The vampire notices that Leakiel is attempting to crawl away. Immediately used his vamp speed to pick up Leakiel from the ground, holding him by his tapered shirt collar. "Where do you think you're going?" asked the male vampire holding up Leakiel.
"To... your mother,'' said Leakiel, being sarcastic while still half unconscious.
"Whoa! You got some balls of steel to say that to a vampire! Knowing you're going to face your impending grave,'' replied the vampire.
"Oh no darn it, why do I have to be bitten by a man? Where are all the hot vampire women? I would sure like them drink me instead,'' said Leakiel, not feeling any fear.
The vampire was taken aback by Leakiel's strange conversation.'' What? What are you ?...*sigh.* I ain't go any further. As a matter of fact, considering the disgust of what you implied. I think I should kill you quickly before I lose my appetite,'' stated the male vampire, as he showed his fang to bite Leakiel's neck.
zzzzz-Tunk! Splat!
The male vampire, suddenly fell to the ground after being bolted in the head. Leakiel with the vamp blood on his face, set free from the vampire's grip. Without hesitation, he drew out his stake, rushed over to the vampire and impale his chest. At that same moment, the vampire died and was reduced to ashes.
''[*Breathing heavily*] Phew! That was a close call," said Lekiel, being relieved.
"Leakiel! Are you okay over there?" Garlah asked while staking two other vampires.
"Yup! Yeah! I'm doing great! Whosoever saved me from that bite. Thanks," said Leakiel, panting after staking the vampire that tried to kill him.
Layli, after saving Leakiel, replied, "What are friends for?" After delivering those words, a vampire unexpectedly jumped on her, knocking her to the ground. Her crossbow dropped out of her hand as she struggled to avoid being bitten by the female vampire. Within moments of fighting against the vampire who was out to murder her, she reached for her stake and impaled the creature in the chest. The female vampire's eyes widened in defeat, and she immediately became ashes on Layli.
Meanwhile, a sudden approached of two other vampires, using their vamp speed to rushed towards Leakiel, but unfortunately was staked by Leakiel swift counter attack.
"Damn! They're so desperate for my blood!'' exclaimed Leakiel looking at the vampires ashes on the ground.
The fight grew intensively, as Talbestion observed the vampire hunters fighting off his covens.
"I'm impressed. The booster really does well in matching our power. But then I wonder, will it last?" Talbestion thinking to himself.
After hours had passed. All 14 vampires had died, leaving only ashes wafting through the open forest.
[*Panting*]
Largen, Leakiel, Layli and Garlah became tired after the long fight, leaving only Talbestion, standing alone menacingly.
"Well, I must say that you did quite well. Congratulations," Talbestion exclaimed.
Suddenly, Largen and his team all decided to go after Talbestion to kill him.
But, just as they were about to land the first hit on him, everything slowed. Talbestion stared at them lethally and chuckled as he quickly perceived his opponent first strike through his super vision.
"Nuh-uh-uh. Who told you that you could actually lay a hand on me?" said Talbestion as he instantly turned into a swarm of bats, flying into the air at 14 feet above, then immediately reformed with himself and landed with a fist to the ground.
With an amazing impact on the earth, Talbestion unleashed a red aura from his right hand, knocking the vampire hunters back and rendering them half unconscious.
"[*Bursting into laughter*] You people are such fools! I tell you! You think that a superhuman ability is a match to my power?! Well, you might rethink that!" Exclaimed Talbestion, feeling exceptionally confident in himself.
Largen that was laid on the ground, regained his full consciousness, turned to Garlah and immediately headed towards her aid.
"Oh, my, the leader running in panic to check on his team! Now that's what I wanna see, fear!" stated Talbestion in a crazy tone.
"Garlah!" exclaimed Largen as he reached and kneel down beside her and continued. "Garlah, Garlah, listen to me," said Largen.
"Augh, what happened?" replied Garlah, regaining her consciousness, but still feeling pain from the impact.
"Well, we've just got knocked down by the vampire's counter attack. But...don't worry, I'll take care of him," said Largen.
"What-what do you mean by going on your own?" Garlah inquired.
Largen became silent for a second, looked away, then looked back at her and said in discreet tone, ''All I need you to do is to just do me a favor in taking the others to safety, can you do that?''
***********
"Oh well, I'll just wait here while you hunters finish saying your goodbyes. It's rather an enthralling show for me,'' Talbestion replied, smiling with his fangs and standing 12 feet away from them.
After Talbestion had made his statement. Largen disregard his speech and continued to convince Garlah to retreat with the others and leave him behind.
"Largen, why are saying these things to me? Don't... tell me that you're gonna sacrifice yourself for our sake?'' Garlah asked in concern.
In the meanwhile of Largen having a conversation with Garlah. Layli and Leakiel, both regained consciousness after the impact and begin to hold their heads by the injury.
