It was morning when both their alarms rang at 7 am. In their respective rooms, Aurora and Kane woke up. Aurora rubbed her eyes, her thoughts lingering on the previous night's argument. She sighed, knowing she needed to apologize.
Kane, on the other hand, laid staring at the ceiling for a moment, reflecting on his own decision to apologize. He couldn't afford to let their disagreements escalate.
As they both got ready for the day, each prepared to face the aftermath of their confrontation, hoping to mend the rift and find common ground.
Aurora stepped out of her room, hesitating briefly before heading to the kitchen. She started making coffee, her mind rehearsing what she wanted to say. Kane emerged from his room shortly after, looking slightly more composed than the night before.
"Morning," Aurora said, glancing up at him.
"Morning," Kane replied, a bit stiffly.
