Chapter 19 - Unlock The Mystery!

Ezra's eyes sparkled.

"Ah, I might have just the thing. You see, I'm in need of an assistant to help me with my... let's call it 'research.' I've been collecting these curious items for years, and I'm looking for someone to help me uncover their secrets."

Elia's eyes lit up. "What kind of secrets?"

Ezra leaned in, a conspiratorial whisper escaping his lips.

"I've got items that can grant wishes, others that can reveal hidden truths... and some that can even bend time itself! But be warned: these items come with great responsibility. Are you up for the challenge?"

Elia's eyes widened with excitement as she listened to Ezra's words. She had always been fascinated by the mysterious and the unknown, and the prospect of working with magical items that could grant wishes, reveal hidden truths, and manipulate time was too enticing to resist. She Thought if she worked here she would also wish for getting back her throne. So, she agreed quickly.

"I'm in," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"When do I start?"

Ezra smiled, his eyes twinkling with approval.

"Excellent choice! I'll give you a trial task to prove yourself worthy of this position. Follow me."

He led Elia and Lina, Xia to a small, dimly lit room at the back of the shop. The air was thick with the scent of old parchment and dust.

"Your task is to find the missing page from an ancient tome,"

Ezra said, his voice serious. "The page contains a crucial spell that can unlock the secrets of one of my most powerful items. But be warned, the page is hidden in a place where few dare to tread, and you'll need all your wits about you to retrieve it."

Lina and Xia exchanged a nervous glance, but Elia's determination only grew. She accepted the challenge, and Ezra handed her a small, intricately carved box.

"This contains a map that will lead you to the page," he said. "But remember, you're not just looking for any page – you're looking for the one that holds the key to unlocking the secrets of my shop."

At the same morning Aren heads out to the Lancaster Kingdom with his buddies. They choose to come to the South Heart Village through the main gate. So they headed out to the Blackwood castle.

Aren led the way. He was in front of everyone. Stuart rushed to Aren and whispered,

"MY Boy, What's so hurried? She is fine. After all she is a princess and also to be the new King. She can protect herself."

Stuart teases Aren and wink his right eye. And Stuart surpassed Aren and led the way.

Aren somehow did not get mad at him, beside he felt shy and his face turned red.

" What's happening to me? Why was I blushed? Why can I not resist my feelings towards her? Somehow I want to see her badly and hold her in my arms. Aren "Come back to your senses, come back to reality."

Aren mumbled to himself. Aren did not understand his own feelings for Elia. He tries to control his emotions. After some hours they reached the village. Everyone disguised themself and went to the village market to find an inn to stay here for a while. And they head toward the guild to find a job as they are now advancers.

Meanwhile, As Elia took the box, she felt a strange sensation – as if the box was humming with magic. She opened it, and a small piece of parchment slipped out, bearing a cryptic message:

"Beneath the wings of silence,

Seek the whispers of the past.

In shadows cast by moonlight bright,

Find the page that holds the truth in wait."

Elia's eyes scanned the parchment, trying to decipher the meaning behind the cryptic message. She looked up at Lina and Xia, who were watching her with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"I think we need to figure out what this message means," Elia said, her mind racing with possibilities.

"It mentions 'wings of silence,' 'whispers of the past,' and 'moonlight bright.' It's like a puzzle, but what does it have to do with finding the missing page?"

Xia, the researcher, pulled out a small notebook and began scribbling notes.

"Maybe 'wings of silence' refers to a specific location? And 'whispers of the past' could be a reference to an event or person from history?"

Lina, meanwhile, was examining the box more closely.

"This box feels... odd. It's like it's imbued with magic or something. I think I might be able to sense the magic in it. And here are the same symbols as your room, Tina."

Elia's eyes lit up.

"That's it! If the box is magical, maybe it can help us decipher the message. Let's try using it to get a better sense of what we're looking for."

Ezra, who had been watching them with interest, nodded. "Ah, yes, the box is indeed enchanted. It can help you tap into the magic that lies within. But be warned, the magic comes at a cost. You'll need to pay attention to your own desires and intentions, lest you get caught in its web."

With Ezra's warning ringing in their ears, Elia, Lina, and Xia decided to use the box to gain a deeper understanding of the message. As they held the box and focused their thoughts, they felt a strange energy building up inside.

Suddenly, visions began to flash before their eyes – images of ancient battles, long-forgotten rituals, and whispers of secrets whispered in dark alleys. The visions were fleeting, but they left Elia and her friends with a sense of direction.

"We need to go to the old windmill on the outskirts of town,

" Elia said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It's where we'll find the missing page."

But as they turned to leave, they realised that Ezra was nowhere to be found. The shop was empty, except for a small note on the counter:

"Remember, my young friends: magic comes at a price. Be prepared to pay for it."

Elia, Lina, and Xia exchanged a nervous glance. They had been so caught up in the excitement of the quest that they hadn't even noticed Ezra disappear. Now, the note on the counter seemed to echo his words:

"Magic comes at a price." What did he mean?

"To be continued

Stay tuned"