"Damn it, that hurt!" said Leakiel, as he started to turn looking for the others if they're okay.
He noticed that Largen his leader aiding Garlah, so he looked to find Layli in making sure of her recovery.
After finding Layli, he exclaimed, ''Hey Layli are you doing okay over there?!''
"Ye-yeah, I'm doing fine, just never expected to get a impact like that...Ouch! Damn it!," replied Layli as she realized her right arm was twisted after the fall.
"You seem be really hurt, let help," said Leakiel as he got up from the ground and limped over to her with minor sprain ankle.
"Yeah, but it's something that can be handle, ouch-ouch..augh," replied Layli, holding her broken arm to ease her pain.
Within the moment of Leakiel heading over to aid Layli. Largen and Garlah where continue there conversation.
"...Garlah, what do you think leader is for? They're are the ones who is responsible in protecting those who come along with him, and that comes to in taking drastic decision when things get tough,'' Largen exlplained.
"Largen, it...don't have to be like this. We could take him on together,'' replied Garlah.
In the midst of Largen talking to Garlah, Talbestion made an announcement of him getting impatient.
"Okay, are you done with you goodbyes?! Because right now, it's getting a little distasteful and I'm starving! Tell you what, I'm gonna count to 10 as a sort of kindness and then. You are all dead,'' Exclaimed Talbestion.
Largen, abruptly looked down on the ground, feeling annoyed by Talbestion. After that few second of gazing at the ground, he looked back to Garlah and said,'' We don't have much time. I need you to go and help Layli, and Leakiel to get out of here. Meanwhile I will use the power which is known to cause chaos.''
"One!...Two!'' exclaimed Talbestion counting down while waiting.
"No! It is dangerous. Anything but that monstrosity,'' said Garlah in concern.
"Garlah! This is a command; go help them get out of here! The decision I've made is final, and just to make it clear. You have no... say in this situation. Now, go and leave me here with this blood bat," replied Largen in a harsh tone.
"Oh, I can smell the savory blood from a far, just by the cause of your immense fear!...Eight!,'' Exclaimed Talbestion.
"O...okay then, I'll do as you command...sir," Garlah murmured despondently, as she stood up and dashed over to Leakiel and Layli to help them get away.
"Thank you. Your understanding is greatly appreciated,'' replied Largen. Hanging down his head, feeling sorry for what he just said to Garlah. But at the same time it was for her own good.
Talbestion, noticing that one of Largen members is hurrying over to aid the rest.
"Wait? What's this? They are running away? I can't let that happen. The feast has now begun!'' said Talbestion as he begin to laugh.
"Talbestion! Your fight is with you and me!" Exclaimed Largen with a serious tone, getting up from where he kneel down beside Garlah.
"Hahah! Wow! Suddenly, out of nowhere, you think you have the chance to fight me? I wonder? If that hit on the head really had you blurting stupidity, right now?" Talbestion inquired.
"Did I stutter, or did you not understand what I was saying? Let me say it another way. Your self-indulgent will lead to a terrifying death, caused by me—" replied Largen with a cold look.
"Do you not hear yourself? because I'm starting to realize you need to remember who you are. Mortal human! Grrraah!'' replied Talbestion, dashing towards Largen and violently pushing him in the chest with his right palm. Within that same time, Largen had fallen 10 feet to the ground, spitting a few drops of blood after his rib cage had fractured.
"Are you starting to grasp how vulnerable you are as a human? Because the first shove I gave you wasn't so hard! Talbestion exclaimed as he walked closer Largen, who lay half unconscious on the grass.
Layli that was limping along with Garlah and Leakiel. Heard the sound from 25 feet away, she quickly turn around and saw Largen on the ground, while the vampire walking to his location.
"Largen! Nooo!'' shouted Layli, seeing that her leader is hurt.
Garlah and Leakiel instantly held her back when she attempted to run back to help him.
''Let go of me! Why are you allowing this to happen to him?!'' Layli asked, distressed.
"It is his own choice in doing this, Layli! I tried to persuade him the same, but he told me he had already made up his mind. Layli, there is nothing we can do right now except to respect his wishes,'' responded Garlah.
"Garlah is correct; she had already told us about this. So, there is no reason to try to convince him, or to save him," stated Leakiel, echoing Garlah's statement
"First, that creature took our two closest comrades, and now...our leader. He will undoubtedly pay for this someday; mark my words, he will die a horrible death,'' Layli remarked angrily.
"And it will, believe me. It sure will happen," answered Leakiel.
"Okay...let's move before he comes after us," said Garlah, holding Layli close by her side and guiding her away from the glade.
Leakiel followed along with them as well.
"Largen, please come back safe to us and as yourself,'' said Garlah having an internal monologue, leaving Largen behind with the vampire leader viceroy.
