"Would you turn down the audio? It's bugging my thoughts," A thick, hoarse voice resounded from the backseat. Collins thinned his lips, stretched his hands to the button and switched it off. He adjusted the rearview mirror, peeking at Lucian. "Do you think he might have an aid outside prison? Someone to help him perpetuate his deeds?"
Collins attempted to strike a conversation with Lucian as he had been extremely quiet throughout the drive and this single act had Collins panicking.
Deep in his thoughts, his phone beeped with a new message. He glanced at it, reading off the contact ID from the screen.
"It is Miss Reyna." He announced, a bit elated, that she got back to them. This was the nineteenth time they had been driving aimlessly around Los Angeles, visiting places where the old woman would have gone to.
