Yuna's eyes widened as she suddenly realized she had to submit her assignment before the class started. She had completely forgotten about it and her heart began to race as she thought about the potential consequences of not turning it in on time.
Together, they made their way to the teacher's room, determined to get Yuna's workbook turned in and put the ordeal behind them.
Fortunately, there was still a considerable amount of time before the lunch break ended and the class began, so she had a small window of opportunity to rectify the situation.
She hoped that the biology teacher, Mrs. Johnson, hadn't already graded all the assignments, and that her workbook wouldn't be noticeably late.
Yuna and one of her friends, who had accompanied her to the teacher's room, exchanged a nervous glance. They snuck into the room, trying to be as stealthy as possible, while the another friend stayed outside to keep watch, making sure no teachers were approaching.
The teachers were all out having lunch, except for a few workaholics who stayed behind to supervise the students or catch up on some work. Luckily, Mrs. Johnson wasn't one of them, and her desk was unattended.
Yuna's heart was still racing as she approached the desk, her eyes scanning the pile of workbooks and assignments. She cleverly placed her workbook underneath the ungraded ones, trying to blend it in and make it less noticeable.
She held her breath, hoping that Mrs. Johnson wouldn't notice the late submission, and that she would be able to get away with it. Then, she and her friends quickly left the office, trying to act nonchalant and casual, as if nothing had happened. They breathed a sigh of relief once they were safely out of the teacher's room, hoping that their quick thinking and sneaky move would go undetected.

Biology class soon began, and Mrs. Johnson walked in, followed by the class president, Jace, who was holding a stack of assignments. As they entered, Jace began distributing the workbooks to the students, and Mrs. Johnson started speaking.
"Before the weekend break, I gave you all an exercise to try out, but very few of you were able to score good marks on it," Mrs. Johnson began, pushing back the rim of her glasses. "Only Ana, Jace, Kaelyn, and Norman were able to score an average of 80 on the exercise," she noted, scanning the room.
Yuna's heart sank as she realized she hadn't done well her assignment.
"Oh, I almost forgot...Yuna...." Mrs. Johnson said, her eyes fixed on Yuna.
"Yes, ma'am?" Yuna replied hesitantly, her mind racing. 'Oh no! Does she know?' she thought.
"Please stand up," Mrs. Johnson ordered, a hint of a smile on her face.
Reluctantly, Yuna stood up, her eyes fixed on her friends, who looked at her with a mix of confusion and concern. She was in trouble, and she knew it.
But then, something unexpected happened.
"Yuna here...was the only one to score a total of 95 on the exercise," Mrs. Johnson finally said, a warm smile spreading across her face.
A bewildered Yuna stared in disbelief, her eyes wide with shock. Everyone in the class looked at her in astonishment, and then, with Mrs. Johnson's nod, they began to applaud. Yuna's face flushed with surprise as she took her seat, still trying to process what had just happened. She had gone from almost being in trouble to being the star of the class, all in a matter of seconds.
