As they surveyed the fallen clicker, suddenly, a white orb flowed out of the corpse and separated into two, with about sixty percent entering into Damien's body and the rest into Finch's.
[You have acquired Primal Energy of Level 8 Clicker. Dexterity +3, Stamina +2]
[You have reached Level 3. You get 2 status points to distribute freely.]
[You have reached Level 4. You get 2 status points to distribute freely.]
The familiar golden status window appeared in front of Damien, displaying his acquired points for killing the clicker. Although the primal energy within the clicker was shared between him and Finch, he was able to level up twice.
Damien clenched his fists tightly, he could feel a massive difference between the previous level and the current level. He felt like he could crush a boulder with one punch. The energy coursing through his veins gave him a renewed confidence on surviving in this new world.
He decided to check out his current attribute status and then allocate status points if necessary. He said internally, 'Status Window'.
The familiar golden status window once again appeared in front of Damien. He felt amazed at how it could magically appear and disappear, he even turned towards multiple directions but it didn't leave his sight.
'I'm such a fool. Now that the world has changed into this... I shouldn't be surprised by any unnatural phenomenon anymore.' He shook his head with a wry smile as he thought to himself. He then focused on his status window.
[Name: Damien Quinn -
Race: Human
Level: 4
Class: None
Tittle: None
Attributes:
Strength: 22
Dexterity: 23
Stamina: 16
Intelligence: 11
Health Points (HP): 110
Primal Energy: 220
Primal Constitution: Grade 4 - Expert
Unused Status Points (SP): 8
Damien observed his attributes and noticed that most of his stats, save for Intelligence had increased. It was still at eleven points, just a level above the average human.
"Well, i never considered myself to be a genius. I'm not cut out for that but, Finch should probably fit that role perfectly." He shook his head and muttered to himself.
Damien moved on to his other stats. His stamina hasn't increased by much since Level 1 and was still at sixteen points which wasn't a good thing. From the VR games he had played, he knew that having a high level of stamina would play an important role in this new world were battling would soon be a norm. Regardless of how high his strength and dexterity was, it'll be useless once he ran out of stamina. So he decided he'll allocate some SP to his stamina.
As for his strength and dexterity, he noticed that it wasn't as balanced as he'd want it. He knew that dexterity overall, encompasses the ability to battle with precision, speed, and accuracy, whether physical or mental which would improve his usage of the Sanguine Arts. But having speed and accuracy without enough strength or force to penetrate the enemy's defense would be useless.
Having a higher level of strength and a high enough dexterity would balance his attribute stats. He decided to allocate four status points to stamina, increasing it to twenty points thereby preventing any situation where he lacked enough stamina during battle.
He also added the remaining status points to strength which increased it to twenty-six points, three points above dexterity. He concluded that three points should be a reasonable gap between strength and dexterity, a balance between his strength and dexterity.
After allocating points to his attributes, Damien closed the status window and moved his gaze to Finch who currently stood before the Clicker's corpse with a thoughtful expression as he observed it or rather the colourful orbs that appeared on it.
"What's that?" Damien questioned as he approached Finch.
"I think it should be something similar to the items we got after killing the zombies back in the second floor. Most likely weapons or other treasure items, just like in the VR games." Finch replied excitedly.
Lying on the Clicker's corpse were two green and blue orbs. They had appeared after the death of the Clicker and were most likely rewards for killing the creature. To confirm the theory, Damien cautiously picked up the orbs with both hands and crushed them. Immediately, flash of green and blue light appeared and disappeared but in place of the orbs, two items appeared on his hands.
On his left hand which had previously held the blue orbs now lay a crossbow. The crossbow has a sleek, dark wood stock adorned with intricate silver runes. Its limbs are made of a rare, almost translucent material that glows with a soft, ethereal energy. The bowstring is woven from strands of shadowy darkness, giving it an otherworldly appearance. Suddenly, a golden light flashed in his eyes as his status window appeared, displaying information on the crossbow.

Damien's eyes widened as he read the status window of Stormpiercer. His breath hitched, the weight of the weapon's power sinking in. 'It really is powerful weapon, but too bad it's not compatible with me. This should be a perfect weapon for Finch.'
After that, Damien passed the crossbow over to Finch; excitedly while he moved on to the next item on his hand. It was a long sword with a blade forged from a mysterious, dark metal that seems to absorb the light around it, giving it an eerie, shadowy appearance. The hilt is wrapped in black leather, adorned with small, glinting silver studs that resemble the night sky. Like previously, the status window appeared, displaying information on the longsword.
