The helicopter landed, scattering snow particles around the area as its rotors whirred to a stop. Ling gave a swift hand signal. "Move out, squad!" she commanded.
The eight men disembarked, wearing all white, each carrying modern machine guns and wearing military helmets with bulletproof vests on their backs, emblazoned with a bold "EA" in black. They fanned out, moving in a trained, hunched fashion, their guns at the ready.
Ling led the team. As her eyes fixed on the fortress through the sniper scope she was carrying.
She raised a hand, signaling them to hold their positions. One of the men, carrying a suitcase, bent down and placed it on the snow. He opened it, and an advanced air drone emerged, zooming further into the snowy terrain.
The men continued their advance, two remaining behind to operate the drone and provide cover fire. One controlled the drone through the computer suitcase, while the other lay flat on the ground, rifle at the ready.
The others continued forward, lings eyes scanning the surroundings. She raised her hand, signaling the men to once again hold their positions.
They stopped at a distance, behind a large rock covered in snow. Ling used this as her cover, lying flat and setting her rifle in position on a hole in the uplifted earthsnow.
One of the others joined her behind the structure, carrying binoculars in one hand and holding his rifle to his side. He knelt and looked through the binoculars, scanning the fortress for any signs of danger.
The remaining four men continued advancing forward, their movements swift and precise. They fanned out, taking cover behind nearby rocks and snowbanks, their guns trained on the fortress.
Ling lay flat on the snow behind the rock, her body blending into the winter landscape. She raised her sniper rifle, and looked into its scope, with a deep breath, she concentrated her eyesight on the telescope, her gaze piercing through the lens.
Her eyes locked onto the fortress, every detail magnified and crystal clear. She adjusted the scope's zoom and focus, her vision zooming in on specific points on the wall. The stone texture all came into sharp relief. Her finger resting lightly on the trigger, ready to strike at a moment's notice.
Morgan watching everything play out, she saw how coordinated the men were, how they moved stealthily and fast. Amazed and also amused, "these people are experts" she said, "well done, well done" as her vision scanned through the men at a distance, taking in their specific locations, her eyes fell on the lady with a rifle. She moved at the front, giving silent signal commands to the others, "she must be their leader" she continued to watch as they all positioned themselves to take cover behind rocks. Morgan's face remained indifferent, her gaze shifted to the helicopter which was still at a distance, far from the people, its rotors now still, having already landed and long fallen silent.
Morgan's smiled as she anticipated the team's reaction to her next move. "Let's see what they'll do when their ship has been destroyed," she said to herself. Her grip on the white spear tightening with a faint creaking sound.
She positioned herself like an Olympic spear thrower, her free arm stretched forward and her spear arm cocked back, ready to unleash the weapon.
Her eyes locked onto the helicopter, still hundreds of kilometers away, her face set in fierce concentration. "Shhhhhh" She exhaled slowly, her breath misting in the cold air, her fangs gleamed.
Then, in one swift motion, she hurled the spear with incredible force. The weapon shot forward, breaking the sound barrier with a deafening "BOOM" that echoed through the landscape. The spear seemed to blur as it hurtled towards its target, As it landed, its velocity and gravity combining in a devastating explosion that obliterated the helicopter and decimated everything within a 20-meter radius.
