Chapter 28 - 28. It is gone

"Do you doubt that there's something called rebirth?"

Jeraldine continued laughing like I wasn't being serious. I didn't blame her either for not believing me, even I at first doubted I could be given a second chance.

"How am I supposed to think like that? Is there something you want to discuss with me about? Just go straight to it, I don't like beating about the bush." I shook my head in denial and settled on the bed.

"Someone got you something. You have no right to reject it if I said my Uncle brought it." I warned her before lifting out the bouquet of red roses onto her laps. I took out the boxes of chocolate and placed it on her thighs.

"Him? He brought it?" Jeraldine answered, her dull mood lightening up. She unboxed the chocolate, taking note of the brand and took a bite out of it. "It is delicious. How did he know I liked this?"
