"Rachel, where have you been? You've got me worked up searching for you. It was only a misunderstanding that happened between you and Lana. Don't put too much thought into it." He was quick to close the gap between us, attempting to pull me into a hug.
I placed my palm in front of me, creating a distance between us.
"Why are you behaving like this? Won't you give your husband a kiss? You shouldn't be shy; no one is here." He pushed further with his words, my stomach churning in great disgust. "Come on, Rachel, you should know how women glue themselves to me. Lana is only my assistant. I can swear nothing is going on between us."
I threw a glare at Alex, my ears tingling in shock as I heard him deny the obvious!
'Did he think I was THAT stupid not to know the difference between a misunderstanding and the real thing? How could a pregnancy be a misunderstanding?' I shook my head. 'How come I am still fazed even after knowing Alex's true nature?'
