"Is there any case you want to settle with me? I am sure you made it clear to me in your car that my existence was a disgust to you." I had to ask but it appeared to be that my questions seemed to fall on deaf ears.
He ignored me, and continued talking with the doctor. I rolled my eyes, facing the police.
"My statement? There is nothing more to it than negligence. We were driving at normal speed and then an old lady came running into the road." I explained everything from start to finish, including how we got to the hospital.
"Thank you, Ma'am but we will still need you at the police station. To clear all doubts. It seems that Mr. Vale here has charged you for committing murder."
"What?" I yelled, my eyes raging with fury. Murder? How the hell was I blamed for something I even tried to prevent? Who knew if the old lady hadn't bumped into us she might be dead.
With what felt like eternity, Lucian emerged from the doctor's office.
