The room fell silent as the weight of Gojo's words settled in. Charles, Hank, and the others considered the implications of what he had said. Hank pondered the word "meta-human" before sighing and saying, "Well, I do agree with you, my boy, but it'll be hard for people to accept the new term with how deep-rooted the word 'mutant' already is."
Logan interjected, "Humans wouldn't respond to that at all, kid. I've lived long enough to know that well."
Charles added, "The term 'meta-human' is quite unique and has a lot of merit, but the label 'mutant' has already been put in place, and it will take a long while before we can change it again."
Gojo looked at them with his radiant blue eyes before closing them and saying, "Oh well, but that is what I want to be referred to as from now on, so please do keep that in mind."
Ororo nodded, "Noted."
The group left the office and began a tour around the inner part of the mansion. They passed by various rooms and hallways, each filled with students engaged in different activities.
They continued their tour, encountering other X-Men characters along the way. Each interaction was filled with curiosity and questions about Gojo's abilities and his past. Finally, they reached the door leading to the Danger Room. Logan opened the door as the Professor said, "Yes, we are interested in your mutation as well."
Scott asked, "How did you awaken your powers, Gojo?"
Gojo replied, "It was a gradual process. I discovered my abilities in my early teens and have been honing them ever since."
Jean inquired, "What exactly are your powers?"
Gojo hesitated for a moment, considering whether to reveal all his abilities. 'They don't need to know about my rejection and domain powers just yet,' he thought. 'Better to keep some cards close to the chest.' He answered, "I have telepathy, teleportation, and telekinesis."
Hank was astonished, "Astounding! The most we've ever encountered is two mutations, but you have three! That is quite rare, my boy."
Ororo added, "Yes, that is quite an impressive set."
Jean asked, "How did you manage your telepathy?"
Gojo thought, 'Oh yeah, she can't completely control her powers yet, plus she suffers from an overload of thoughts before she got her powers somewhat under control.' He said, "Well, I have impressive control over my psychic powers by completely shutting everything off and only focusing on what is around me, but not more than that. I focus on the surface of things and don't dig too deep. I developed my mind space in such a way that I can process an enormous amount of information and not get overwhelmed."
The Professor chimed in, "Ah yes, your mental space. That is quite impressive for a mind to have a representation of space inside it and one capable enough to resist me with Cerebro on."
The rest of the students, apart from Scott and Jean, were shocked because they knew how powerful the Professor was with Cerebro on, capable of blanketing the entire planet with his mind. Rogue asked, "How is that possible?"
Charles replied, "Actually, I wasn't able to get in." He looked at Gojo and continued, "You forcefully pulled my mind inside your mental space, didn't you?"
Gojo nodded, "Yes, I felt a telepathic presence trying to come in contact with me." He paused, looking at Jean. "Just like you have been trying this whole time to get into my mind."
The others looked at her with Rogue saying, "Seriously, Jeanie?"
Charles said, "Jean…What have I told you about entering people's minds without their permission?"
"Sorry, Professor." She gave Gojo an apologetic look, which he accepted somewhat begrudgingly. Jean couldn't help but stare at the teen in front of her while thinking, 'It's so quiet.' She was referring to his mind.
Gojo pointed and said, "Your telepathic powers wouldn't work on me unless I give you permission."
Logan thought, 'So he's immune to telepathy.'
Hank spoke out loud, "Telepathic immunity? My God, my boy, you are getting more and more interesting. But I wonder, what more can you do?"
Gojo looked at the Danger Room before thinking, 'Hmm, I wonder if I can gauge how much I have improved with their training room.' He looked at them with a smile and his eyes gleamed with excitement. "There is something I'd like to test out."
_______
The X-Men gathered in the training room, each wearing their outfits. The uniforms were sleek and functional, combining modern tactical elements with the classic design. Evan, the nephew of Ororo, stood among them in his new outfit, ready to join the team.
Gojo stood silently, observing them with an impassive face as he mentally cataloged their abilities and potential, ' hmm, let's see so we have Scott Summers the Cyclops, His optic blasts were incredibly powerful, capable of destroying virtually anything in their path and in the comics it's said to be able to blast through the moon. With further training, Scott could master and control his powers properly, enhancing both his offensive and defensive capabilities.' Gojo's eyes shifted to the next person.
'Kitty Pryde the Shadowcat, her ability to phase through solid matter is invaluable. She could become an expert in espionage and sabotage, as well as a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. Huh I bet fury would love to get his hands on her… To become his agent of course.' Gojo thought sheepishly before looking at the blue furry elf.
'Kurt Wagner Nightcrawler, teleportation and agility made him a versatile fighter. He had the potential to become one of the most effective stealth operatives and rescuers, again another person fury would like to have as his agent.'
'Jubilation Lee Jubilee, her pyrotechnic energy blasts has an untapped potential. With proper guidance, she could harness her powers for both large-scale attacks and energy manipulation, well I don't really know much about her powers except that she's a firecracker hehehehe.'
'Rogue, Her ability to absorb others' powers and memories could be honed for tactical versatility. Training could help her control this ability better, allowing her to selectively use absorbed powers. Still I wonder how her power will work against me.'
'Evan Daniels Spyke, Evan's ability to project bone spikes from his body kinda like kimimaro from Naruto, provided both offensive and defensive capabilities. Mastery of his powers could make him a formidable close-quarters combatant.'
Bobby Drake Iceman, his cryokinetic abilities makes him one of the most powerful mutants. His potential to manipulate ice and cold could be developed into an almost unlimited arsenal of abilities. Plus he's got the potential of an omega.'
'Ororo Munroe Storm, Ororo's weather manipulation was both destructive and beneficial. With deeper understanding and control, she could become a literal force of nature, capable of altering climates and wielding weather as a weapon. Wasn't there a comic where she literally became a god and could manipulate the weather of the entire planet???' Gojo ponders trying to remember where he saw that from before dismissing his thoughts for the final member and of the team.
'Jean Grey, Her telepathy and telekinesis are already impressive, but her problem lays with her emotional state.' Gojo couldn't help but wonder about the dormant power within her. The Phoenix.
Gojo's thoughts narrowed as he focused on Jean. 'The Phoenix. A cosmic entity of destruction and rebirth. If it awakens, it could either be our greatest ally or our worst enemy. How much does she know or has dumbuldore locked away her memories in this reality as well? How much can she control?' He studied her, noting the potential she had, both terrifying and awe-inspiring. 'I'll need to keep a close eye on her. One wrong step, and she could obliterate everything.'
"Alright, everyone," Professor Xavier's voice broke the silence. "Today, we will see how well you can work together and adapt to unexpected challenges. Gojo, would you like to join us?"
Gojo smirked, "I'm curious to see what you've got."
The team looked at each other with anticipation. The training session was about to begin, and they were ready to prove themselves.
