Unless a monster with a lot of strength or sharp weapons like the Clicker or the massive creature appeared, there was no way they could get in. This fact brought relief to the survivors. At least, they could stay hidden in the coliseum until the army came searching for survivors, or so they thought.
After entering the cafeteria, Damien looked to the left and right to make sure no one else was there. After making sure, the duo settled down. There were a little tired of the killings and being on edge throughout the day. This was rare moment of respite.
Now that he had the chance, Damien excitedly opened up his status window to check out his stats and gains throughout the journey. He was eager to find out his current level. After opening his status window, he was greeted by a long list of notifications about his gains.

[You have acquired Primal Energy of Level 6 Lurker Zombie. You get Intelligence + 1, Dexterity + 1]....
[You have reached level 7. You get 6 status points to distribute freely.]
The list of messages went on and on, totalling over seventy kills. Damien couldn't believe he'd killed over seventy people. Although they were now zombies devoid of any human emotions, he still felt a bit uncomfortable. 'Maybe I'll get used to it in the future'. He thought to himself.
There was a long list of messages but Damien focused on the new type of zombies and the big guy they had killed. The first was the Wild Zombies, he remembered they were different from the normal zombies as they walked on all fours. They were very agile and had sharp nails extending over an inch which was lethal as one could get infected by a tiniest of scratches.
The second one was the Lurker Zombie. This one was way weaker than the normal and wild zombies but they had a certain trait which sent chills down his spine. The were stalkers and lurked in the shadows waiting for the right moment to lunge at their prey. They had a dark complexion and a glint of intelligence in their soulless eyes. They were quite the hassle.
The third one was the strongest he'd seen so far and Scenes of the battle still played in his head. He had almost lost his life in that battle. 'Rageborn... A fitting name for such an aggressive creature'
After looking through the messages, Damien quickly opened up his stats.
[Name: Damien Quinn -

The sight of his improved stats brought a smile to Damien's face. He was satisfied with the overall improvement but he also noticed that killing creatures of the same level continuously lowered the rate of receiving attributes points or even, receiving non at all.
Deciding to keep his unused SP for now, Damien closed his status window. He moved his gaze to Finch who was staring into space with a large grin on his face. Obviously, he was looking at his status window and was very satisfied with his improvement. He had also killed a lot of zombies and had received a fair percentage of primal energy from participating in the battle against Rageborn.
A few minutes later, Finch regained his senses and noticed Damien staring at him. He said excitedly, "The Primal Chronicles is really powerful and mysterious. One grows powerful by just killing zombies and some random monsters.
When you defeat a creature, you absorb its primal energy. There's a high possibility that when that creature's primal energy is much higher than yours, the Primal Chronicles concentrates all the power you were unable to absorb in the form of treasures, just like the Clicker and Rageborn we killed. The higher the level of our enemy, the higher the chances of getting a higher quality treasure, and the higher the remaining primal energy, the higher the probabilities go up even more...Therefore, even the orbs we obtained is more valuable than we think at the current stages." Finch concluded.
Hearing Finch's words, Damien couldn't help but nod his head in agreement. The Primal Chronicles was very mysterious and they hadn't even seen all there was to it. Although he had a lot of unanswered questions, there was no one knowledgeable about the Primal Chronicles and what it entails.
Damien looked to the left and right to make sure no one else was there. After making sure, he opened his backpack and took out the two orbs they had obtained earlier after killing Rageborn. The massive creature had dropped two green coloured orbs.
Damien quickly squeezed the green orbs, it broke and two new treasures appeared in front of him. Fich also focused on the treasures, his expectations brimming.

Damien's eyes lit up and he sucked in a cold breath. The Hawkeye goggles were a perfect fit for Finch and complemented his abilities. It was like adding wings to a tiger.
He passed on the goggles to Finch who's features bloomed with joy on seeing the goggles information.
Repressing his envy, Damien hopefully checked out the other treasure. On his right hand was a parchment which most likely contained a skill or so he thought.
[Silverblood Ranger (Unclassified Passive Skill) - Level 1: By learning this passive skill, you gain the heightened awareness and survival instincts of a seasoned military ranger. Your tracking abilities improve, enabling you to follow the faintest trails, and you become adept at navigating through even the most treacherous terrain. Additionally, your Knowledge and proficiency with modern firearms and cold weapons increases, granting you superior marksmanship and quicker draw speed.]
"Silverblood Ranger?" Damien's eyes lit up when he saw the name of the skill. After seeing the vague but concise information available on the skill parchment, his gaze became even brighter.
Currently, Damien was countless times more powerful than any human being before the world changed. His strength had reached 50 points and his dexterity had reached 44 points, while the rest of his stats were also at least twice that of an ordinary person.
However, although he could currently dominate his enemies by overwhelming them due to his stats, treasures acquired, and his Sanguine Arts, Damien was very clear that if he faced an enemy on equal terms with him but with real combat experience, the one who would be unlucky and meet a fatal fate would probably be him.
What Damien lacked the most at this moment was combat experience, control of different martial arts, etc. But with the skill parchment in his hands, this problem could be solved immediately. He only needed to wish for it and he would immediately become an experienced person as an elite military ranger with years of training and battle experience.
However, Damien hesitated.
"Unclassified skill...?" He muttered under his breath.
Although he didn't know how the level of skills and their rankings worked, Damien, who obtained a skill ranked as 'Third Rank Evolution Skill', couldn't help but feel that this skill Silverblood Ranger wasn't that good in the long run.
He realized that the word passive was the key in this matter.
Even after facing so many dangers, Damien had not forgotten about the hidden warning he received when he decided to learn his Sanguine Art. That warning was reminding him that he could only learn four more active skills.
'External active skills should be skills that need primal energy movement to function and that i didn't learn on my own throughout my life.' Damien thought to himself patiently. "Before, i was just a normal human with no training and yet, nevertheless, i was able to learn a terrifying skill in just a few seconds. However, the passive skills i can learn through skill scrolls should be unlimited so i shouldn't worry about running out of learning space.'
Damien looked at the contents of the parchment in his hands.
The parchment in his hands turned into countless particles of light that flowed into his body. In the depths of his soul, a silver-colored rune appeared with countless engravings on it.
Damien immediately felt a slight prickling in his mind that instead of being painful, was uncomfortable.
