"asshole" Yumiko grumbled before biting her arm, all of her scratches disappeared at once leaving nothing but her healthy skin
She was already in her apartment, so she wasn't worried about the extra eyes.
She sighed tiredly before falling into her bed
'it is a good thing that I've finally learned the shadow clone jutsu... but at what cost' she thought bitterly.
Needless to say, Yumiko was very tired of Kakashi games, playing with her like that wasn't very kind of him and she wouldn't let it slide
She was a mess right now, thank god her day was almost over
and although she hadn't done any training to be that tired, her spare with Kakashi alone drained a lot of her energy.
'taking a nap won't hurt' Yumiko thought tiredly before yawning.
unfortunately, not a second after closing her eyes, her doorbell ring
'Okay, what the fuck?' she looked towards the door in agitation while mumbling "What now"
Yumiko's patience was running low by the second; her day was awfully good, but that didn't last when she decided to ask Kakashi to teach her shadow clones.
Getting up from her bed lazily, she headed towards the door, not bothering to see through the peephole and instead opening the door harshly with a scowl on her young face
However, that didn't last after she got to see who was at her doorstep
"Genma-sensei?"
"Yumiko-chan congra-wait what happened to you?" Genma raised his eyebrow in confusion
Yumiko sighed before crossing her arms, annoyance was clear on her features "Kakashi suddenly wanted to test my strength, he even attacked me without warning..." she complained to Genma; almost whining.
The said man narrowed his eyes in annoyance then tsked
"that damned Hatake" he mumbled in irritation before looking at Yumiko, his eyes slightly softened
He always had a soft spot for his only student...
Yumiko on the other hand sweat dropped at his exaggeration
'I spared with him not him trying to kill me! That man didn't even bother to fight me head-on! and only sent his cursed shadow clones!'
Of course, Yumiko was too embarrassed to admit that, so instead, she tried to change the subject. "Let's forget about that sensei..."
Patting Yumiko's hair gently, he answered, "Worry not, yumiko-chan. I'll talk to him later about it.
Anyway I just wanted to congratulate you on becoming a chunin yumiko-chan, I am sorry for being the last person to congratulate you" he scratched his neck awkwardly
Yumiko smiled proudly "Thank you, sensei! Because of you and Hayate sensei I've become a chunin, and of course without forgetting my efforts"
he chuckled before responding "I see you're tired; go take a rest. Tomorrow morning, we're gonna take an A-rank joint mission that I chosed" Genma suddenly smirked mischievously while looking at Yumiko.
The said girl looked at him dumbfounded while she thought skeptically
'how could you hate Kakashi if you are just like him?
Regardless, I still haven't done my training plans, so maybe I will ask his advice'
Yumiko cleared her throat before replaying with a fake smile "Sure whatever you say sensei"
"good. Now goodbye Yumiko-chan" he patted her hair again before flickering
'you just wait... I'll make you all regret teasing me like that!'
Yumiko tsked before shutting her door harshly
Unfortunately, she could no longer sleep as she had to prepare for her joint mission.
The next day she went to her usual training ground with Genma while glaring at him from the back
But her glare turned into a surprise after seeing her supposed teammates
'Isn't that Kotetsu and Izumo?
So I'll be on a joint mission with them... I wonder what is Genma plotting...
To be honest, I wasn't planning to do missions anytime soon and instead focusing on my training only...well I suppose this mission would benefit me one way or another'
Genma glanced at Yumiko before smirking "That would be your teammates for our A-rank mission, we will discuss the details on our way"
Yumiko nodded at him with a serious face before looking back at her teammates who were judging her entire being
"So this is the hidden prodigy... quite the looks if you ask me Kotetsu"
"I agree, being a chunin at such a young age... I am almost impressed, but remembering that Hatake... she is nothing compared to him"
Yumiko's sweat dropped while thinking
'I am almost offended, fortunately I know exactly how much of a monster Kakashi was at his prime'
Kotetsu and Izumo kept their flow of conversation while ignoring the existence of Genma and Yumiko
That was until Genma cleared his throat "All right, we don't want to be late for the mission! Yumiko; this is Kotetsu and this is Izumo" he said while pointing at each one of them
Yumiko smiled while she greeted them doing a small bow "Nice to meet you, my name is Yumiko"
"well at least she has manners unlike how Kakashi was"
Kotetsu elbowed his partner for his comment before looking back at Yumiko smiling "Nice to meet you too Yumiko-san, me and Izumo are honored to share a mission with a supposed prodigy"
Yumiko nodded before glancing back at Genma who began talking "Let's go now, the sooner we start the mission the better"
The two of them nodded before flickering to the village gates.
Genma took out a senbon from his pouch before putting it in his mouth "See you at the gate Yumiko" he flickered leaving Yumiko who not seconds after flickered

"So our mission is to deliver an important scroll?" Yumiko asked with a raised brow. "Are we perhaps going to face danger?"
she added while jumping on trees with the others by her side
"that's for me to know and for you to find out Yumiko-chan" Genma said, amusement was clear in his tone.
Yumiko narrowed her eyes at him
'when would you stop messing with me?
it has become annoying now'
"at least tell me our destination sensei"
"oh we are going to the land of Iron" Izumo answered casually
Yumiko eyes widen before she replayed0 calmly "... I see"
'I've heard of the land of Iron, it's a place where there is Samurais instead of ninjas' Yumiko was excited to see a new place in the ninja world
'though am not planning to learn kenjutsu since I have my Gunbai'
Genma glanced at the happy Yumiko for a brief moment before focusing back. a small smile tugged his lips unwillingly.
With this, they spend the next few hours jumping in trees at a fast speed, that's until Genma decided they needed rest, so they went to a patroled area.
The next day, they departed again.
till now, their joint mission hasn't been
interfered and they had yet to fight anyone.
While running at their full speed, as pair of Genma orders, Yumiko suddenly detected chakra presences, they were heading towards them
not letting her guard down, she decided to activate her chakra field to investigate more on their guests
her eyes slightly widen as she thought surprised
'I can feel eight presence, six of them don't exceed chunin rank, and the other two are genin with how little chakra they have...
unfortunately for them we have a tokubetsu jonin in our team and two experienced chunin, so we have the upper hand I guess.
As for them, winning is impossible, unless they call for reinforcements which is unlikely to happen...'
'Regardless, now I am more curious on what the scroll has to be this important'
looking at Genma Yumiko announced "sensei I think we have company"
Genma nodded at her calmly as he already felt their presence after activating his chakra field not a second later than Yumiko did.
He took out a scroll from his pouch then tossed it at Yumiko carelessly
Yumiko looked at the scroll then at Genma in confusion "uh... what is that?"
genma smirked before answering
"a scroll of course" Yumiko furrowed her eyebrows while looking at him in cher annoyance "I mean what should I do with it?"
"oh protect it" Yumiko tightened her hold around the scroll after hearing his command
"sensei this can't possibly be..."
"yup it is definitely the said scroll" Izumo answered instead
"Yumiko, knowing the scroll importance no one would suspect it to be with you, and if they did, you can fight them.
Now go ahead and deliver it to lord Mifune, the land of Iron is four hours away from here, we will take care of them and meet you there" Genma said seriously while looking at Yumiko who was stunned
'Mifune? how the fuck should I know who is he?'
instead of asking about it, she nodded at genma then headed off while he and the duo stopped waiting for their guest
'this name is somehow familiar...
more importantly I should reach to the land of Iron faster so I won't have to face any danger... it seemed like genma want to test me too... what a bother' she tsked
