Ling's body jerked at the loud sound and explosions, her heart racing with a mix of fear and adrenaline. "Come in pilot, come in pilot!" she tried to reach the pilot, clinging to the hope that it wasn't their helicopter and pilot that had been obliterated.
As her comms rang, she gritted her teeth in anger, speaking curtly, "Agent Ling here. We've lost our pilot and helicopter. Something's definitely wrong."
Back at the EA base, Flint was surprised, while Carter examined his computer screen, showing a digital radar map. "Boss, something weird caused that explosion. It came from the fortress's direction, like a very fast missile."
Flint tried to regain control of the situation, ordering, "Get me visuals of this place now. Bring up the drone's live feed."
Ling was still shaken from the sudden explosions, her eyes scanning the fortress, when she spotted something impossible - a woman with white hair standing high up on the walls, defying the harsh environment. The woman's imposing figure made her look like a "goddess, no, a demon," Ling thought, her mind racing.
The woman's long white hair flowed in the wind like a river of silk, her eyes gleaming with an otherworldly red intensity. She stood tall, her presence commanding and formidable, as if she ruled over the fortress and its surroundings.
As Ling looked at the woman through her scope, now pointed at her head and face, their eyes met. The woman looked directly at ling. "What.." ling was shocked, she was suddenly afraid, her body moved on its own, her fingers tightening on the grip of the sniper trigger. She pulled the trigger by impulse, and the rifle fired with a "BANG"
Morgan dodged the bullet with ease, her head tilting slightly as she watched the projectile zoom past her in slow motion. She gazed at Ling, her eyes narrowing as she took in the sniper's shocked expression.
"She's not human," Ling thought, her mind racing with the implications. Her comms device crackled to life, Flint's voice urgent. "Agent Ling, come in! Who gave you authorization to shoot?"
But Ling's attention remained fixed on Morgan, her finger frozen on the trigger. The mysterious woman's gaze never wavered, her eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.
Morgan's voice was low, her face still indifferent. Her words dripping with disdain. "I'm quite disappointed. If that's all they've got, this was a waste of time." Her gaze swept the snowy fields, her expression a mask of boredom. "They're no threat at all."
Morgan's imbued her body with the power of her bloodline fuel by her vampire essence.
Only a select few vampires had the ability to manipulate various bloodlines, and Morgan was one of them. Her's was like teleportation, allowing her to traverse through space as far as her eyes could see.
"Hmm, let's see..." Morgan murmured, her eyes glinting with curiosity. Then, in an instant, her body blurred, her form disappearing from the tower walls . The wind whispered through the silence, the only sign of her faded presence.
