It's been 2 Months since Cynthia and Lucian left with my data on Hisui and since then the traditionalists have more or less purged them from their government. They used the fact that they're being hypocritical and spouting hypocritical nonsense then backed up that fact with empirical data and copies of the books that I found to seal their fate. Technically their borders are still locked for another 4 months until they get the laws pertaining to new people in the region changed so that it's easier, friendlier and safer for foreign people to come and go, currently only Champions, Elites and Professors from foreign regions are allowed in. I luckily am a Pokemon Professor and Cynthia used that fact to invite me to see 'her region', I also am held in quite high standing by the current government due to the work I had done to unearth their past and that I allowed them to use the information to usurp the traditionalists.
Cynthia somehow found out that I have mentored a young Rock type gym leader so she gave me a piece of land in Orebrough City to build myself a house. Currently Byron is still the gym leader there but in 2 years he intends to hand it over to his son Roark so Cynthia asked me to help out.
So here I am in my new land in Orebrough City, I am currently talking to Porygon-z about how I should go around doing it.
"So any ideas Pory?"
"BZZT I would advise you to get some of your rock types who are adept in terrain manipulation to first solidify the land underneath where you intend to build so that it will become a solid foundation, then get a couple lucarios and Metagross to cerate the framework of the house out of Steel from there you only need to brick up the outside to create the exterior. Then get some of your pokemon with more finesse to create the interior, a couple Magnetons to handle the wiring and plumping and a few grass types to create the gardens and you should be able to finish by night fall today." Stated Porygon-z efficiently.
"Okay Pory I'm going to be having a meeting with Byron and his son Roark, I you already have full access to my finances so I'm going to give you access to the pokemon transfer system on my island with permission to transfer as many pokemon as you need. You have full artistic control of this project. Only demand I have is that I want an external building attached to the main house with a hot spring." I said handing control over to Porygon-z as I walked towards the gym for my meeting.
Entering the gym I told the receptionist that I was here for a meeting with Byron and Roark and she pointed me in the direction of the office.
Approaching the door I knocked and then entered.
"Good afternoon folks my name is professor Kai Seto Cynthia asked me to help train Roark to take over the gym in the next 2 years."
"Wait Professor Seto? As in the Father of Fossils? The man who not only found surviving fossil Pokemon from ancient times but also created a working Fossil Restoration Machine?" Asked Roark excitedly.
"Son calm down." Interjected Byron before his sone could continue.
Chuckling I responded "yep I'm that guy."
"Well Professor Cynthia said you could help make Roark ready to take over the gym?" Said Byron
"Yep we had an incident at the Rock type gym in Kanto. The Flint the gym leader abandoned the gym and left all the responsibilities on his 10 year old son who only had his starter Onix to his name."
"What the hell! A gym is a huge responsibility it should not be dropped onto the shoulders of anyone not ready to shoulder it's weight." Stated Byron.
"Yeah so I ended up stepping in and working as the interim Gym Leader for 18 months until the boy was ready to take over. I also have him nearly all of his rock,ground and steel types on his personal team and helped set up the mining industry in Pewter and turned Mt. Moon into a fossil types pokemon reserve."
"Okay so how will you be helping Roark?"
"First does Roark have any pokemon to his name?"
"Not yet he's meant to be getting one in a few months after he becomes 10 why do you have something in mind?"
"Maybe how about using only fossil Pokemon in the gym battles 5th badge and below and from 6th badge upwards he can make the decision himself?"
Byron and I turned to look at Roark who had stars in his eyes and muttering about cool fossils. Before we turned to each other and continued.
"Well it looks like my son wouldn't mind that decision."
"Good now all the children that I train get a Variant pokemon from me as their starter. As he's going to be a rock type gym leader how about an egg from my Variant Tyranitar line?" I asked casually like I wasn't offering someone an egg from a pseudo-legendary pokemon line.
"Are you sure it's okay to give him a pokemon that rare and valuable?" Asked Byron shocked.
"Heh Byron the main reason I accepted when Cynthia asked me to help Roark was that you're going to become a steel type gym leader that most people will challenge for their 7th badge. Most of my really cool variants are steel types and just imagine taking someone one with a team of 6 Steelix each one with a different elemental variation." I said excitedly causing Byron to grin.
"Yes that does sound exciting. But first things first let's sort our Roark."
"Yep tomorrow I'll drop off his egg and I'll send him my notes on his PokeNav about the rock type pokemon I've interacted with. It will include their diet and optimal ways to train them. It will also include how to avoid common injuries that they usually pick up during training."
"Thank you Professor. I was only expecting some pleaentaries and rough advice when Cynthia set up this meeting."
"Any time Byron I like talking to people about pokemon and Archeology. Talking about rock types usually overlaps." I said grinning as I bid both of them good night and left.
Making my way back to what was my plot of land I saw a massive house.
"Pory you really out did yourself this time" I said as my Porygon-z sipped over to me.
"Thank you. Do you want the tour and rundown of the facilities?"
"Yes please."
"Alright" he said leading me into the house.
"Ground floor is your basic essentials. Dining room, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Second floor is a library and home gym. Top floor is the 4 bedrooms with ensuites with the attic above that. There are 2 floors below ground. Subfloor 1 is a garage with subfloor 2 as a lab. There are both a loft and stairs to get to the floors. The outside has the hot spring you asked for as well as a large amount of berry trees which have been planted but not yet sprouted. There is also a large amount of land for pokemon to graze on and train. The front of the house has the walkway from the road and some more common berry trees planted alongside it. With the help of your grass types they should grow quickly and in a few months they should be ready to harvest your first batch." Said Porygon-z as he showed me around.
"Good job Pory. How about we spend the night on sky Island tonight and tomorrow Amber and I can move in."
"Sounds good boss I'll make a note of it and start jotting down things you need to pack."
"Thanks Pory, now let's go home."
