Chapter 38 - What Changed?

Anna entered the dining hall, her mind still distracted after the conversation with the doctor. 

Even though she had appreciated the recommendation, she couldn't stop wondering who might have said she was having trouble sleeping. Everything seemed normal in her life, at least on the surface, and that unsettled her. 

But now, as she looked over the long tables filled with boys and girls talking and eating, she realized she couldn't see either Edrick or Leo anywhere. 

Anna let out a small sigh and, with nothing else to do, decided that maybe a walk around the grounds would do her some good. 

Sometimes the caretakers allowed the children to take walks around the mansion's grounds, giving them an excuse to escape the oppressive atmosphere of the orphanage for a while. 

With that idea in mind, Anna approached one of the caretakers and asked for permission.
