"That was the reason why you released all the videos?" He didn't know what to say again; that was what he could come up with.
"What's preventing you from going to the club or having fun too? You know that was always my behaviour before I got married to you? Why would I just stop it for someone who doesn't care about me, and likewise?" He questioned her.
Claire felt like there was a little bit of truth in what he had said. "I guess you were convinced to marry me, just like the way I was forced to." She informed him, and his heart sank a little bit on hearing what she had said. He didn't know that she was forced to marry him.
"I thought you married me because of money." He stated.
"Yes! You are not wrong. I was still forced to marry you, but it was because I needed money. Do you know the fastest way for us to be free again? Once our grandfather can get convinced and can give us what we really want, we are going to get divorced immediately. We should act well, so we can get divorced as soon as possible." She stood up from her seat and walked out of the restaurant, leaving him there.
Joshua was still confused that she was even the CEO of a company, and he didn't even get to know about it. He just found out some things about her.
He drove back home immediately, and then was welcomed by Ann. "Welcome sir." She greeted him, and he noticed that she was a little bit closer to him that evening.
"What's the problem? Is everything okay? Do you want to take a day off?" He questioned her, and then she sighed.
"What about Miss? She hasn't been back home since morning." Ann informed him while he took out his phone, wondering where she was.
"Okay. Thanks." He appreciated her and then walked up to his room while he waited for her to pick up the call, but there was no response. He called again, and then a male picked him up.
He knew that she was supposed to be home by now but not seeing her there made him worry somehow.
He wondered where she had gone at such a time.
"The lady you are trying to call is drunk right now; she is asleep." The other person on the call spoke and informed Joshua while he rubbed his hand against his forehead.
That was something Joshua's grandfather must not get to find out about either, because he was going to be in so much trouble once he could get to find out.
He hurriedly rushed out of the room after he managed to get the location of the bar in which she was currently at.
He drove as fast as he could, and got to the bar in no time. It was empty already, and they were closing the bar.
"Please, where is the girl? I talked to you on call just now." He questioned the bar attendant, and he pointed towards the direction in which she was. He immediately rushed towards here after spotting her sitting at a distance.
He realized she was already drunk.
Claire decided to get drurk since it had been a long time since she had even drink. That was what she would usually use to clear her head. That was the only thing that she could think of immediately after she left the restaurant.
"Claire! Claire?" Joshua tapped her body, but she was sleeping deeply already.
"I will be taking her now." He paid for all that she drank. She was really a strong drinker. She took a lot of bottles that he couldn't even get to count. He carried her, then took her out of the bar and drove back home.
Ann saw him coming from afar, and she also assisted him in taking her to his room. "Can you do me a favour and avoid telling my grandfather about this? I think she just went out to have some fun with her friends. No need to tell grandfather about it." Joshua said to Ann, and she sighed in return.
She knew the fact that Joshua was lying. She didn't want to betray her Master (grandfather), and at the same time, she wanted to keep his secret.
"Alright sir." She replied to him.
"Would you please help me change her dress? I don't think she would be comfortable sleeping in this dress." He requested her also, and she went ahead to grab her pyjamas from the closet and helped her to wear them. While Joshua left the room, so she could get changed.
"Don't forget to get take care of her hangover tomorrow." Joshua reminded Ann before she walked out of his sight completely. Joshua walked back into the room and then went to sleep on the chair that was right in the room.
The next morning,
Claire woke up with her head banging. It was a very painful one. She looked around and saw that she was already at home.
Different unanswered questions came to her mind. She looked at the clothes that she was wearing, and also saw that they were not her regular clothes.
She tried to remember what happened last night, but she still found it difficult to remember. She heard the sound of the restroom opening. She looked up and then saw Joshua coming out of the bathroom.
The towel was tied right around his waist while the water dripped from his body! He was so hot! He had abs, and he was cute. Who would have imagined that someone like him was a jerk? A Playboy?
"What are you staring at? I know you haven't seen a guy like me before, but please behave yourself. I am not interested in you." His sentence interrupted her thoughts.
She rolled her eyes at his words.
"You brought me home last night?" She questioned him out of curiosity, but he only looked at her in a weird way, not wanting to answer her question.
"You should prepare for dinner tonight. Grandfather wants us to pay him a visit." He informed her, completely ignoring her question.
"Dinner?" Claire asked him again, knowing very well that she was going to get another useless reply from him but she still asked...
