Kael pinned Rosa down with his hands, his hazel eyes no longer clouded with gloom but shining with excitement and something else—appreciation? His gaze danced between her eyes for a brief moment before sliding down to her lips. He smiled oh so slowly, and it was clear he was dying to kiss her.

Rosa didn't fight him off; she didn't have the heart for it. To send a clear message to him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and secretly enjoyed the look of astonishment on his face before his smile made a comeback, wide and radiant.
"What's on your mind, hm? What's going on behind those beautiful gray eyes?" he murmured.
"Oh," I was waiting for the kiss, really. "...I was wondering, whatever happened to the mute princess?"
His smile faltered. "The mute princess has been missing for a long time. Nobody seems to know where she is, not that anybody cared about her anyway."
