The wind howled like a wild beast around the carriage, just the backdrop Rosa needed.
"My apologies, Counselor Emma. I cannot possibly let a fragile flower such as yourself out in a storm, regardless of your ability to withstand it."
Emma's eyes widened and then she winced, blinking furiously as grains of sand assaulted her eyes.
Rosa stepped closer, "Oh dear, do you have something in your eyes? Here, leave it to me."
If I'm strong enough to fend off competent fighters like Silver, carrying this woman a few steps should not be impossible. Right?
Slipping her arm around Emma's waist, Rosa braced herself, engaging her core and lifting Emma.
"Oh, my word!" A startled Emma, still blinking against the sand in her eyes, clung to Rosa's shoulders. "I-I must be too heavy for you!"
