Kael took both of her wrists in his hands and pinned them to the either side of her head.
"Those are the words of someone working alone. And that is not the case here—you know that all too damn well!"
As if to defy him, she gave a terribly lonely smile. "Am I really not alone, Your Grace?"
When Kael groaned, the fire that became alive in his hazel eyes startled her.
"I don't share, Lady Highmore!" He shouted then gulped and breathed a couple of times, "Not this ocean in your eyes," he murmured softly then bent down making her gasp as he kissed one of her eyelids and then the other before pressing his hot lips to her earlobe. "Not your undivided attention," he grazed her neck with the tip of his nose before kissing her soft skin there, "…and most certainly… not your heart."
