Chapter 35 - Chapter 35

It was a Saturday morning, and Gojo felt a rare sense of liberation now that final exams were over. As he woke up, his Snow White hair cascaded over his gem-like eyes, sparkling in the morning light. Feeling refreshed, he decided to start the day by making breakfast.

He got out of bed and used his telekinetic abilities to tidy up his room effortlessly. Clothes folded themselves and flew into drawers, the bed made itself, and the curtains opened to let in the sunlight. Gojo enjoyed the simplicity his powers brought to mundane tasks. 'This is so much better than doing it manually,' he thought.

Moving to the kitchen, he set about preparing breakfast. With a flick of his wrist, ingredients floated from the pantry to the counter. Eggs cracked themselves into a bowl, a whisk spun through them, and a frying pan heated up on the stove. He chopped vegetables and tossed them into the pan, all without lifting a finger. 'Cooking is much more fun this way,' he mused.

Gojo hummed softly to himself as he worked. As the smell of the omelet filled the kitchen, he realized he was out of milk. 'Huh, I'm out of milk...,' he thought. He picked up the empty carton and said, "Reject." Instantly, the carton filled with fresh milk. 'I love my powers,' he smiled to himself, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

With breakfast ready, he sat down to eat, savoring each bite. The omelet was perfect, and the milk complemented it nicely. After finishing his meal, he cleared the table with another wave of his hand, the dishes washing themselves in the sink.

Feeling content, Gojo decided to head over to the mansion. With a quick thought, he teleported, leaving his tidy apartment behind and appearing at the X-Mansion, ready for whatever the day might bring.

Gojo arrived at the mansion's dining room, materializing like a ghost from the netherworld with a smile on his face and a hand raised in greeting. He was surprised to find only Ororo, Logan, and Charles there. "Where are the others?" he asked.

Ororo replied, "They're already making their way to the danger room for their routine training this morning."

Gojo let out a disappointed sigh. He had hoped to mess with them a bit, especially tease the uptight Jean and Rogue. He'd been coming to the mansion for almost three weeks now after his little training session, and he had noticed Rogue seemed to be getting closer to him. 'Well, seeing as she literally can't touch anyone else, that's understandable,' he thought.

Charles said, "Come sit with us, Gojo." The bald telepath folded his newspaper and took another sip of his tea. "Hank told me about your theory on how you wanted to improve your telekinesis by advancing it to energy manipulation. It is an intriguing idea but also an extremely difficult one, to say the least."

Gojo shrugged. "I don't know the half of anything, that's why I wanted Hank's opinion on it."

Logan snorted in agreement, finding all the scientific talk boring. "Alright, let me explain how Hank and I came up with our theory on how I might be able to further advance my telekinesis to manipulate energy and even eventually the elements. First, with my enhanced vision, I can see all types of energy around me—thermal, kinetic, electrical, you name it. This ability lets me identify and differentiate between them based on their unique signatures or wavelengths."

"Wait, so you can just see energy? That sounds a bit far-fetched. Even if you could, how do you gather it?" Ororo asked, intrigued.

"Good question," Gojo replied. "I will draw energy from my surroundings. For example, I can absorb heat to cool the area or pull kinetic energy from my surroundings. Once I gather it, I convert it into pure energy that I can manipulate."

"Alright, but how do you use this pure energy to control elements? It's not like pure energy can just turn into wind or fire," Logan interjected.

"That's where my control comes in. By concentrating and shaping this pure energy, I can influence elements. For wind, I manipulate the kinetic energy of air particles to create gusts or even tornadoes. For fire, I concentrate thermal energy to ignite flames and control combustion. Lightning is a matter of directing electrical energy and managing charges in the atmosphere. Or so Beast says at least."

Ororo, intrigued because this was her area of expertise, asked, "But how do you handle water and earth? They seem more complicated."

"With water, I think I can use telekinesis to move water molecules, creating waves or currents, and even change its state by altering its temperature. For earth, I control its density or induce vibrations to move and reshape it. Sometimes, maybe when my control becomes absolute, I'll use the Earth's magnetic fields to manipulate metallic elements within the ground. And for plasma, I ionize gas particles and use magnetic fields to shape and contain it before releasing that as a blast."

Gojo suddenly perked up and laughed, causing the three sitting with him to be confused. "What was funny?" Ororo asked.

"Oh, it's just that I remember something that will be totally awesome if I get the plasma bit correctly," Gojo said, an image of specific characters releasing something akin to a death beam from the tip of their finger coming to mind. 'Oh yes, I am definitely ripping that off,' he thought.

"It sounds like you'd need a lot of energy to pull all this off. How do you ensure you have enough?" Charles asked.

"You're right. The energy requirements are significant, so I will probably need to constantly gather energy from my surroundings. My enhanced vision will help me monitor my energy reserves and adjust my usage accordingly. It's all about maintaining a balance and using my mental training to focus precisely."

"I see. So, it's a combination of seeing the energy, gathering and converting it, and then using your mental focus to control and shape it. Makes sense, but it must take a lot of practice," Charles said.

"Exactly. It's a continuous process of learning and refining. The key is understanding the underlying physics and being able to adapt quickly to different situations. With enough practice, the possibilities are endless," Gojo replied.

Logan chuckled. "Well, kid, you are officially one of the most dangerous people on my list if you are able to achieve all of that."

'Giving the fact that I am already making progress with my personal training the next set of supervillains I face are in for a nasty bit of surprise.' Gojo thought while trying to keep a shit eating grin from showing on his face.

Charles hummed in contemplation. "Perhaps we will encounter more mutants with such abilities in due time. It would seem the evolution process is accelerating."
