Scott's visor glistened as he prepared to fire another beam, but Gojo was much faster than he was. Shifting his weight as he levitated a little, Gojo spun to kick Scott at the back of his neck brutally. The wind was knocked straight out of him along with spittle as Gojo's kick landed. Scott's body bounced against the floor from the force of the kick, groaning in intense pain, his nose broken from the collision.
"Sorry about that, bro," Gojo winced, seeing how Scott's nose started to bleed on the floor. Suddenly, the others exploded into action. Bobby shot ice spikes at him, causing Gojo to jump back. He smelled sulfur and heard a low bamf behind him, signifying Kurt teleporting as he tried to wrap his legs around Gojo and lock his arm. Kurt succeeded, and Wolverine moved forward, trying to snatch the shades on Gojo's chest. As his fingers were inches away, Gojo muttered, "Dismantle," causing a slash to strike Logan, leaving a diagonal gash from his shoulder to his hip, tearing his outfit and revealing his hairy chest before launching him to the wall.
Gojo reversed Kurt's hold, teleporting from his grip and appearing behind him. Gripping Kurt's tail, he spun and launched him at Scott, who was slowly getting up. As his feet touched the ground, Gojo felt a pair of hands grip his legs and try to drag them under. Kitty's face slowly emerged from the ground, rooting him into place. "Jean, now!"
He stared amusedly as Jean outstretched her hand, feeling a powerful pull from his midsection. The shades hurled straight towards Jean.
Kitty smirked. She thought back to how Gojo had dispatched the rest of the team effortlessly. Seeing this, she, Jean, and Rogue came up with the idea to get his shades, which worked. However, Kitty suddenly felt a shift in gravity. A massive pressure descended on her as Gojo's telekinetic might poured out of him like a broken dam, spreading around like a tsunami.
Gojo's eyes flashed cold blue. 'Let's test this body's pure strength, shall we?' he thought, and flexed.
Boom!
Kitty had to turn herself intangible as Gojo, in a show of pure strength and speed, blew apart the metal floor and dashed towards the hurling shades. Jean shouted, "Kurt, Bobby, get that shade NOW!" Gojo frowned as Kurt teleported near the shade while Bobby created an ice wall around him to trap him. Gojo barreled right through the ice wall as if it were wet paper with his pure physical strength.
He increased his speed further, destroying the floor as his figure blurred towards Kurt. Jean watched as Gojo's electric blue eyes shone before he punched Kurt away. Grabbing the shade midair, he spun himself, pushing his palms outward, and a telekinetic wave struck Jean with such force that her body was flung away. Jean let out a silent scream, crumbling unconscious to the ground.
"Jean!" Bobby shouted as he watched her fall. Kurt teleported beside Gojo, intent on knocking him out with Bobby close behind, forming an ice hammer. Gojo dodged while placing his hand in front of Bobby's face, unleashing a telekinetic wave that launched him into the wall. Grabbing Kurt's neck, Gojo gazed into the mutant's eyes before telepathically commanding, "Sleep."
Kurt's mind clouded, an irresistible fatigue overcoming him. Gojo gently lowered the snoring mutant to the ground. He grinned as he turned towards the remaining six. "Who's next?"
Jubilee and Evan rushed towards him. Bones sprouted from Evan's body, which he fired at Gojo while Jubilee shot globs of energy that detonated in bright fireworks, temporarily blinding him. The bones and fireworks were a distraction for Logan to attack from behind. Just as Logan's adamantium claws were about to touch him, Gojo teleported behind him and used "Cleave," creating an X on his back. Logan screamed before Gojo punched him with a telekinetically coated fist at the back of his head, releasing the build-up of kinetic energy.
Gojo moved to avoid bone spikes, appearing close to Evan. He slammed his hand into Evan's neck, causing him to gasp at the sudden loss of oxygen before crumpling down as Gojo chopped him at the back of his neck. Seeing this, Jubilee tried to attack again but was overwhelmed as Gojo used his telepathy to shut her mind down.
All that remained were Kitty, Rogue, and Storm.
Gojo suddenly jumped to his side as Kitty tried to grab him from under once more. "The same trick won't work on me again, Kitty." It was beginning to annoy him that he could not sense her in her intangible form. 'Hmm, wasn't the theory about her powers being her shifting out of the physical world and into another dimension in her intangible form? Sounds like a watered-down version of Obito Uchiha, if we're being honest,' he thought.
The next moment, he suddenly found himself encased in an ice block, restricting all his movements. Looking down, he saw Rogue, who said, "Got ya, sugah," in her silky Southern accent that Gojo was starting to really like as she and Kitty arose from the ground like ghosts.
Rogue raised her hand to touch Gojo. "Ah'll finish this quickly." She removed her glove. "This will only hurt for a second."
'This girl…' Gojo thought. She had absorbed Iceman's powers beforehand. Clever girl.
'Hoo, let's see if that truly works,' he thought as he did nothing and Rogue touched him. Everything went silent in anticipation before the remaining conscious members heard a laugh from Gojo and saw Rogue's confused look. She was unable to absorb him at all and felt empty. 'Impossible. He isn't hurt by my touch???' she thought, bewildered.
The scene changed to the Professor and Hank, who were equally surprised.
"Incredible. He's immune to not just telepathy but to Rogue's mutation as well," Charles said.
Hank theorized, "He might actually be immune to more than that."
A small yet powerful telekinetic burst erupted from Gojo, destroying the ice around him. Kitty and Rogue were launched into opposing ends of the room, knocked unconscious by the sheer force of his attack.
Gojo looked up at the last person, the floating form of Storm. "It's just me and you now, Ororo." The woman looked down at him impassively, her eyes shining white. She sent several small lightning bolts toward him. The bolts crashed harmlessly onto the telekinetic bubble that flared around him. Gojo chuckled, noting how lackluster her efforts seemed, as if she wasn't taking this seriously.
"I thought your powers extended beyond just lightning. The weather as a whole is your domain, so what was that just now?" Gojo inquired as he suddenly appeared behind Ororo. She swiped her hand, sending a gust of air toward him, which he matched with a greater force, telekinetically shoving her toward the ground.
He appeared in front of her, grabbing the hems of her uniform and throwing her straight toward the wall. She managed to save herself by using air to cushion her fall. Gojo teased in a joking voice, "How disappointing. All I'm seeing is a woman who is afraid of using her power."
The air turned static all of a sudden. Storm's eyes shone with power as she shoved her hand toward Gojo, directing a thunderstorm at him. Gojo simply smiled and teleported to the ceiling, hanging upside down while looking at Ororo. She launched an ice storm at him, and he pointed his palm downward, unleashing his telekinesis upon the wave, destroying it and forcing her to the ground along with the already unconscious team members.
