees and a very light Blue and purple shirt, with a dark blue skirt. She wore knee-length socks and black boots. "Wow, you are pretty in human form, but why were you a spirit." Sophie was astonished by the beautiful look of Digi. " Thank you, well because this is my home, so I am not spirit here. But anywhere else I am a spirit."
"Wow, this is amazing. And I wish I had a home like this," Sophie said. "Yeah, but when you live alone for a hundred and twenty years then it's a curse." Digi pointed out.
"You live here alone, all by yourself," Sophie asked. "Yes, because, after the last guardian, the position that the world was in, nobody was capable of becoming the next guardian. Until you came." Digi implied.
"You said I was chosen as the guardian, but for what?" Sophie asked. "You are the guardian of the Multiverse," Digi replied.
Sophie was astonished to hear that but was still shocked as to how this was even possible. Multiverse? How is that a thing? Sophie has only heard of this in movies, stories and fairy tales.
"Why me? And how does the multiverse even exist?" Sophie asked curiously. "It is you because of your inner consciousness of positivity. Because of your way of Good deeds and your good ways." Digi implied.
"But everyone can be good, why only me?" Sophie asked. "Because your positivity is different, you don't just do good, you also think good. For others, for you, for the world. And for the multiverse, it has existed for thousands of years." Digi explained.
"What? How?" Sophie asked, shocked. "You know what?" Digi said and snapped her fingers and a sofa and some snacks appeared.
"Make yourself comfortable cause this can take a while." Digi implied. Sophie sat on the Sofa and gave her full attention to Digi. Digi then starts explaining.
Well, let me start from here. Millions of years ago, In a distant galaxy, a powerful storm of cosmic energy erupted, hurtling through space and time, until it collided with Earth. This storm, known as the Celestial Tempest, carried with it the extraordinary ability to open portals to different multiverses. This energy was then absorbed by a meteor that hit the earth and formed into the stone. However, this power could only be harnessed by individuals who possessed an unwavering sense of positivity and hope within them.
10 centuries ago, in the town of Mendenia, there was a researcher named Vinos Den. He was the most respectful and good-hearted soul who lived, he always helped people, didn't think of harming anybody, and never fought, he was good from his mind and heart. He was also a scientist for almost 14 years, but then retired and became a researcher.
One particular day on his research trip he found the stone buried deep within the soil of the forest. He was fascinated by the stone as the properties of the stone were unique and weren't discovered so he took the stone with him to research it. After researching he found out that stone had some properties of a meteor that clashed on Earth millions of years ago. So finding out that it was just a meteor stone, he didn't think much of it and closed the case. But after a while, strange occurrences started to happen, like he started to hear voices. Something weird was happening around him. He thought he was going crazy, he even visited many doctors but they all said that he was fine and that maybe he was just imagining things. Some people even said he was crazy, but he knew he was not. One night he found the stone glowing and a spirit appeared to him...
"Wait, wait, you mean he experienced the same thing I did?" Sophie asked. "Yes."
"Wait. Then, was the spirit you?" Sophie asked again. "Well, yes but in a different version," Digi replied. "What do you mean?"
"Let me continue, then you will understand," Digi said. "Oh right, sorry." Sophie apologised. "It's okay." Digi continues.
So the spirit (Digi) told him that the spirit was a cosmetic energy that was created through the celestial tempest and that he was a guide that would help him in his adventures to different universes, to maintain balance and harmony in other universes.
"And if he didn't?" Sophie asked.
"And if he didn't, The consequences of the guardian not fulfilling their duty could result in chaos, suffering, and imbalance in the universes they are meant to protect." Digi implied.
Sophie was shocked after hearing this.
"Can I continue?" Digi asked. "Yes."
So, the man was first confused as to how is that possible but the spirit told him that there are evil things out there that want the stone. The man asked what would happen if he did. The spirit replied that if he could help the people in the other dimensions then he could save his own. The man was just a researcher, so how could he be a guardian? The spirit told him that he has the potential to be one, with passion, love and goodness in his heart for others. He understood it, but he still wasn't sure if to do this or not. But the spirit told him that it would help him, guide him and prepare him for all that would be needed in his journey. But the spirit told him that the task was also dangerous. The man got scared, but the spirit told him that his potential was great, so nothing would ever happen as long as he fought with heart. The man, after much consideration, agreed to the task and became the first-ever guardian.
"And after that, he travelled to many universes and helped the alliances to fight evil." Digi ended the backstop.
"So the Life Beyond is the adventures that it's done apart from our life in our dimension?" Sophie asked as she studied the puzzle together.
"Yes," Digi replied. "So, did Vinos Den ever succeed?" Sophie asked.
"Well he did, but his time was up. So the stone was passed on to another guardian as their successor." Digi implied. "And did they succeed?"
"No, some said no, some quit, some weren't able to do it and some died while trying." "WHAT?" Sophie gasped.
"No, no I mean some gave up and didn't want to fight so they died. But I know you are not like that, you can do this, your energy is not like the others." Digi pointed out.
"But how many guardians were chosen in these past 1000 years?" Sophie asked. "65," Digi answered. Sophie was amazed by the answer.
"Plus you, that is 66, after 120 years," Digi added. "Woah, what type of dimensions did they travel to?" Sophie asked.
"Well, there is a lot that even if I count I will lose count." Digi implied.
Sophie was then processing all that she just heard. There was silence for a moment then Digi spoke. "So, Sophie, do you want to do this?"
"Well, Digi, this is something I have to think about before making a decision. I mean it's also a matter of life and death." Sophie said.
"Well, death is not specific. If you try your best and follow my guide you will be fine. And besides you will get powers so I don't think you should have..." Digi was explaining but was interrupted by Sophie.
"Wait, What?" She exclaimed,"
Powers!!!! Really?" "Yes, really, because how can you fight all those monsters without powers?" Digi implied.
"Awesome," Sophie said, surprised. Sophie's excitement then died down and she said, "But Digi it's still a huge task and responsibility and I will also have things to do in my dimension, and if I do go to another dimension what do you want me to tell my family?"
"Well, you can tell your family, but I will advise you not to. Do you think your family can handle it?" Digi implied. Sophie then started thinking and then replied, "No."
"Don't worry they won't even know that you are gone," Digi said. "Wha.....what do you mean?" Sophie asked.
"As a guide like a support system, I can create a specific timeline travel that will let you come back to the same time as you left and I can also make a clone of you that will stay as you in your dimension and you will be in the other dimension," Digi explained.
"That can work?" Sophie asked with a little confusion. "Yes," Digi replied. Sophie was going through her thoughts.
"Digi, is it alright if I take some time to think?" Sophie asked. "Yes, of course. But you have to give me an answer quickly otherwise I have to find another guardian, but finding someone capable took 120 years, who knows what might have happened in that period." Digi implied.
"I can understand, but I need time. Can I go home now?" Sophie said. "Oh, sure," Digi replied, she then opened a portal and took Sophie back to her room.
"Well since you are still my master, if you need help with something just hold the stone and say "REMIS" I will come ok?" Digi said while standing in front of the portal.
"Sure, thanks Digi." Sophie appreciated her.
Digi then nodded and smiled and went back to the realm. Sophie then goes to her bed and falls on it. With many thoughts going on in her mind.
"What.....just happened?????" She thought of what she had just gone through.
