Kalix Noah's POV
I didn't open my eyes quickly as soon as I noticed that Kassandra was awake. She slowly takes my palm off her hand.
I also hear the soft noise from her movements as she gets up from the bed. Her stamina is no joke. She literally got it without making any sound!
I knew she'd be tiptoeing as she sneaked out of the room. I open my eyes and sit straight. I look around and my forehead wrinkles.
My eyes dilated when I saw what she did. She took the blanket from her bed and went to my mother and father.
I stood up and watched as my wife slowly covered my parents, who are not awake yet. I sneakily walk and cover her lips from behind.
"Thank you…" I whispered in her ears.
She turned around and pushed me a bit. She's covering her ears while looking at me, flustered dearly. I laugh softly.
"I think you already have the energy. Would you like to join me for breakfast? Our wedding night isn't enjoyable, right?"
I speak softly and make sure that my parents won't wake up because of our voice. I grab her heels and kneel in front of her.
I held her feet and noticed that the color of her dress was different. I put them on her. I stood up and faced her.
"Let's go? My parents need their privacy," I stated.
She looks at my hand. Instead of taking it, she bows her head and walks away first. Kassandra's pace was also faster as if she didn't want me to catch her.
As soon as I closed the door, I walked faster and caught her pace. She takes her steps faster. What the hell is she doing?! I grab her elbow.
"What is wrong with you?! Act properly!" I roared.
She looks at my hand. She's about to shove my palm away when I hold her closer. "Are you insane, huh? You are still wounded, but you're walking too fast." I halt.
"Your wound will open up if you continue running away from me. Wait, why are you running away from me?!" I inquired. Her actions were making me confused! She sighed and met my gaze.
"Because I'm embarrassed, okay? Your Majesty, I think it's better for you to eat your breakfast alone. I'll take my leave," Kassandra says, bowing her head lightly.
I let go of her and watched as she walked away from me. My confidant shows himself by being hidden behind one of the pillars.
"Stop hiding it, Enrique. I know you're about to laugh," I stated.
He coughed and stood straight. "I wouldn't laugh at you, Your Majesty," he replied. My jaw clenched. Such a great way to start my morning. I glared at my confidant.
"You will be working at me until one in the morning!" I roared.
I walked forward and didn't care if his jaw dropped because of what I said. I tried to follow her, but her movements were too fast.
The next thing I heard were the footsteps of the horse leaving the palace. The only thing I saw was her silhouette at the gate. I suddenly heard mocking laughter. It was my fifth and third brother.
"You better go back to your little, tiny palace. It looks like your wedding night is nothing but bloody thunder. You only bring bad luck to people, Noah. No matter where you are," big brother Avion mutters. My jaw clenched.
That hit me. They keep on making me remember that I have a jinx with them. I was about to speak when we heard the sound of a horse's feet. My wife came back.
She pulled the leash off and stopped in front of us. She gave me her hand while looking me in the eyes.
"I forgot to bring my greatest treasure. Let's go, Your Majesty?" she says.
The way she looked at me was gentle and sweet. For some reason, I held her hand. I pulled her down and caught her.
I glared at her. "My goodness. You're being stubborn again. Your wound is bleeding!" I roared.
She looks at her lower half. "I know. But you are more important than this pain. Anyway, can we go home? I really need to change the dressing of my wound," she says. I sighed.
I look at my siblings. "We'll take our leave, crown prince, Prince Lukas. Enrique, take the carriage and drive her horse back to her mansion," I stated.
He nods and leaves first to get the carriage. We heard a commotion. It's mother who is running in our direction. My father and their confidant were running towards us.
"Where are you going, you two?" Mother asks.
She taps my hand. I put her down. I bowed my head while she made her curtsy. Mom turned pale when she saw her wound was bleeding again.
She grabs her hand right away and looks at her. "Call the kingdom's doctor!" Mom roars. My wife smiled and held her hand.
"It's okay, royal mother. I will take care of my wound. I just need to go home and check on the training of my soldiers. This wound is nothing. Rest assured," she added.
Mom sighed. My wife looks at me. I know she's asking for my help in explaining the situation to my mother.
"Mother, don't worry. The doctor in their army was a good one. I'll take care of her, okay? You must take a proper rest. As well as you, royal father," I remarked.
I held her hand and showed them that we'd be in great harmony. She looks at me and smiles after. The carriage arrived. We bow our heads. I opened the carriage for her.
"We'll go ahead, Mom and Dad," I stated. They both sighed and nodded. I get inside as soon as she gets in. Enrique closed the door.
We left in silence. My wife leans back on the seat and closes her eyes. She places her hand on her wound. I know she's in pain.
I held her head and let her lean on my shoulder. "You must rest, and there will be no training or work for you until your wound is fully healed. No discussion is allowed on this matter, Kassandra," I stated. She just groaned and nodded. I am glad that she agreed.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," she whispered.
After an hour, we arrived at her mansion. I never set foot in this place. The only people who came here were my mother, my father, and the trusted servants they assigned to take care of this place.
I look at her, and my eyes dilate when I notice that she's already unconscious. "Enrique! Open the door!" I roared.
The door was opened right away. I come out and look at my confidant. "Find Axel. He needs to check my wife's wound," I said.
He left as soon as he saw how worried I was. I get inside. "Where is her room?!" I ask. They all guided me towards her room. She looks unwell to me!
