Brocks POV
It's been a year since I set out on my journey. I'm currently on my way back to Pewter City, my home, to take over from Professor Seto.
'Who'd have thought so much would have changed in so little time' I thought looking down over the city from the back of my Aerodactyl. From me starting my journey with over 20 Pokémon of which some were fully evolved one of which being a variant rock/fire type Tyranitar.
Back before I started my journey I was studying to be a Pokémon doctor. During the 6 months before I left I completed the practical side and during my journey, I got fully certified as a Doctor as I passed the tests. To be honest, after doing the practical I realized my heart wasn't in it and I wanted to be a breeder but the professor said that I had already put so much effort into it, it would be a shame if I didn't finish the course so I toughed it out.
I also became an honorary ranger due to an incident on Cinebar Island. You see fire type Pokémon are rare to find in the wild so the island is constantly being harassed by poachers, so I called the professor who told me 'Islands that have a poaching problem usually have one large place where the main group will meet up and store Pokémon with multiple smaller satellite groups. Once the main group is found you can use them to find the satellite groups and dismantle the whole operation.' this got me to start looking. After finding a bunch of satellite groups I eventually found the main group, after getting in touch with the professor I filled him in and asked him to put me in touch with Blane. Once I informed Blane of what was going on Blane and I raided the main base and found the locations of the other bases, the ways they were transporting the Pokémon, and the buyers. This turned out to be a rather big deal as it not only shut down the poachers on the island it also shut down a lot of smuggling routes.
Professor Seto had really changed Pewter City for the better after the Mayor was removed and arrested by the League for Embezzlement the League issued a public apology to my father saying that he was going on sabbatical. I of course wasn't happy about this but at least my siblings no longer felt like both their parents abandoned them so I could live with it. He also found multiple ore-rich veins when trying to create the habitats in Mt Moon 2 of which were of metals I had never heard of before called Adamite and Naquadah. This got the League very excited as they were both very expensive and useful materials which caused the mining industry to seem to pop up overnight. This also caused some issues for the Professor as he had to check everyone who was given access to the mines in case they were there to poach some of the incredibly rare Pokémon that now can the mine home.
He also managed to get the mines declared as a Preserve so Pokémon were not allowed to be caught there by normal trainers. The only exception was the miners, as sometimes the Pokémon would befriend them and end up following them home, but this was mainly the variant (Alolan) Golem line that did this as most of the other Pokémon either were too shy to interact or just didn't care about the miners being there as long as they weren't affected.
The Professor also decided to introduce my siblings to Pokémon and handed them all an egg to take care of when I was leaving aside from the youngest 2 who were too young to have Pokémon off their own.
But looking down over the City that Pewter has become I was really happy that Professor Seto had reached out to us and helped otherwise I don't think me and my siblings would be living the happy life they have now.
Kai Seto Pov
It's been a long 18 months since I took over as Pewter City's Interim Gym Leader and aside from the usual Gym Leaders responsibilities I also had my own to take care of.
I bought a few mines to try and create a setup similar to Oreburgh City in the anime where the City is now financially stable as they now sell ores and other materials to the league and companies in the Indigo and Honnen.
I also managed to get a contest hall set up in Cerulean City. I ended up gifting William and Rose Waterflower (Misty's parents) 6 Milotic's and informed them about their breeding and evolution requirements which improved their economic stability as they now had a resource that was incredibly desirable and hard to come by that could be regularly harvested, yes I'm talking about prism scales.
Also, Metagross has informed me that it had made contact with Mewtwo and knew the location of New Island where he is being held. After asking a few questions I managed to find out that the clone of Amber Fuji is still alive. So I started planning first I got Proygon-z to get me all the information on laws pertaining to cloning and genetic modification. As it turns out both of these topics are not only outlawed but also terminated with extreme vengeance due to an incident in Orre and the creation of Delta Pokemon. This got me thinking that I should take a trip to Orre and take over before handing it over to Charlie Goodshow to properly set up a Pokemon League there, but I could deal with that later as I want to make sure Amber survives to keep Mewtwo stable.
I have contacted Lance and told him and the Elite 4 about what I had found about New Islands and the experiments there which had infuriated Lance as I had told him that Metagross had found people who work for the League working on the Island which tipped him off that team rocket has managed to infiltrate the league. I also told him that my Metagross had informed me that the upper echelons of Team Rocket will all be on the Island 3 days after the league ends to see the progress that the scientists have had with Mewtwo.
I can see Brock returning with his Aerodactyl and have started the transfer of power over to him and started making sure I was ready to help invade New Island alongside Lance, Sabrina, and Surge. My system had informed me that Amber would be able to survive if I give her a large dose of Aura as it will kick start her body causing it to generate Aura and keep her alive, it will also alow her to wield Aura and that she would be able to live a normal life after the fact.
