"How long do you wanna keep training? It's enough!" Togiri yelled.
"I will train until I can't anymore." @This idiot will kill himself!@
'Seems like it.' Togiri sighed. "Don't force me to knock you out!"
"Try me!"
Togiri took out a familiar-looking syringe and quickly appeared behind Fang, injecting him with it.
Fang could hardly react as he was on the brink of collapse. His clothes were drenched in sweat, and he had massive eye bags.
"Sigh~ how long will he keep this up? It's been two weeks already. It's like he's possessed by a demon. Not that I don't understand how he feels."
@In the beginning, you were even worse than him. I never understood how a loser like you, without discipline, almost died multiple times because of training. How weak do you need to be?@
Togiri clenched his fist, a vein on his head throbbing. His supressed emotions nearly broke out.
Every day, every hour, and every single waking minute, he was reminded or replayed the tragic memories of his family and friends being brutally murdered and himself getting killed powerlessly, without being able to retaliate.
His mental strength was unbelievably strong. He endured a vast array of emotions, from grief, depression, helplessness, numbness, and suicidal thoughts to hate, rage, obsession, and much more.
These past few years forced him to develop excellent control over his emotions, but at the end of the day, he was human.
He wasn't a robot or an enlightened monk, but a shut in loser living life on his terms.
Over time, he learned to channel all this endless energy into training and working harder, but seeing Fang in a similar situation made his heart ache even more.
Togiri took a deep breath to calm down and then asked, "Do you have any ideas to help him?"
@You both should go to the waterpark. You both could recover physically and mentally, and it's boring to see you do the same thing every day. The only thing that changes are the books you are reading and your clothes@ said Seven eager.
"I agree, but the only reason you want to go there is because of girls, right? Can you even grow older? Your little boy voice is very annoying at times."
@I... don't know? I can upgrade!@ answered Seven unsure.
"Okay... Let's go tomorrow!"
---
The family had just finished their daily breakfast. The two little boys' parents were very concerned about one of their kids, but Togiri helped ease their worries by looking after Fang all the time.
Arthur and Julia thought Fang just lost in the Heaven's Arena. All four people living the household were busy.
Togiri and Arthur took on special customised and expensive request, while also working on new inventions and growing their business.
Julia was responsible for the funds and management of the new workers. The previously one man business of Arthur reached almost 50 people.
Fang the youngest was also busy with school and training. Previously he spent a lot of time outside eating a lot of superb food in well known restaurants.
While Togiri was a story reviewer Fang was a food reviewer and critique.
-----------
A night passed.
"Come on, Togiri, let's train!" said Fang, looking a little less tired than yesterday. He was forced by Togiri and his parents to eat at least breakfast together with them.
"No, we can't. I need your help with something."
"What?" Fang jumped up from his sit ups and his hands started trembling and his face became pale.
"We need to shadow someone dangerous in the waterpark," said Togiri, looking at Fang with a serious gaze.
Cold sweat broke out across Fangs forhead. ".....Okay," Fang agreed, worried, if history was about to repeat itsself.
-------
"Now don't forget. I will inform you when the target appears. You NEED TO BE RELAXED! We don't want our cover blown.
So act like always: try the water slides, talk to girls, and relax as if you could fall asleep. You can even fall asleep, and I'll wake you up when the target arrives," said Togiri, getting comfortable in his chair and reading a history book about natural disasters.
------
Togiri and Fang were laying on some chairs as the sun was slowly setting.
"It's been hours, and the target still isn't here? Be honest! Is the target the guy you made a deal with?" Fang was annoyed and couldn't relax in the slightest.
"No... This was a plan from Mom, Dad, and me. We wanted to help you recover and stop you from training, even if it's only for a few hours."
"Hmpf! Let's stop wasting time and let's go train!" The angry Fang stood up, quickly packed up his backpack, and was ready to leave.
"Come on, sit down, at least for a few minutes. Fang, I don't know how to help you, but I know how you feel. You don't care about eating or sleeping; you only want to train.
"I understand. I really do, but if you keep this up, then I will be the only one taking the Hunter exam. Don't you want to stop Kastriot? Don't you want to be there for our little future sibling?" Togiri said with a bitter smile. For the first time in the last two weeks, his words reached Fang.
"...E-.....Every time I close my eyes...
I see my arm getting cut off. I remember the pain and can only think about what if it was you, Mom, or Dad."
"Fang, you gain power when you need it, not when you want it. You also noticed, right? You didn't get stronger while training like a madman these past two weeks. It's about quality, not quantity. Also, you should use these feelings instead of carrying them around all the time."
Fang sat still for a few minutes while Togiri looked at him in silence.
"You are right... I will try to rest more properly and only use these feelings when I'm fighting and training, just like you." Then Fang's facial expressions eased up.
"Hehe. Sorry for worrying you all so much," said Fang, returning to his previous cheerful self. He looked once again like a regular little boy.
Togiri smiled at him. "Come on. Let's go home and meditate. Meditation is also a very important part of training."
Both stood up and slowly picked up their stuff from the chairs until they were suddenly interrupted.
"Excuse me?" A young voice interrupted their packing. A cute girl, seemingly the same age as them, smiled at Fang. Fang was staring at the girl as if he was hypnotized. "Are you okay?" asked the girl, laughing a bit.
'Uhu. Kids.' Togiri had a big smile on his face, watching Fang act love-struck.
"Huh? Yeah," Fang broke out of his trance. Lowering his head in embarrassment.
"That's good," smiled the girl. She stroked some of her blonde hair behind her ear and blinked many times, emphasizing her giant, beautiful blue eyes. "Wow... huh?"
"Do you know me?" asked Fang, suspiciously.
"Of course, and I also know your friend. You are the Fearless Fang, and the Tenacious Togiri." Togiri's face changed from laughing to embarrassment.
"You are famous in the whole city and Heaven's Arena. Can I get an autograph? Please~!" asked the little girl with big, whimpering dog eyes.
@Tenacious Togiri BAHAHAHAH@@Seven exploded with laughter.
"Sure?" Fang looked at Togiri, and both wrote their names on a piece of paper. "Thank you!" The girl then ran away to her friends, and a group of girls could be heard screaming in excitement.
"Fearless Fang, you should have asked for her number. Hahahah," chuckled Togiri.
"Shut up," Fang said, his face red with embarrassment as he flicked Togiri with his towel.
"AH, take this revenge!" Togiri did the same as Fang. Both were laughing and having fun again.
