[The Precinct]
Detective Roberts was reading the file he'd received from the morning briefing. He leaned back in his chair, flipping through the pages with a furrowed brow.
"This bastard is getting arrogant," he muttered to himself, eyes scanning the grim details. "Taking these women in broad daylight... He's not even scared of getting caught."
As he paged through the file, a mix of anger and disbelief crossed his face.
"Just how messed up do you need to be to do this to another human being?" Roberts wondered aloud. "Does he get off on this or something?"
His thoughts darkened as he continued reading, his determination to catch the perpetrator growing stronger with the passing minute.
With a deep sigh, he continued, "No criminal is perfect. They all slip up somehow, make a mistake. My job is to find that mistake and catch them."
